Creative Sound Blaster E3 Headphone Amplifier : excellent piece of gear

Does exactly what it’s supposed to, and does it well. Excellent sound quality as a sound card, and a reasonable boost as an amp with no reduction in sound quality. Decent build quality, despite what other reviews have said, as long as you understand that it is made of plastic.

Good but not sure sound improvement warrants the cost. . Please note my review relates to e1 not e3 as this is what i was sent instead. I am not a huge gadget expert and was a little unsure of how much use i will get from this product. To be honest i do see a small benefit, but not sure i would spend this amount to get this improved quality of sound. I found the sound quality and detail was much improved from my pc and will use it more for this than with a smartphone. Am going to experiment more as i build my gadget knowledge up.

Is a useful addition to boost your laptop music output and. I am still experimenting with this little sound card but so far i’ve found it certainly improves the volume output from my macbook pro and my iphone, plus, via the free downloadable creative software, it allows you to experiment with and customise the sounds you get through headphones or indeed portable speakers. I’ve also used it to connect to my ipad using the supplied ‘line in’ lead and attaching headphones through one of the two sockets, but to be frank i cannot notice any real difference in volume or quality of sound. It’s clear that the impedance of the headphones, and presumably speakers, used affect the output significantly. I tried some sennheiser in-ears and the sound was awful – loud but tinny. When i tried some bose on ear soundtrue lightweight phones designed primarily for use with mobile phones – don’t know the impedance and cannot find it from the bose site. – these were definitely improved both on volume and the quality of sound, which was fuller across the range. Then i tried some sennheiser hd 25-1 over ear phones at 70 ohm impedance and whilst there was some increase in volume, i found it difficult to detect much difference in the dynamic range or quality of sound. But i’m still experimenting with these and the bose using the creative software. So overall this little box, about the size of two aa batteries side-by-side, is a useful addition to boost your laptop music output and, to a lesser extent, the music coming out of your phone.

Really powers my gaming headhones. Blue tooth is great as well have it matched with my phones and my samsung tv.

Creative Sound Blaster E3 Headphone Amplifier : It’s good at what it doesbut i’m still not sure of the best uses. . But i’m not sure of the best uses. It connects easily to bluetooth with no issues. It has two sockets for jacks so that you can use headphones with mic that has one or two plugs, or that you can use two headphones with one plug each. Sound quality of phone calls and music is good. I’m just not sure when i would want to use it?. I’m guessing that if i don’t want to use a bluetooth earpiece & prefer headphones i can use this to swap over. You get a couple of cables so that you can charge it (usb) and plug things in. Good gadget that works well, but it is a little bit pointless.

One of the best audio products i have ever bought. . One of the best audio products i have ever bought. It works as an external sound card on my laptop, desktop at work and my iphone. I also use it as a wireless receiver to listen to music on the go and in the gym. A very versatile product with an audio quality to match. It turns my two pairs of wired headphones in to wireless models. Perhaps the buttons could have been placed better and given more individual feel, but this is a minor irritation.

Best thing i have bought for ages. . A main annoyance with the iphone 7 is solved. I can now use a variety of headphones and not rely on the silly 9?. Pound dac cable that came with the phone and i promptly lost. Not only does it sound much better but i love the added audio controls on it and how it lets me keep my iphone hidden away on the bus etc. I will probably keep an eye out for a second cheap one to get as a spare.

This does the job it is paid for ie increases the volume on my 60s and 70s music. However the fiio eo6 is smaller and lighter and cheaper and does the same job. Value for money it does not score on compared to others. The volume control is difficult to move up and down gradually. Reasonable product but i cannot recommend when there are cheaper similar products available.

Superb apt-x bluetooth headphone amp for on-the-move. I’ve had this little gem about a year now, and i must admit to have being slightly bemused about it’s true use for some time after buying it. And how is it best used?at first i tried using it as an external dac, running my ipod 5g connected to it playing 24/48 flac files (24/48 is the maximum bit-depth/sampling rate that this unit will support via microusb). But the wires and arrangement was a little ‘clunky’ and frankly got in the way of my daily commute. Then i tried using it as an analogue amplifier connected to my sony nw-zx100 via a fiio l50 cable. Again, it worked fine and gave useful gain to the relatively weak sony’s output on my crowded daily train commute.

