B&O PLAY by Bang & Olufsen Beoplay M5 Music System Multiroom Wireless Home Speaker – Natural : Good sound – if you can get it to work

I would give it 4. 5 stars if i could. Sounds great, looks even better and is very easy to use. We love this speaker and use it all the time. Its so easy to use on airplay and bluetooth. We have an audio system throughout our home but this gets used more then anything. The reason i have not given it 5 stars is because its expensive, and for that price i think there should be better sound options. Its very punchy, which is great for certain types of music, but when listening to classical for instance, you can change the audio settings on the source equipment but it still has too much base. Pros:looks stylish and classysounds very goodvery easy to usebest of all the wireless speakers i have usedcons:pricebit to punchy.

Given bang & olufsen’s reputation i did not expect to receive one of their products costing the equivalent of a southern rail season ticket and end up rating it as simply, ‘ok’. Sound = the sound quality is blissful. The bass is strong, i like it erring that way. So strong on reggae that at full volume the furniture will start migrating across the room. Likewise for big numbers it will fill a house – terrace dwellers beware. The experts at b&o also have that knack of producing clarity when you want music at low volume. There is no fuzziness or fudge in the sound. All of the foregoing is just as well because good luck if you want to change any of the settings.

Five star sound – four star frustration in setting up. Sometimes you have to forgive a lot in life – some things are worth it. This speaker is one of them. The sound quality would move you to tears, it is so rich, clear and velvety. It’s as if the singer is in the room with you. Listening to natalie merchant’s new tigerlily recordings on this is utterly spellbinding. The bass from this speaker is phenomenal – maybe a little too much at times, but it certainly fills the room. However connectivity issues would make you weep in utter frustration. These have been amply detailed in other reviews – all i can say is, they aren’t exaggerating. Bluetooth is a breeze – straight out of the box.

Received delivery of the m5 today (prime delivery fantastic as usual) i have numerous b&o products and as normal this product doesn’t disappoint, in fact it’s surpassed all expectation for such a compact device, multiroom works perfectly and the bass response is fantastic, actually sounds better than my beosound 1, but at nearly a third of the cost.

B&O PLAY by Bang & Olufsen Beoplay M5 Music System Multiroom Wireless Home Speaker – Natural : Plugged it in, installed the b&o app on iphone and it found the device, connected to my wifi and has given me zero issues at all. Sounds bassy in ‘freestanding’ mode but balanced in ‘corner’ mode. Definitely happy with this speaker.

M-Audio BX Subwoofer Premium Active 10 inch Studio Monitor Subwoofer Extension : Capacitor blew within 9 months, but covered by warranty. Unbeatable performance when working!

I bought this speaker second hand for 150 pounds off gum tree. It is very powerful and for me is brilliant. I am using it with my analogue synth electonic music studio and it sounds fantastic. Before i bought it i couldn’t hear the low bass frequencies. With this speaker my bass line sounds perfect.

Delivery time was one day early and after unpacking the product which was quite heavy got it all hooked up and wow, the bass was deep and heavy, slight hum when i turned the unit on but that’s expected. Ideal for anyone who has the m audio range.

M-Audio BX Subwoofer Premium Active 10 inch Studio Monitor Subwoofer Extension

A must have, and a great compliment to m-audio speakers. There were many options for active subwoofers out there, and i decided to go for the m-audio bx subwoofer which would compliment my bx5 d2’s and boy does this sub do a great job. I underestimated just how powerful this unit is. I set the crossover to 80hz which is the ideal spot for 5′ monitors after doing some research. I’d barely turned the unit up and already i could feel the floor shake. Be warned this is a very large subwoofer. For medium to small rooms you’re definitely going to want to keep the decibels low. Anyway this really does add those sweet lows to your music and gaming. I’m a casual listener and a huge bass head so this setup is great if that’s your thing. Games especially come to life, one example being able to feel the weight of the guns you fire when playing doom.

Great product but very, very powerful. Great product in the sense of build quality and sound hence the 5 stars but be warned this is so powerful i had to send it back, the house literally shook even at low settings.

Sorry neighbours but i listen to drum and bass, not drum. . Solid, nice response, can’t fault it for the money.

