Do take the advice to add the sub woofer though as this improves quality of sound depth. Only minor issues are cd1 has had a tendency to skip some days. Screen hard to read and can’t use one function while preparing another. Nice look and good vinyl playback levels.

Great present for my son for xmas.

Have transferred vinyl, cassette and cd to new cd using the system. The instructions should be read thoroughly before starting but once mastered reasonably simple to undertake transfers. Quality acceptable bearing in mind age of some of the lp’s. Neat system and well put together. Take care with record deck arm. Warned about this in instruction manual as used to stop/start play. Otherwise no problems to date.

Denon CEOL Piccolo Network Music Receiver – The sound is good until you go loud the the speakers sound a

They may not actually make them like they used too. . I was very happy with this system, up until i plugged in my 15 year old sony system and heard the difference in sound quality. It’s a great bit of tech, but sound wise it’s not a patch on my old system.

They are delighted with the simplicity of operation through the app and. I’ve recently installed this for friends of mine. They are delighted with the simplicity of operation through the app and the remote control. It is a flexible unit since it supports air play, spotify (although the interface for this is not as good as on other devices), streaming radio (of which the bbc is the most annoyingly inconsistent provider). Then you have inputs for rca phono and digital (optical). Outputs support a single pair of speakers, headphones and a sub-woofer (not tested). Connection to the internet can be wired (i recommend this) or wireless. Sound quality through modest speakers in a small room is clear deep and lively. Playing the device through large speakers in a large lounge gives an equally pleasurable experience.

Great little music streaming unit. . Setup was easy and the unit is nice and compact ( white looks great too compared to the black slabs out there ). Paired with a couple of ceiling speakers ( cambridge audio 155 ) and sounds very good. So far tried internet radio, bluetooth and airdrop/airplay streaming which all work well. As others have mentioned you should turn off ‘speaker optimization’ if you are not using the denon speakers. Also run the firmware updates to ensure that early release bugs are resolved.

Good value but has problems. Good for the money but the available android phone app is slow and ‘buggy’ also won’t receive certain radio station’s i presume due to location restrictions eg can’t get 5live sports extra i presume it’s coming via vtuner so check you can get the stations you want before you buy.

The sound is good until you go loud the the speakers sound a. Well packaged and arrived the next day. With just a brief set up guide the main one on line to download it was difficult to play music from my ipod. The sound is good until you go loud the the speakers sound a bit bass less. All in all i am pleased an upgrade on speakers would make it a great system plus a full manual.

Great device, listen to it all the time. After the initial fun of doing a firmware update, i have found that this device works like a charm, link it with spotify and some good speakers and the world of music is literally at your fingertips. I have spent hours and hours listening to this. I will say that you really do need to have it linked up to some form of tablet or smart phone to get the best out of it as using the remote is a little clunky.

I have had this bit of kit for a month now, and really like it. I’m quite techy, so the ability to combine denon h-fi quality with a dlna music server was always my goal, the biggest bonus was though the ability to hook it up to speakers of my own choice, and the option to have a sub also if required. Setup took seconds and with a network reservation set it has been totally stable on my home network. I have it connected to a set of q accustics 2020i bookshelf speakers and a 60w rms active sub woofer, with a bit of crossover fine tuning on the sub the results a very good. The 2020i speakers seem a good match and the finest details are reproduced with ease, i used 42 strand speaker cable and am very happy with the results. I had read that the unit comes with an eq bias set for the denon speakers recommended for it, and so the first thing i did was switch this setting off. It sometimes does take slightly longer than normal to load up a track when working its way through long playlists, but this is minor, and prob more to do with network traffic and less to do with the denon dra n4. I don’t and won’t ever use it over wi-fi as this option / bandwidth is very crowded these days, ethernet cable only for me.

This is a great product and has fitted into my macos airplay enabled music network seamlessly. Its sound quality and ‘fairly’ ease of use has met all i had expected from it. So, why 4 instead of 5 stars?.This is simply because of the firmware update process. The instructions in the manual about how to achieve this were beyond understanding, it was only after i disregarded all i had read and just did it that i discovered it was, actually, a simple process and one i could have achieved quite easily on day one. Simplify your manual denon, please.