This is one of the most useful products i have bought this year. It increases the volume on my car stereo system by about 50%. I connect via bluetooth to my android smartphone – really easy to set up each time i get in the car.

Soundblaster e3 headphone amp. As someone who has listened to a number of headphones using my iphone 7 the biggest criticism is the woeful dac which offers terrible sound quality compared to other smartphones on the market. Went to my local richer sounds who suggested i try a soundblaster e3 as it had very positive results, on first impressions i thought it looks too small to offer what i was looking for. Having connected to my b & w p7’s wireless headphones all i can say is wow, not only is the detail massively better but the amp really adds a greater sense of real natural sound & volume. As someone who has spent some serious money on a tube hi fi system which is my pride & joy – this really is incredible value for money plus because it’s so tiny can be clipped onto shirt while running which is a huge advantage along with added controls makes it the best value product i have ever invested in without spending a lot on a chord mojo which i’m sure is amazing but not practical for mobile use.

Great sound and some (maybe) useful other functions. I initially missed the point of this device as i spent a day or so trying to understand what it was supposed to achieve as i was just using it between my phone and headphones to listen to some music. In this role it does have small value as it will function as a remote control for play and pause and a volume control. It also has a very good quality microphone and the ability to plug in two sets of phones without any loss of volume or quality. (if only i had it when i was courting my now wife all those years ago. )in this mode it seems like a fairly pointless device. Yes it adds the above functions but there are few sets of headphones nowadays which do not have inline controls and a microphone. The ability to plug in two sets of headphones is of limited use considering the inconvenience. And as both my laptop and imac have headphone sockets connected to sound cards it was with little expectation that i downloaded the software and plugged it in to the usb socket of my imac. However it became very clear almost immediately that the quality of sound is far in excess of the standard output.

NAD D 7050 – digital audio streamers – Direct Digital Amplification works

This sounds great through speakers. Obviously, the better your speakers, the better this dac will perform with them. However, the reason i’m not giving it five stars, is because the headphone connection is appalling. For an audio device of this price, that is inexcusable. If you connect an headphone amp from the rca outlets on the back of the amp, it sounds great – but that means there is no simple way to turn the speakers off. It’s another example of a company with a reputable name undermining their renowned reputation by taking the cheap way out. A decent headphone connection is the bare minimum you should expect from a device such as this, and in the long run, it will do nad no favours, as people will obviously look elsewhere for something so basic. I like this device very much and it’s that very simple failing that keeps me from loving it and telling everyone i know to get one immediately.

Utterly remarkable and also rather splendid. Nad’s circuit design team are due penthouses on sydney harbour bay, all round i would say. A few years ago, they came up with the ‘direct digital’ amplification method. This, to put it simply removes analogue circuitry from the signal path, until at the speaker connections where the signal is rendered analogue by use of a low pass filter. For decades, amplifier designers have been wrestling with the complexities and compromises of analogue amplification. Thousands of circuit designs have been applied, each providing amplification of the received signal, with the generous addition (free of charge) of varying degrees of noise, hum, harmonic distortion, intermodulation distortion, crosstalk, and all manner of delights to change the character of the incoming waveform and then get even more panicky when the speaker cones start actually moving. The success of these devices to move the speaker cones in a fashion that somehow represents the incoming waveform and (depending on the accuracy of the incoming signal ((its fidelity to the output from the mixing desk)) and the ability of the speakers to convert their incoming signal into air pressure waves) is highly variable, however, to use some hi-fi reviewer bod terms, always inclusive of degrees of colouration, hardness, glare, masking, muddle. I could go on, but i already am. The nad d 7050 completely fails to hurt my ears with any of the above. Pure and gorgeous music flows from my speakers to my soul.

Amazingly musical and yet analytic amp, unbeatable for digital connections. Excellent value for money. . It is hard to review an amp because the overall quality of the sound will depend also (largely) on the speakers, so you need to take this review as a review for the combination, really. Having said that, i have tried both the nad d 3020 and the nad d 7050 to drive a pair of kef ls50 (extraordinary speakers, by the way). I have listened to several tracks (the same ones) from a wide diversity of musical genres on both systems one after the other. I did this at home, on music i know well, so i feel i can compare at least the two. Both were good, but sound-wise the 7050 proved much superior: the 3020 is warm and musical but a little underpowered to drive the kef (30w at 4 ohms, the kef require a minimum of 25w and have an impedance of 8 ohms. But the 7050 is astonishingly analytic and musical. The two often don’t go together.