Capacitor blew within 9 months, but covered by warranty. Unbeatable performance when working. Broke within 9 months, but covered by warranty. Not the most ideal situation, but it got resolved and has been working perfectly since. Besides that, you won’t find better value for money in a subwoofer. A 10′ driver extending down to 20hz is impressive in itself. Achieving that at £250 is unbelievable. Seller was very friendly, helpful and co-operative during the repair phase. To avoid blowing your sub, i’d recommend not trying to drive this near to its limit at max gain, the components inside aren’t high-end studio quality and will overheat and burn out.

Kanto YU2 3 Inch 2-Way Powered Desktop Speakers – Matte Grey – Audioengine A2+ are better

I needn’t have worried as these are more than capable desktop speakers with good all round qualities. Was looking for something a bit bigger than the kanto yu2’s but saw them in a flash sale and took the chance. I needn’t have worried as these are more than capable desktop speakers with good all round qualities. Don’t be put off by their size as they pack a punch. Very happy with them sound wise and aesthetically pleasing. Great addition to a desktop set up in any colour.

I bought these as i preferred the idea of the matt white however having compared these with an existing pair of a2+ i have hooked up-to my tv, i was unimpressed with the audio of the yu2’s. I was also a little underwhelmed by the build quality which although still good, it is not perfect. 3 stars due to reasonable audio, a stylish look and a beautiful matt white finish.

Excellent design and sound for the money. The only minor problem is the position of the switch dial.

Great speakers, well made, good sound.

No problems, great speakers. Got these when they were £350. Good sound and very easy to connect up to my pc and projector, and they look the part too.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • DAC in these speakers don’t make them sound very nice. They sound somewhat natural but the base is
  • Audioengine A2+ are better
  • Brilliant Speakers, Shame About The Stands

Firstly, when i received these, i had a scratch on the front of my matte white speakers. Immediately i went to return them, only to find kanto had raised the price from £149. Great i thought, i’ll just have to keep them, not a good start though. I bought this to connect to my 2015 15′ rmbp via usb – to take advantage of the usb dac for improved audio. It also allows me to keep my headphones plugged in and toggle between outputs depending if i need to take a call – a very neat setup. I purchased these with the s2 stands to get the most out of them. I’d say the stands are essential. You do have to have them at 50% volume to start to benefit from the speakers. If you have them too low then they don’t sound anything special. Crank them up a little and wow, they really do a fantastic job, so clear and crisp.

Audiophile but the sound of this small speakers is fantastic: warm and with the right amount of bass. I am not an audiophile but the sound of this small speakers is fantastic: warm and with the right amount of bass. Moreover i love the style (bamboo). If you need a pair of speakers for you desktop kanto yu2 is the right choice.

Rock the room but for pc listening they are perfect. Sound quality is really good. They are small and will not rock the room but for pc listening they are perfect. Sound quality is really good. I added the sub6 (unfortunately not sold in europe, i bought it while on a trip in the usa) and it completes the set beautifully. The volume knob on the back is quite odd and it takes a while getting used to. On the front it would be better.

Having said that i’m going to consider a subwoofer in the future.

Brilliant speakers, shame about the stands. Really excellent small desktop speakers, they even rival the much bigger speakers from the old denon hifi that i’m replacing – which i wasn’t expecting. Only downside is i had to spend nearly 1/3rd of the cost of the speakers ordering the stands (kanto s2) from amazon usa. I don’t understand why the manufacturer is selling the speakers in the uk but not the stands?for anyone looking for a pair of small, great value (natural sounding) desktop speakers i would recommend these over the very similar audioengine a2’s (muddy sound, all bass/no clarity) and the bose companion 20’s (horrible boomy, over-exaggerated low end bass – okay if you like that). I have also tried the tibo plus mini’s which are a bit cheaper than these, less stylish but just as good in terms of sound. The only reason i didn’t go for them is that both pairs in richer sounds were faulty, but they’re definitely worth a look if you want to save 10 or 20 quid. Hope that helps, and thanks kanto – it’s great to have finally found a really decent pair of small desktop speakersp. They’re very directional so you do need the stands.

I was kind of looking for muma bear. I decided i would try these speakers again using a sabre 9018 usb dac (can’t recommend this dac enough) combined with hifime’s usb isolator to remove hum. Wow, these are like completely different speakers now. They sound way better in terms of base and richness, but still very natural. Which is what i wanted as i use these speakers for a desktop computer.

