auna TT-186E Stereo Turntable Record Player LP USB SD MP3 Recording FM Radio Tuner – good for the price and the speed of the delivery

No weight adjustment on needle so use blue tack to. No weight adjustment on needle so use blue tack to prevent skipping, the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired but the unit plays records if you are not a vinyl buff and looking for perfection.

Nice sound with an adjustment. Before this player i had a £40 steepletone player which was ok, but was rather tinny, so i bought this after noticing it had a bass adjuster (plus the added usb and sd slot and radio attracted me), upon it’s arrival i realised it’s actually exactly the same as my old player (case, cover, arm, speakers), just with the added bits, so i was a bit gutted, but then after playing something and pressing the bass boost i really noticed the difference, really does sounds great now, not tinny at all with the perfect level of bass. Only 4 stars though as the arm is very light and i had to put blu-tack on it to stop it jumping and skipping. Overall i’d say it’s good value for the money, sounds nice, looks ok, arrived very quickly, wouldn’t want to pay any more than what i did for it though (£83).

Here are the specifications for the auna TT-186E Stereo Turntable Record Player LP USB SD MP3 Recording FM Radio Tuner:

  • Enter your model number
    to make sure this fits.
  • COMPLETE SET: The auna TT-186E comprehensive stereo system combines both classic and modern functionality. The stereo system includes a vinyl turntable, a FM radio tuner, a USB port, a SD card slot and built-in speakers.
  • RECORD PLAYER: A central element is a smooth-running vinyl turntable, which includes a belt drive, a straight tone arm and a replaceable pickup. This central element is sheltered from dust thanks to the dust cover. The turntable can rotate at two speeds.
  • ARCHIVING: Via the built-in USB slot on the stereo system, whatever you play on the vinyl turntable or CD player or even listen to on the radio can easily and readily be recorded onto a USB stick and digitized for further processing on the PC.
  • REMOTE CONTROL: All the functions and modes of the retro stereo system can be easily controlled using the included remote control. In doing so, set the order of playback, activate the intro function and control all other functions of the stereo system.
  • INTEGRATION: Alternatively, the auna TT-186E stereo system can be integrated into an existing HiFi system at any time using stereo the RCA line. You can easily switch from using the built-in stereo speakers to a high-end 5.1 or 7.1 home cinema system.

I know this may sound strange to many, but there is nothing like the scratchy sound of a pickup needle travelling along a vinyl groove to bring back the atmosphere of those heady, carefree days. I’m not sure what it is, but vinyl records do sound a bit different and, if you are like me, you have a stash of old 33s and even 45s gathering dust in a box. New-generation vinyl players are enjoying a revival and there is a sea of them. I looked but could not make up my mind, until i got the chance to try this auna model and now my search is over. This discreet, light-weight unit fits into the smallest space, only requiring a little shoulder room for the integrated speakers (not all new turntables have them). There are optional jacks for connection to hi-fi speakers or an amplifier, but the onboard speakers are surprisingly loud and the sound quality is more than adequate for such a compact unit. When judging sound quality, one must be realistic and keep in mind the very accessible cost of this player. If you are after top sound, then you will need to shop at a much higher price level. The pickup arm is delicate-looking but the lightness makes it possible to drop the needle with great accuracy.

Only used it plugged into the mains so far & its not too bad sound wise. Although its basic my teenage daughter was fascinated as she’d never seen one in action. Funny thing actually showing her for a change how to work it. P’s haven’t been scratch proofed yet.

I can’t answer all questions because l got it as a gift for christmas for my son ,looks good good price.

Great little unit easy to use and delivered really quickly.

Budget record player best used for monitoring only. Wanted a player just to record singles before selling on ebay so this machine looked ideal. It would have been even better if the ‘line out’ was independent of the volume control as stated in manual (and on just about every audio piece of hardware that i’ve ever seen). It’s also an un-eqed, very trebbly output with loads-of-hum so you’ll need an audio fix to rectify the signal. Also the player arm vibrates horribly audibly when playing because it’s very loose both up and down and side to side on the fulcrum. This is fixed by a heavy blob of bluetack on the central spindle. An arm lifting lever would also have been very handy as it’s a fiddle to put the arm down, say, on the last track of an lp – with quite a risk of damage if it slips from your finger. The benefit is that it’s very portable for room-to-room use. In essence, with a bit of extra engineering and thought, this machine could have taken the biscuit.