Forward thinking design with incredible sound. I went into my local hi-fi dealer intending to buy a standalone dac to go with my existing system as i have now sold my cds and instead stream my music from spotify or my pc hard drive. After trying a few of them, including the highly rated irdac, i then auditioned the d7050 which would suit my needs as an all-in-one solution. I was astonished at how great it sounded. I then spent the next hour switching speaker and amp combos (some amps costing up to £1500) to see if it could be bettered and to my ears it couldn’t. I purchased the amp along with a pair of psb mini speakers and have been very happy. After living with the amp for 6 weeks i can now report the following positives:1. Sound quality – great separation between individual instruments on tracks, gives the sense of a wide sound stage. Good digital connections – i connect my pc by usb, ps3 and tv by optical and coaxial and there are still more left over3.

Reviews from purchasers :

Good concept but doesn’t feel like a well thought out product. . Pros- packs a lot of features into a small lightweight package. – usb audio works extremely well with apple macintosh computers. I’ve found very few usb audio devices that work well with the mac. – overall sound quality is detailed and clear. – virtually no hum coming through the speakers. Cons- compared to similarly priced hi-fi systems, the sound lacks punch and precision, especially at louder volumes. The 50w/ch rating is misleading as it’s rated into 4 ohms instead of the usual 8 ohms. – with power save off, the unit remains warm on standby. With power save on, it takes a good 12 seconds to start up before sound comes out.

Direct digital amplification works. I had the amp now for about 4 months and it has settled right into my set up i chose the amp for two reasons i like the idea of less processing this was a major step up from my high end dac i also liked that i could output to separate amp for 2. 1 set up as i use open baffle with the bass being powered by this. The amp is very easy to set up and has many digital inputs. My only real complaint is that spotify will not work with a windows set up. The sound on my set up is very clean with lots of speed detail and depth. It will play anything i throw at from complex dram theater to intimate acoustic music. The technology of keeping everything digital seems to work in keeping jitter and distortion to a minimal. No analogue inputs as everything is in the digital domain so you need a converter if this is important to you, but then kind of missing the point of getting the best out of analogue. My advice would be to go for a more traditional amplifier if this is important to you.

Yamaha Electronics Yamaha A-S201 Integrated Amplifier – : 100 watt amp? I don’t think so!

This thing works well, provides clean 2 channel audio. This thing can push your speakers hard, assuming they are hard hitters.

Sound was great, bass was deep but clear. Bit of a mishap – went in to buy a as301 but ended up with the as201 because the guy in the shop said they were identical (which they certainly are not) as i was meaning the difference between a as501 and as301 which are identical in look. So got home and was a little gutted to find it was the wrong model and for £20 more i could of had the very well reviewed as301, however. I kept the as201 because when i reluctantly hooked it up to see if it was worth returning i was pleasantly surprised, sound was great, bass was deep but clear, definitely a yamaha worthy sound (previous yamaha owner) and was better than the nad amp i was replacing. I also liked the fully digital controls as you can control everything from the remote even the bass / treble. Simply put when i turned this amp up i realised for my neighbours sake that i really didn’t need the more powerful as301 and i appreciated the full remote functions enough to want to keep it. If you really need the extra volume then i’d go as301 or as501 but if your not planning on powering a disco then this one is a very good option.

If you are concerned about specifications on paper then this is probably not the best amp for you. I purchased this amplifier to replace a denon amp that i have been using for the past 26 years, the speakers that i am still using are bowers & wilkins dm6. If you are concerned about specifications on paper then this is probably not the best amp for you, (10% thd at 100 watts and 0. That said, on listening tests though i could not detect any difference in sound quality from this amp at even high sound levels than the more expensive amps, even though on paper they had better specifications. (maybe my ears are not what they used to be?). I would recommend this amplifier as it has excellent sound quality even at high volumes, several pre-set options memorised when the amp is switched on, a remote control that has more functions than i could find on any other amplifier and the bonus of a front panel display.