Dac in these speakers don’t make them sound very nice. They sound somewhat natural but the base is. Hmm the usb dac in these speakers don’t make them sound very nice. They sound somewhat natural but the base is non existent, and they are not particularly loud. I have some rourk r2’s and in comparison they sound way better but have a little too much base.

Having said that i’m going to consider a subwoofer in the future.

Here are the specifications for the Kanto YU2 3 Inch 2-Way Powered Desktop Speakers – Gloss Teal:

  • For extra bass, hook up a subwoofer via the SUB OUT port

Rock the room but for pc listening they are perfect. Sound quality is really good. They are small and will not rock the room but for pc listening they are perfect. Sound quality is really good. I added the sub6 (unfortunately not sold in europe, i bought it while on a trip in the usa) and it completes the set beautifully. The volume knob on the back is quite odd and it takes a while getting used to. On the front it would be better.

Great speakers, well made, good sound.

No problems, great speakers. Got these when they were £350. Good sound and very easy to connect up to my pc and projector, and they look the part too.

They’re very directional so you do need the stands.

wavemaster CUBE – 2 : fantastic speakers

Good but could be a lot better. . Well made with good quality controls. I bought these speakers to improve the sound from my tv speakers and used as such they are a disappointment. I’ve had to turn the bass right down and increase the treble almost to the maximum to get speech that is clear. The speakers are particularly bad when a voice is heard against a low background sound as in a football commentary, speech becomes muddled and difficult to make out. I can’t help but think that the speakers are set up for a heavy bass presence with not enough thought given to voice frequencies. If used with a pc you can make use of the built in graphic equalizer of windows and correct this deficiency, but with a tv this is not possible. However i intend to buy a separate graphic equalizer and feed the speakers through the external equaliser. I would rate the speakers as having good potential but the set up from the factory needs looked at again, even with the adjustments available through the bass and treble controls the bias is too much towards the low bass frequencies.

Very good quality general purpose desktop speakers.

  • Stereo bookshelf speaker system with Bluetooth streaming function for connecting to any kind of audio source (e.g. smartphone, TV, tablet, etc.)
  • Integrated amplifier with total 50 Watt RMS output power (including bass and treble control), can be connected to 3 audio sources simultaneously
  • Bluetooth-Streaming: the integrated Bluetooth module offer high quality audio streaming based on A2DP standard (compatible to Bluetooth 2.1)
  • Power saving eco-standby-function (less then 0,5 Watt during standby) and dedicated line-in for mobile audio sources such as smartphones and tablets
  • Connection: Bluetooth, 3,5 mm mini stereo plug or cinch. Works with TV, iPod/iPad, Mac/PC/Notebook or any other stereo source

I could not ask for anything better as all my needs are fulfilled. I would say they are just as good or possibly even better than the high range bluetooth speakers you can buy for hundreds of pounds. I would definitley reccomend these to anyone looking for a cheap but high-quality alternative to expensive brands.

The best bookshelf speakers i have owned (have owned a few including bose) for the price number 1. Wow, surpassed all my expectations, so many of the reviews say the same thing, so just to repeat, they sound great, have plenty of oomph and yet delicate clarity and separation of the sound. At this price i really dont think they can be beaten, so buy them, you will be so glad you did.

Excellent piece of hardware.

Great sound quality and fantastic value. I wanted some amplified speakers to use in my ‘home office’ which would do justice to my music collection while i was working from home. I spent a considerable time reading reviews of potential speakers to pair with my home computer and even auditioned some in our local currys / pc world. I was considering the bose companion 2’s and creative gigaworks 20’s as i did not want to have a large subwoofer lurking under my desk. The bose and creative speakers sounded okay but did not have much depth to them – but still really good for such small speakers. I then came across reviews of these wavemaster cube mini speakers on a couple of websites and was impressed with the specification and customer reviews. I decided to take a risk and buy the wavemaster speakers based purely on the reviews, and as they were such good value, i was ‘only’ risking £80 in any case – not £300. This has turned out to be one of my best decisions ever and i still feel like it was a bit of a gamble, which really paid off in this instance. These are roughly twice as wide (150mm) as any of the previous speakers mentioned and just a little bit taller and deeper than both of them, but the power and depth of sound is in a totally different league. I don’t have to turn the volume much over 1/3 of the power available to have my music at a comfortable volume, so they have plenty of capacity for other applications such as boosting the sound quality and quantity from your tv etc in a larger room.

