Right, cards on the table, i am not an audiophile. I am a normal person that frankly thinks digital music sounds just fine. I tend to spend much more money on visual things like large oled 4k tv’s. But i needed a turntable to play some vinyl on that we bought recently in florida. I was all set on one of those little £40 briefcase portable jobs but saw lots of negative reviews and wanted something that would look good in the living room, and this thing looks as expensive as it is. I especially like the built in amp and bluetooth connectivity, so i don’t need wires all over the place. I can even connect it to my amazon echo. There is a little bit of self assembly involved, but nothing too daunting. Connectivity, sound and aesthetics are all excellent.
Excellent piece of equipment, functions perfectly and has all of the features which i was looking for-auto cue, record size selector, speed selector, blue tooth connectable.

Great product let down by missing power supply. I would have given it higher rating but the 12v dc power supply was missing from the box event though box was sealed – (cant find way to contact seller to request they send out the missing item. Fortunately i have a universal 12v supply so can run it. Vinyl to digital converter software brilliant, and very easy to use records as wav files just down load from akai websitebluetooth feature very good and easy to use too.
Fantastic sound, great features and looks expensive and stylish. . If your like me and you love traditional vinyl then this is a great turntable. I looked around and tried many models but this is just ten out of ten compared to the others that don’t even come close. This is quality, it looks great with the beautiful walnut finish and brushed aluminium controls, but most of all produces great sound due to the design and practical aspects and no expense spared inclusions such as the gold plated rca jacks, lovely low mass aluminium tone arm with adjustable counterweight and silent belt drive system. This even has a bubble level to ensure you get the best performance when sighting the turntable on an uneven surface. This connects effortlessly with bluetooth streaming and therefore allows a wireless system to be created, but if your a traditionalist and want to use powered speakers then that is also easy to do with this turntable with the builtin switchable preamp. And if thats not enough it comes with all the software and capability to convert analogue records to digital via a usb, just brilliant.
A quality feel and sounds great.
AKAI Professional BT100 Bluetooth Enabled Premium Performance Belt-Drive Turntable : Would have liked a bit less on the assembly.
Back in time with a decent player. . I’m happy with deck performance given price mark.
This is a stunning device: both sound- and design-wise.
Got my old vinyl collection out. And connected the turntable to my sony speaker and, need i say anything else.
If it wasn’t for the fact it had bluetooth i’d be a little disapointed.
Great turntable but cant record anything from it as i get a constant humming sound drives me mad.
Looks great sounds fantastic worth every penny.
What a beautiful piece of kit this is. I’ve been getting back into vinyl the last couple of years using an ion max with an old cd amp i had lying around. Ion’s a decent entry level back into vinyl btw. A ‘special’ birthday came around last year and i got a yamaha rn02 amp and a pair of dali zensor speakers to boost the ion. Buti have now went the whole hog and got the akai pro bt500 to complete the set up. You can feel the quality straight out of the box, lovely weight, feel and look to it. The high gloss walnut is so fine lookingan absolute doddle to put together and get up and running. Rca cables included to hook up to an amp along with pc usb lead to hook up to pc for ‘ripping’ music to pc.
Great turntable but not for the audiophile. . I did not buy this from amazon as at the time it was out of stock, the bt100 is a well made deck with many good things going for it and some down sides which i will explain. Taking the deck out of the box there is a bit of assembly which takes about 5 minutes once done and plugged in you can bluetooth it to any bluetooth enabled device ie active speakers, bluetooth amp, the back of the deck has usb output, rca phono on/off switch and preamp on/off there is also a 3. 5mm audio out on the top next to the platter. The deck is fully automatic and has 33/45 slector switch and on/off switch all of which work reassuringly well, the tone arm is non adjustable the cartridge is fixed and cannot be replaced only the stylus can be replaced, the instructions say that the down force of the stylus is pre set at the factory and cannot be altered. Now how does it sound well i tried a number of different records from new recordings to old vinyl and generally the sound is good but there is a sonic tinny feed back which i traced to the tone arm which is caused by the non decoupling of the tone arm from the deck, on the whole the sound is detailed with a warm sound quality. To summerise if you want a turntable to spin a few discs now and then you can’t go wrong with the akai bt100 but if you are a audiophile there are limitations to concider. Pro’seasy set up, well made, all the cables included, detail instructions, good quality sound, flexible connections, inbuilt pre amp, bluetooth connectivity. Con’sfixed non adjustable tone arm, fixed cartridge, location of 3. 5mm jack, the feed back on the tone arm, not much else.