This is a replacement for my kenwood that got over heated. Wow the pure sound on this unit is a lot clearer and sharp. Very happy, i then bought a yamaha cd player with usb port this too sounds brilliant.

The specs that yamaha claim for this amp are way offfor instance the manual claims: maximum power (8 ohms, 1 khz, 10% thd) 100 w + 100 w. Notice the 10% total harmonic distortionfurther down in the manual we get a more honest rating: total harmonic distortion (20 hz–20 khz) :- cd, etc. So as we can see it’s only a 50 watt amp into 8 ohm load with acceptably low distortion with probably 80 watts into 4 ohms load. Having said all that the amp does sound good but i wish that yamaha had been more honest with the ratings. Nothing wrong with a 50 watt amp especially at this price point.

Marvellous excellent thank you.

For the money this is a great amp for your music system. Pumps out up to 100w so as long as you have decent speakers to match then you shouldn’t be disappointed (unless you’re one of those people who expects the very best for very little, or ‘naive’ as a single word definition)sadly i had to send it back as i realised that what i really needed was an av receiver with hdmi/usb/optical capabilities, but for the 2 months i had it is was my best amp-friend.

If you really need the extra volume then i’d go as301 or as501 but if your not planning on powering a disco then this one is a very good option.

Works well working with anything i tried and gives better range and more reliable connection than blue tooth adaptors. Bluetooth reciever works well working with anything i tried and gives better range and more reliable connection than blue tooth adaptors i have , bluetooth + 2 other inputs is sufficient. Style + design is fun, size is conveniently smallbut build quality and sound quality are average and headphone output is particularly poor where background buzz is very noticable. There’s better sounding equipment, there’s worse too. Buy for style and reliable bluetoothowned for 2 years.

Wow brill amp the clarity of the sound is 1st class, would recommend on mend to all.

Superb sounding high quality bluetooth amp i was pretty sceptical about the whole bluetooth quality but this really does sound sweet warm and detailed and great for listening to reggae just buy it .

Both to listen to, and look at. . I’ve recently subscribed to qobuz, and wanted to see what it would be like to run flac, 24-bit hd quality sound through my phone to this amp using the bluetooth. I has my reservations, surely i’d lose sound quality?not at all. The amp and connection quality is immaculate. Can’t believe the price i got it for either.

This product is very very lovely. This product is very very lovely. I had a small issue with the first dispatch, but richer sounds managed to send me a second one very quickly no problem, the customer service there is top of the class.

Fatman Mi-Tube 2 Bluetooth Hybrid Valve Amplifier : Had these for 13 months now. I can’t rate it high enough i used this to replace my onkyo tr609 as it chewed threw its 2nd hdmi board as my main audio system in lounge. I was cautious and spend 2 week deliberating thinking will it be man enough. And the answer is being man enough doesn’t come into it. My dear wife said why do we have this on the top it looks odd. I said listen and played her it through tv speakers and since then she has let it stay. The bass is very good and the rest kicks assemblies. 1st time ever recently it did struggle with some really deep punchy bass but everything else just sounds so much better i will be replacing it when it dies with exactly the same thing well done fat man.

Lovely ambiance off this amp – once it gets rolling. Lovely ambiance off this amp – once it gets rolling anything analogue jumps up and should be accompanied by a chorus of music angels lol.

Bought this bad boy and it was delivered on tuesday so had. Bought this bad boy and it was delivered on tuesday so had time to run it in – i would have given it 5 stars except for the fact it comes equipped with chinese stock 6n1 valves. A friend let me have some tesla czech 6n1p valves and the difference is night and day – warm luxurious sound that gets better as the day goes on driving my tannoy mercury m4 floorstanders through the ceiling – my neighbours love me (not). I have since ordered off the bay of love some ex soviet military vokshod 6n1p-ev sets (8 for £13 delivered) which a lot of audiophiles rave about so the fact it will get even better has got me as excited as benny hill on a milkfloat. I would have given it 5 stars straight out of the box but can understand why they fit the 6n1 as they are more readily available to manufacturers (imagine trying to buy ex military stuff if your subject to inspection) and the tube rolling (swap out) is not exactly rocket science. Just be careful to let them cool down and discharge before attempting it yourself as poorly manufactured valves have been know to shatter – and make sure you are earthed off (i lean against my radiator) to eliminate and static flow. As for the sound through bluetooth – amazing – through and airplay device attached – mindblowing – cd – orgasmic.