Pretty good high and low notes. Exceptional value for money, pretty good high and low notes. Ideally suited for me as the sound is quite directional so i can listen to it at a reasonable volume without having to entertain the entire neighbourhood.

Its sound quality is perfect in my eyes. Its sound quality is perfect in my eyes. Though every once in a while it decides to disconnect or i cant connect to it and i have to turn it on and off at the plug. Im unsure of why this is but it is only a minor nuisance. I wouldn’t let it put you off buying.

I bought these speakers for me and my wife’s sanctuary (bedroom) and boy they don’t disappoint, the bass is crisp while it holds the mid range and low range well with the clarity of sound being very clear. I have the 50 watt version and one happy wife who can now hoover the upstairs of the house and listen to her tunes without straining her ears. So if you were thinking of buying these don’t hesitate you won’t regret it.

Excellent quality desk/shelf speakers. I was very surprised just how good these little beauties are and not as expensive as more well known brands like bose either which makes you think that’s because they don’t sound as good. Well i can confidently say that is not the case here. I was originally just looking for some new pc speakers to sit on my desk in my home office. I wanted them to be bluetooth so i could stream spotify from my phone through them but also have the ability to plug into my pc’s audio out. You can actually connect 3 different inputs into them if you wish, the third being stereo rca. After connecting them up and trying them out i would actually say you could use them as living room speakers. The adjustable volume, treble, bass and crisp quality is amazing for such cheaply priced, small speakers.

Wavemaster cube – 2. 0 bluetooth bookshelf speaker system (50 watt). After seeing a review on utube of wavemaster mini cube:[. (smaller version) i decided to go for the larger more powerful option, producing an output of 50w. After setting these speakers up, i must admit i’m very pleased with the not only the quality of sound, but the connectivity is unsurpassed. I love my music and for an active pair of speakers the dynamic range of tonal quality that these speakers produce is outstanding, i would recommend these to anybody looking for overall quality of build and sound. 0 bluetooth bookshelf speaker system (50 watt) for smartphones, tablets tv, mp3 / uk version (66325). ]

Excellent value and quality for money. I was looking for a simple blutooth speakers for use in my bedroom. I was given these as a gift and my my am i pleasently surprised. The flexibility of inputs, the sound quality and the build quality are astounding. Songs items don’t come close to this and they’re much cheaper. I’ve been streaming hi resolution flac at 24/96 to these and they really do sound great. Every connection you need is in the box. I’m very pleased and would recommend to anyone.

Was in the market for a half-decent set of speakers for my workstation. I’d already returned a pair of bose companion 2s (little pc speakers with no tone control for £90) because they were frankly awful, and was about to order the slightly more expensive harmon kardon soundsticks (which i’d heard before but didn’t really like the look of), then decided to do a bit more research. After a while i found these, read the rave reviews and decided to take the chance. Best decision i’ve made in a long time. These are in a completely different league to both the bose and harmon kardons; and every other sub-£100 powered speaker set i have ever heard. The cubes are basically fairly decent hi-fi bookshelf speakers, but with built-in amplifier, bass and treble controls, two wired inputs and bluetooth. I went for the minis as they have to sit on my desk, but they’re still pretty chunky compared to pc speakers and easily loud enough to fill a small room. And there’s no need for subwoofer.

Libratone Zipp Copenhagen Edition tooth Wireless Speaker – Raspberry : Great speaker – shame about the beep!

a compact, portable and highly impressive speaker. Really easy to setup – download the official app to setup the speaker on your home wi-fi network, or just connect via bluetooth. (or direct cable connection into the aux input) the benefit with connecting to your wi-fi is that anyone else on the network can easily connect to it. The app also has some nice eq presets to suit your environment, e. The outdoor preset to get a more punchy response. Overall very impressed with the sound quality and it certainly goes loud enough to use as a main speaker for a decent sized party, even if you’re out in the garden.

I am struggling to express in words how this product makes me feel. I like to show them off to my friends and family. Check this out, look at what it can do. I would be embarrassed to say ‘i spent £200 odd on this’. It’s not that this is a bad speaker. The sound quality and loudness are fairly decent. It’s just that this feels so over-engineered. You could always simply connect to it with bluetooth or using a 3. 5mm audio cableare able to control. Libratone have made a special app though, through which you can control the speaker, things such as volume.

