AIRTAME US INC Airtame Wireless HDMI Adapter : Essential Tech for Creative Endeavours (Airplay is a nice touch)

Simple, cost effective, wireless presentation system. I have been using this device since i got mine after a bit of a delay on their indigogo campaign. The initial firmware challegened my patience a bit and i eventually had to use the ethernet adapter to get it working as i wanted which defeated the point of wireless, however with each firmware update the device has become more and more of a winner. The most recent update has sorted out all streaming and speed issues and has made the device invaluable in our offices. It is super easy to use, we have had multiple people coming to our office to do pitches and they have all connected to the device seamlessly without any hassles. The device is also very much cheaper than the competing products on the market and there isn’t need for a whole cisco installation team to come to your office every week to help you update your hardware. All in all a very sleek, cost effective and simple solution that will save you a lot of time and hassle in your office if you do any sort of presentations on screens.

Essential tech for creative endeavours (airplay is a nice touch). I was an original backer of the project a few years ago, and used it sparingly as a student to stream things around the house and some coursework presentations. It worked well, but it was a bit fiddly and awkward. I started a games studio earlier this year and was looking for a decent solution to sharing our work on a projector and screen from multiple pc’s, aside from an awkward and cumbersome hdmi switcher, there didn’t really seem to be anything, then i remembered airtame, i bought a new one, plugged it in and it’s been invaluable ever since. We use it all day everyday, for both digital signage (tracking jira burndowns etc) and for sharing our work, an invaluable tool in the game dev process. As we expanded i bought more so that every room is now outfitted with one on a communal screen. Even when clients come to visit they love that they can download a small app (or we provide it) and they can imediately stream on our network. Whilst there have been a couple of issues with networking, it doesn’t like being forced to change ip addresses, airtame support were very helpful and we were able to rectify the issue very quickly. The only thing lacking was airplay support, but now they’ve introduced a beta version (and after remembering i was interested in it, they contacted me directly) that supports streaming directly from ios, also invaluable. Overall i would recommend this to any creative organisation, or anyone who has lots of different devices that need to present.

  • AIRTAME is a small, easy to set up device that plugs into the HDMI port on your TV or projector. Connect it to your WiFi network to wirelessly mirror your entire desktop, present from mobile devices, stream to multiple screens and more!
  • AIRTAME is built for enterprises and supports a number of features other wireless streaming solutions do not such as WPA2 Enterprise, ethernet connections for noisy WiFi environments (separate adapter required), Access Point mode, and connect with IP.
  • AIRTAME works with all major platforms. All you need is an AIRTAME device connected to your TV, to wirelessly stream using the free AIRTAME app on Mac, Windows, Android, iOS and Linux. No need to plug anything into your computer or mobile device.
  • AIRTAME gets new features and improvements over-the-air. You have the choice to either receive them automatically as they are released or at a time that suits you.
  • AIRTAME is flexible: it supports dual band operations (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and you can even stream to it directly when not in the vicinity of another WiFi network.

Airtame has gone a long way since its initial launch. Hardware itself has always been great but it’s true the first software releases were bad. Fortunately, this is no longer the case. Screen mirroring works fairly well now even when streaming to multiple devices. 5 ghz radio is a blessing in a crowded environment. Can’t wait for implementation of extended desktop feature.

Delivery was prompt but part of the charger was missing.

Airtame Wireless HDMI Adapter for Enterprises : Easy to install, easy to use and works perfect.

Finally a way to wirelessly show your screen on tv/projector. . I think first requirement is that you need a good wifi network/router for this to work well. I would advice a good rated dual band wifi router. If you connect airtame to 5ghz network and laptop to 2. 4ghz network, then its the best setup for you. Also, select and uncrowded wireless channel. If you have not done this, then you might end up complaining even though its not a product issue. Once i did that, i was able to display my screen on the tv screen and there were no issues at all. The level of support at airtame forums in quite good as well. Presentations work really well too once you select the appropriate intelligent mode in the software.

No other business solution comes close, use it for meetings and to show our company’s kpi metrics.

Coming from chromecast, i can see the difference in terms of quality, speed / performance and security (that’s where the extra bucks are going). The firmware that shipped with the device had a few bugs but after a quick update it works like charm. Great for meetings and presentations.

An effective solution for wirelessly casting that actually works. . Found airtame after trying, without success, numerous other methods of wirelessly displaying in a meeting room environment. Although airtame is a more expensive solution, i have found that it provides an effective and flexible solution to our business requirements. Although set up was quite straightforward there were still one or two issues that were addressed quickly and efficiently by the high quality support offered by the company. Their follow up and attention to detail would shame most well established companies.

Decent tech and improving all the time. If you’re looking for something to turn your tv into an extended desktop or use it as your primary monitor, don’t buy this. That’s not what it’s designed for and not what it claims to do, either. If you want to do those things, you’ll have to look for a wired solution, or a much more expensive, dedicated wireless one. This device decodes an hd video and audio signal over a wireless network (which, for the amount of data being processed, is no mean feat), or, if you prefer, it’ll work at a lower definition and reduce the latency, the lag between the computer (or phone/tablet) and the airtame. It will very happily stream in hd with a small delay, which is absolutely great for watching videos on a tv. Ignore the reviews that say sound isn’t transmitted; it is, just select the ‘video’ mode. It would be interesting to have audio in the lower latency modes, but it’s not yet offered, although at the rate they’re pushing updates i wouldn’t be at all surprised if it was on the way. Installation is relatively painless, you just need to download the software for a pc or laptop and work through the instructions.