AudioEngine D3 Premium 24 Bit Digital Anaolgue Convertor : OK Amplifier – Not So Great DAC

I am not exactly an audiophile, so i was a bit in doubt if this was worth the price (more than my beloved harman kardon soundsticks ii). Many people probably won’t hear any difference, just like many people can’t taste any difference between a good burger and a crap one. And ok, the difference does not hit you in the face. But to me there *is* a clear difference, and a very pleasant one. The treble sounds are less ‘sharp’ while still be better defined. There’s better space, and the overall sound is more precise and relaxed, and just pleasant. If you care about sound and you can afford a little luxury like this, i recommend it.

Audioengine D3 Premium 24 Bit Digital Anaolgue Convertor (DAC) USB Audio Amplifier : Ok amplifier – not so great dac. Hi,i’ve been using this dac with my sennheiser hd 598 on a regular basis now. This really does amplify the sound and even amplifies the bass (has a separate option to boost bass to a significant level). While i must say that it definitely enhances the sound volume which makes certain notes more pronounced, but it seems that the sound _quality_ isn’t as good when i compare it to my laptop (without using this dac/amp). The sound is a lot cleaner (though with much less bass) without these amps on my laptop.

It was a toss up between the audioquest dragonfly and this, both very similar products, both excellent. I went with this and don’t regret it at all, it looks great and sounds great.

Denon DA-10 Portable Headphone Amplifier With D/A Converter – – Good portable headphone amplifier

A head phone amp that allows you to take a audio source directly from the lightening port of your apple device as well as an aux input. Feels very light but performs well. Bit pricie so looses 1 star.

I have had two fiio headphone amps and was pleased with how they worked. I have a pair of audio technica hd headphones and the first time i used the da-10, they were awakened and came alive. The sound is well balanced and tight. I’m hearing detail now i’ve never heard before with the da-10. The soundstage is natural and refined. The da-10 is well worth the investment.

A great companion for those who. Brings out the maximum of my sennheiser hd 598. Well balanced, clear and full of details. A great companion for those who, like me, don’t have much chance to listen music through some really good amp+speakers but longing for high-end sound quality at home. It is perfect for how i use it: listening music at home from my pc (via usb) from high quality mp3 or streaming. The da-10 does an unbeatable job in this setup and have all the features what is needed (even switching off charging to reduce noise). Also has a very solid build quality with impressive battery life. For all these reasons it is real 5+ star for me. (i am sure that does the same good job with iphone and ipad but has not tried yet. • Headphone amplifier stage, for superb listening with all kinds of headphones or in ears
  • Audiophile analogue output stage

Good portable headphone amplifier. It is easy to connect and the sound is really great. The size is a bit too big when you want to bring it with you.

  • Good portable headphone amplifier

What a difference this makes to the music playback on my iphone. The soundstage and detail is so much better than it was before. It pays to shop around for the best deals on this product but at less than £160 this represents good value currently. More of a desk amp as it’s not as portable as the dragonfly or similar although it does come with a carrying pouch which will accommodate an iphone 6/6s (and probably a 7) but not the plus sized version. No need to buy additional cables either as everything you need is in the box. A nice, rugged-looking piece of kit. The only downside is that it reveals which of your headphones are compromised in their delivery – too much woolly bass for example. I’m enjoying this through atomic floyd airjax in my study and the sound is great.

Really good dac not as well known or spoken as it deserves. Really great dac and portable headphone amplifier, not very well known to the crowd as it does not get much attention on head-fi and other forums. It is frankly beyond me why fiio products, for me cheap but somewhat mediocre to average products at best, get so much attention instead. If you can get (and you can) this denon for a comparable price, do not even consider a fiio and thank me later. I own this, the creative e5 and finally the mojo which was supposed to be the end of the upgrading game. To be honest i cannot find much of a difference between that and the d-10 while the creative is a bit on a lower level sound-wide but still worth owing for its bluetooth capability and the microphone input. The d-10 misses the 5th star for me because:1. Form factor too bulky when compared to mojo2. Lacks bass booster button which i liked in the oppo ha23. Only one headphone jack while the other 2 dac i own have 2.