A portable speaker that packs a punch with bass and volume. The libratone zipp is an amazing sounding portable speaker. It’s got plenty of bass for a reasonably small speaker but also gives vivid and clear natural sounds at higher frequencies, especially voices. It’s capable of delivering a fair level of volume too, and achieves that without any noticeable distortion. Battery life between charges is also excellent. Connection via bluetooth is very simple and i’ve had no problems at all from a number of devices (tablets, kindle fire, laptop pc). Connecting via wi-fi gives much better range around the house than the bluetooth link, but it’s less straightforward and i had to use internet-found instructions to get it done. The instruction booklet that comes with the speaker has some minimal instructions for bluetooth etc (which don’t need to be that detailed as it’s so easy) but virtually nothing on wi-fi. One tiny issue is that the speaker seems to cut out occasionally if near anything with a strong electrical or magnetic field (guitar amps etc) as i guess they activate the switch to pause tracks playing, so occasionally you need to reposition away from problem areas. Overall: a high performing and nice looking portable speaker that packs a punch with bass and volume but without lowering tone quality.

Fantastic sound quality at all frequencies. What fantastic sound quality from this speaker. The speaker only took minutes to set up and we were listening to the radio within 15 minutes of unpacking the speaker from the box. We have this located in the kitchen to listen to the radio and tunes from our iphones/ ipad. The sound quality is really superb and the libratone gives the options of different sound patterns depending on the music genre/ personal preference/ location of speaker. We have listened to a variety of music genres and they all sound perfect. The frequencies are split so that the ear can easily decipher the various sounds in the composition to maximise the musical effect. As music lovers this really makes a difference. We have tried the speaker with spotify, itunes and the libratone app and it is so easy to use. I do think that this speaker is overpriced though – hence the loss of one star.

The sound clarity is first class, controls simple and easy to use. All the advertised features worked first time, great product bit a bit pricey.

Not perfect, but still very special. . First off, this looks great. And as others have said, it comes packaged stylishly also. It really does feel like an event to open, and it is a real pleasure to use, with lovely tactility and some fantastic on-off sounds. Compared to similarly priced speakers from bose or sony, this is just in a different class. I find myself sometimes judging its sonic performance harshly because it feels like it ought to cost 2-3 times as much. Even saying which, it does have a really nice sound. The treble and midrange are particularly sweet, and encourage listening at quite modest volumes for the sheer musicality of the experience, rather than at screaming rock levels. It does trip up a bit with particularly dense, bass heavy, mixes, sometimes becoming muddy and confused, and losing depth. This seems to be independent of volume, and appears to be a feature of the design, rather than limitation of the power or amplification.

The sound quality is absolutely stunning, room filling, and crystal clear even at high volumes. . The first thing you notice about the libratone zipp mini copenhagen edition speaker is the weight; this is a high quality, solidly built product. Taking the top off of the cylindrical box reveals the circular instruction booklet. Removing that uncovers the charger, the charging cable and the neat cable holder, all sitting in a polystyrene holder, which is also the top packing for the speaker. This fits so tightly into the box, that it took some time, and a screwdriver to extract it so the speaker can be removed. The speaker has a wool cover that zips onto the base. One cover is provided, but six colours are available. Before use, the speaker must be charged. The charger plug has two adapters, 2-pin or standard uk 3-pin; attach the appropriate adapter, plug in, attach the lead into the socket at the base of the speaker and switch on. The led blinks slowly and then stays on solidly when the speaker is fully charged.

this beastie of a speaker certainly chucks out some quality sound but there’s so much more to tell you about it than that. I love the portability, with an 8 hour battery life it will be joining me on holiday, on my travels, around various rooms in the house and anywhere i need to keep my tunes. You can save 5 internet radio stations using an app which can then be selected with a touch of the control panel on the top, which also offers volume control, track skip and stereo pairing of another libratone speaker. I recorded a quick video comparing this to a sonos play3. My previous favorite speaker. The sonos is still a great speaker and after numerous tests i might even say has the better bass notes but when you add together all the other benefits of the zipp mini there’s no competition. . The zipp mini supports bluetooth streaming meaning i can play audio from any device playing any source. I am a big youtube fan and it has always frustrated me that i couldn’t play the sound through sonos. :d not to mention that the zipp can be battery powered, so it can come into the shower room or into the garden easier than running extension cables for the sonos. Beautiful network and bluetooth speaker. . This is a beautifully presented and packaged product. This beauty and careful consideration for materials continues to the speaker itself. The speaker comes within an outer, double-fluted, brown cardboard box with foam packing top and bottom. Inside is a black and white tube, made from heavy duty box board, contains the speaker. Opening the box and tube is an exciting experience. The way you lift out the instructions, power pack layer and then the speaker have all been carefully considered and makes the opening of it reinforce that you have a high quality product. Inside the lid you are greeted by a round manual which matches the diameter of the tube. The manual is in five languages with simple icon-based instructions.