S.M.S.L SMSL Q5 Pro HiFi Integrated Mini Digital Stereo Audio 45WPC Pure Digital Amplifier AMP USB Coaxial Optical AUX Input – SMSL Q5 Pro Mini Amp

Good performance for the price (for a small full-digital setup), but sound is less rich than even a cheap analogue amp. . I bought this smsl digital amplifier to avoid having to get a more expensive analogue amp to power the two dali zensor 1 bookshelf speakers in my living room. They are small speakers, but i like the way they sound, and they are certainly capable of doing a good job with the correct source material and equipment. Current setup: i connect this smsl unit to my tv digitally via an optical toslink cable. The tv takes input from my pc, or whatever is playing on digital tv, and feeds it to the amp, which is connected via banana plugs and thick speaker cable to the speakers. The setup is quite sleek, and sounds good. The one star i’ve lopped off stands for the difference between this full-digital amp and a cheap analogue cambridge audio a1 amp i was briefly loaned. The a1 was not in good condition, but the audio sounded richer than it does through the smsl, somehow. Also, the remote is a bit odd to use.

Not intrusive and easy to use – very happy with the appearance and the sound. . Easy to set up and a lovely sound on my old bose speaker system.

Really happy with it, being used to power some monitor audio bx2 speakers , got a chromecast, tv and pc connected really impressed with the output for the size of the unit. • Pure digital amplification technology, including audio mode optical fibre, coaxial, computer USB, analog input.
  • Meets high-definition Blu-ray and HD-DVD format for demanding audio interface standard with sampling rate 44.1-192K own testing.
  • RCA gold-plated lotus signal input and 4-wire signal output.

It really is miniature, and exceptionally good value. I find it sounds pretty good usb driven from my pc in my small office, 2. 4metres, 20% filled with books and furniture, and driving a pair of cambridge minx min 20, and using its sub-woofer output to drive a cast-off sw. But don’t be deceived by the power rating. It’s really only 20w max, according to the ti specification sheet [. – and it certainly sounds like it if driven hard at the input. Be sure to have the volume set at close to maximum to avoid input overload. The remote works well, with a number of useful ‘equalisation’ settings. ]

Fantastic piece of audio equipment. It’s fantastic very powerful amplifier, i changed the power filter capasitor to a nichicon audio grade one 3300uf and it made a huge difference sound quality is now amazing and has more bass and better vocalupdate 8th august 2016 amp is still going strong as anything, never had a single issue with it, definitely a must buy.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Small! Good performance for the price (for a small full-digital setup), BUT sound is less rich than even a cheap analogue amp.
  • Great little Amp. Sounds great and Great value for money too.
  • Compared the latter i really think this amp really is unique in terms of features and also has great sound quality

I use this paired with some klipsch r14m and it does the job excellently, i use the usb with my mac for playing music then the optical is connected to ps4/tv/everything else via a hdmi/optical switcher. The digital inputs of course sound great and drive my speakers with an amazing amount of headroom. The sound combination of my speakers and this dac/amp is nothing short of awesome. The remote that comes with this amp does the job well, make sure that ‘a’ is selected as ‘b’ and ‘c’ leave the remote not able to control the amp. The size/construction of it is brilliant, just make sure you dont turn it on until it’s all plugged in otherwise you will get a frightening spark from where the power connector plugs in. The display is bright, maybe too bright if left on wish it was dimmable but that’s my only complaint. It’s a great little unit and value for money. Would not hesitate to recommend this to a friend.

Been using it for my tv / ps4 / music, pair it with a set of cambridge audio min22 and x201 sub, working great and even my wife is impressed with the sound quality of the whole set up.

This amp does exactly what i need. Solid power and a great overall soundstage. It is ideal for a nearfield system.

As a desktop music amp i’m happy with the sa-50 plus. It has amazing sound quality and the results are most pleasing. Plus it is really comfortable with the remote.

Overall pleased with the purchase. Not spectacular but works well – remote is a bit ropey but reviews on youtube are accurate. Nice compact unit with decent sound. I doubt it would satisfy a purest but for those with modest tastes it is absolutely fine.

Well made and brilliant performance. It is a small item but definitely with power good performance.