It is the most i have ever spent on a treat for myself but it is worth every penny. It is so elegant, unique and just generally beautiful to look at and use. It is basically a small surround sound speaker. Wherever i am in my flat i can still hear my music perfectly. The sound is just out of this world, i have honestly never heard anything like it. I am not very technical and don’t understand all the numbers on the box (i. 3” neodynium woofer/ 60 watt total power, across 2 dsp enhanced amplifier channels/ 19v 1.

Ideal for technophobes to play amazon ‘my music’ from the desktop pc that doesn’t have bluetooth facilities. The libratone zipp copenhagen edition bluetooth wireless speaker produces an amazingly good quality, 360 degree sound. It is portable so one is able to experience great quality sound whatever room one is in at home. I shan’t go into the specs of this amazing speaker as other far more knowledgeable reviewers have already done so; my review might possibly be of use to those (like me ) of an older generation who appreciate good sound quality but do not use their mobile phone very often and do not have bluetooth facilities on their desktop pc. I purchased from amazon the’ whitelabel bluetooth 4. 0 usb dongle adapter for pc with ivt bluesoliel, bluetooth transmitter and receiver for windows 10 / 8. 1 / 8 / 7 / vista – plug and play on win 7 and above’ for £7. 99 so now i can play my lists of music i have downloaded and stored with amazon on my pc. The ‘plug-in-and-play’ process is so simple that even i was able to do it; so whether ‘zippy’ – as i have christened him – is sitting on the island in the kitchen or perched on the conservatory windowsill i can enjoy my favourite music, sounding at its best. Apart from that, zippy looks great and is the most innovative product i’ve used for a long, long time.

wavemaster CUBE MINI – 2 – pretty good high and low notes

Very good quality, nice bass. Also they look fantastic – stylishly simple. However (just a small thing), the wire that joins the two speakers together isn’t held in very sturdily by the clips. I don’t know if all speakers are like this to make it easier to rearrange various speakers in a system or not. It doesn’t affect the sound quality anyway. Also, be cautious when using with a record player (mine is pro-ject essentials ii) as the in-built amp isn’t quite as powerful as desired, so it only goes to about 1/3 the volume as playing through your phone.

Technically a very good speaker for a brilliant price. I chose these speakers because i wanted some new, relatively cheap, bluetooth speakers. These have exceeded my expectations as being an underdog cheaper bluetooth speaker. The sound quality on these are fantastic, even on the loudest volume, which is quite loud, leaves a sharp crisp top end and warm deep powerful bottom. This is helped by the adjusters at the back for the desired amount of treble and bass. And these speakers are brilliant for all round usage. With the accessibility of bluetooth and an auxiliary these can be used in a variety of ways. The real stand out aspect of these is the value of money, when i was buying a new set of speakers i was thinking that i would have to spend about £200-£300 but these show that you dont need to pay that amount of money for good quality set of bluetooth speakers. Anyone who is looking for a good set of speakers for an amazing price i recommend these.

Great quality budget speakers. . These speakers are a real find, they are very well made and feel really nice quality items, they sound really nice, way better than their price would have you believe, if you buy these you will not be disappointed. Perfect for better tv sound or computers etc.

Excellent quality, highly recommend.

Excellent piece of hardware.

I could not ask for anything better as all my needs are fulfilled. I would say they are just as good or possibly even better than the high range bluetooth speakers you can buy for hundreds of pounds. I would definitley reccomend these to anyone looking for a cheap but high-quality alternative to expensive brands.

Bought these to replace my creative t40s which had developed a fault. These are a definite improvement over the t40s and are plenty loud enough connected to my pc in my bedroom. Only downside is that there’s no headphone jack on them.