Unbelievably small amp,but packs a big punch. Excellent sound, used it to power my tv surround bose setup, drives the sub well etc. Do note however: it does not say where the unit is dispatched from on the amazon ad. (just free uk delivery)>the item is dispatched from china and thus is subject to import duty. We had an invoice which we had to pay on line before the item would be delivered.

Custom computer sound system. I’ll try to cover additional information to other reviews on here. This amp does come with a uk 13amp plug. It is also fitted with a 3amp fuse in it. The plug is also fully wired. The power supply brick looks quite good quality. Only time will tell how it stands up to use. The amp does not come with a headphone out jack. The only outputs on the amp are wiring posts for a pair of stereo speakers and a sub woofer coax output. All the other connections on the back are for various inputs. Left to right on the back:1) 3.

Compared the latter i really think this amp really is unique in terms of features and also has great sound quality. My previous one was the non-pro q5 which died so i ordered the new version after a brief return to ab class amps. Compared the latter i really think this amp really is unique in terms of features and also has great sound quality. Amp is currently powering 4 cambridge min 11 speakers and a cambridge s90 sub with ease. Critically for multi input scenarios that living room amps typically deal with these days it defaults to volume 20 every time you power on / off. So no blowing your ears off if you forget to turn it down. Improvement from previous model:bass treble adjustment has wider range. +/- 10remote is far better silver metal affair that works over a wide angle and range.

I bought this a few days ago and have been putting it through its paces. The unit is smaller than i thought and can wedge itself into tight corners. It is aluminum and the case acts as a heat-sink it can get quite warm even when turned off. The mains block is separate and substantial enough. There are various digital inputs and a standard phono analogue. The power output is quite good but i expected more. The unit needs some fairly sensitive speakers, but has a full bass and good treble. There is some harshness on vocals and complex music but otherwise ok. I listen mainly to classical music so my collection is either 320mp mp3 or flac files.

SMSL Q5 Pro HiFi Integrated Mini Digital Stereo Audio 45WPC Pure Digital Amplifier AMP USB Coaxial Optical AUX Input + Aluminium Remote Control + Subwoofer Bass Output + Power Supply Adapter Silver : This is an excellent and surprisingly powerful amp and really does the job that i need it to do.

As a desktop music amp i’m happy with the sa-50 plus. It has amazing sound quality and the results are most pleasing. Plus it is really comfortable with the remote.

It was even tinier then expected but does everything says it does. Gets a bit hot if played at high volume. I managed to connect it to my pc with a usb cable easily. Bass, treble & volume adjustments are all from the same knob which is very practical. Highly recommended for compact spaces. Subwoofer arriving today looking forward using amp connection facility. Plenty and clean volume at high levels.

Not intrusive and easy to use – very happy with the appearance and the sound. . Easy to set up and a lovely sound on my old bose speaker system.

I use the optical input to connect to my hdtv and the usb input to connect to my usb disk. Very worthwhile for anyone wanting a small sound system.

I really doubt i can order better dac/amp for that price. I really doubt i can order better dac/amp for that price. The sound is amazing and i haven’t experience any problems for the few months i have it now. The only think that is missing if they made that in to receiver some day so i can go from 2. I like the small form factor i really don’t understand way most of the receivers have to be so large. I’m using it for home theatre system and i have sub attached. I really will like some day to attach a center as well i hope by then they release a model that is small and do 5.

Its tiny but effective as a tv amp with sub woofer output too.

Just what i was looking for at a great price great little product.

Topping TP22 Amplifier : Great amp. Sounds good, decent build quality, small size.

I purchased it at a similar rate of 65. 95gbp from an ebay seller promoting it from united kingdom. I am using it with q acoustics q2020 purchased from amazon. The q2020’s are a bit of overkill for this amp. It is highly effective plenty of to push the q2020’s with authority but individuals wanting glass shattering levels of sound ought to glance in other places. It is distinct, it does not distort most likely mainly because tk2050 is rated at 50wx2 and the electric power supply of topping tp22 gives only a complete of 60w. I did not notice a track record hisss with this amp but i am not an specialist. For the price tag it is a incredibly wonderful, really well finished and incredibly very good amplifier.

Set myself the challenge of a new hifi separates for underneath £500 having invested 5times that on my past method and not possessing that form of money. Soon after shopping for the cd player and speakers (amazing mistral bow3) i was still left with £70. Noticed this topping amp which was £69, study some fantastic critiques and purchased it.There’s some fantastic information and some undesirable information. Great information is it appears better than my £2500 arcam process. Lousy news is it appears much better than my £2500 arcam procedure. I may perhaps just have been blessed and the marantz 5004 cd player , speakers and topping are built for every single other. It shows you you should not want to devote a fortune to get a wonderful sound method whichever the hifi magazines try to explain to you.

Topping TP22 Amplifier

  • T-Amp IC Tripath TK2050 Chip set (TC2000+TP2050)
  • Supports 2 way RCA input
  • High-end loudspeaker protection circuits, guarantee that your expensive speaker is absolutely safe
  • High efficiency output power stereo 30W or mono 40
  • An artfully executed audiophile-grade amplifier with top-notch components

It does choose a several several hours to sound its finest and was a minor vivid straight out of the. I have this tiny amp linked to a rega jupiter transport and io dac, playing as a result of a pair of outdated triangle zephyr speakers. It has blown me absent with the quality of seem, it is really very well crafted, switches and dials feel substantial good quality. The amp is really musical, the seem is 3 dimensional , bass is full and precise, vocals are crystal obvious. It does acquire a few hrs to seem its best and was a small brilliant straight out of the box but the brightness has long gone following a couple of hrs of use, i am rediscovering my whole cd assortment. I’m off to pay attention to some new music. You will not be let down purchasing just one of these amps.

This is an awesome little amp that packs a puch. This is an great minimal amp that packs a puch. Married up with some polk rc60’s ceiling speakers the audio is just ace. Excellent bass, mid and treble all spherical. If you want a first rate program, get this and some rc60’s.

I’ve been working with the topping tp22 considering the fact that jan 2011, it managed to replace a yamaha a-s700, very a strange minute, and my to start with taste of these t-amps. It will go loud, but way too loud and you will get a headache, so go uncomplicated on any t-amp. Inner construction of mine was reliable, came with a good 20v 3amp smps, and the amp scarcely will get warm – these could be powered off batteries with easeanyhow, it can be feb 2016 and the amp is however doing work fantastic with a chi-fi aune dac i received in 2010. It really is not that i cannot afford to pay for a extravagant amplifier, i simply just really don’t see the level when these really economical titchy giant slayers are about. If you are curious, certainly give them a opportunity. The blue quantity ring led is troublesome while.

Topping TP22 Amplifier : I have just attached this to my 1960/70-style tannberg speakers and they sound amazing, i can only say that i’m very pleased with choosing this product.

So considerably so superior with a good seem high quality. I purchased this device to power speakers in my bathroom. So far so fantastic with a excellent audio high-quality.

Sounds good, decent build quality, small size. . This is a great amp, paired with any decent set of bookshelf (or even larger) speakers. Excellent sound quality you would expect from any decent tripath amp. Volume dial and switches have nice high quality feel.

Excellent small amp perfect for linking with it products.

Good quality desktop amplifier. I bought the topping tp22 amp to replace an smsl sa-50 that had become faulty. The topping is not an amp for driving big speakers or for high volumes, but as an amplifier for driving bookshelf speakers at reasonable volumes it is excellent. It loses a mark for the earth voltage tingle it puts across the chassis – as many devices do these days – but connected to a usb dac removes that issue as the pc handles the earthing issue. But at least it comes with a plug that would pass a uk safety inspection – unlike some smsl gear i’ve bought from amazon. And i like that it has two inputs – meaning i can connect my dac/headphone amp and my usb audio interface (for music production) without having to disconnect anything.

This is an awesome little amp that packs a puch. This is an great minimal amp that packs a puch. Married up with some polk rc60’s ceiling speakers the audio is just ace. Excellent bass, mid and treble all spherical. If you want a first rate program, get this and some rc60’s.

I spend my functioning week overseas, in a extremely compact flat. But i failed to want to give up songs. So that i adopted this amplifier, with each other with a pair of loudspeakers cambridge audio s20, and an usb converter hrt audio streamer ii. New music will come from my laptop computer, decoded by jriver media center 18. Pretty, really good combination high quality is substantially greater than just one could assume by a so small cost.