I’ve had one of these for six months now, took me ages to make a decision what to buy, so i felt it would be useful to others to let you know how it’s going. I wanted sounds in the kitchen, all our music comes from either the radio or apple music, sold all my cds ages ago and binned the old tapes even longer ago. We wanted something discreet, good looking, easy to use, and that fitted in with the kitchen. Physically its a small compact unit, heavy and feels well made, and we also got the matching denon speakers (not from amazon i should say). It needs to be connected to your home network and the internet, we initially had reliability issues with the wifi which does seem to be a denon issue as all the multitude of other wireless devices we use have been fine. After some messing about i bought a cheap tplink power-line pair from amazon and connected the denon with wired ethernet, it has been rock solid since then. It did a lot of software upgrades on first powering up, and occasionally since then as new ones are released. In use we have really grown to love it, sound quality is excellent, and it can be really loud without any distortion in our reasonably large kitchen. We have it positioned up on the top of the fridge, out of the way which gives good sound.

Mini hifi grade internet radio receiver. Wanted to get something which was nice and compact for a secondary hi-fi set-up. I wanted something better looking, better sounding and simpler to use than an existing blue tooth speaker and android tablet combination. The denon n4 looked a good option for the money. I did not need cd as i have a media server which the denon could play music from. Internet radio provides access to all stations that are on fm or dab. It will also play from usb, blue tooth or a line level analogue feed i. The 40 watts rms per channel is plenty.

Brilliant i had the first generation this is just so much better.

For the money this is an outstanding bit of equipment. Easy to set up, versatile, and works well enough with most sources. Any gaps (currently it seems to have difficulty with the file system when streaming from a usb source) can be bridged using the denon app or airplay. Sound is really good for the money, but note that if you’re using different speakers you have to change a default setting that optimises the output for the dedicated denon speakers. Without doing that the sound is really quite disappointing and totally lacking in presence. You really have to go and look for the setting too, so if you don’t happen to chance across it (who reads a manual cover to cover?) i can understand why some people might find the sound quality poor. Easy to fix though, mine sounds great now.

So pleased with this denon i’ve bought two. All in all wonderful value for money.

Panasonic SC-AKX200E-K 400 W Wireless Audio Streaming Speaker – – Great little system

What a fantastic hi fi the blue tooth paired with my ipad no bother ,great equalizer plenty of choice ,radio clear sound ,played my turntable on it o bliss great sound just love it.

Excellent comes next day and is a very good system.

Bought 2nd hand, was as good as new from amazon next day delivery. This is one very loud piece off equipment the clarity off the sound is also spot on, im very happy with this so it gets 5 stars, in regards to the lights and internal memory on the other version compared to this dose not bother me at all as it has 2 usb slots for memory and its 40 quid cheaper an the bluetooth also works fine with mine and my partners phones and ipad. Here are the specifications for the Panasonic SC-AKX200E-K 400 W Wireless Audio Streaming Speaker –:

  • Enter your model number
    to make sure this fits.
  • Powerful and clear sound, large 16 cm woofer with hard press corrugation
  • Max Juke box and request songs using Max Juke app
  • Double USB (record and play)
  • 13 different pre-set equalisers for different music genres

Great system but be warned you really do need some space for it. The reason for 4 stars is because unlike the 600w version this one doesn’t light up around the dials, the parts are there but panasonic just hasn’t bothered to put led’s behind it which i find really frustrating, makes the system look a lot more bland and unappealing.

Excellent system for parties and general loud listening. I’m a live sound and studio engineer so i specialise in live audio and other areas of audio. Let me tell you this system is loud and filled with powerful deep bottom end. Other people are complaining that these sound bad, but to be honest it sounds like they don’t understand how eq works and how to blend all the frequencies together to make one whole sound. Just spend a few minutes fine tuning the eq on the system and these will sound just as good as any professional expensive set up. For large house parties these are perfect as well. I couldn’t recommend this system more.

A lot of people here are complaining about bass. Yep, its there and you cant do much to keep it from overwhelming mid frequencies. Bought it for the bedroom as speakers for tv and bluetooth player for mobile/tablet but for the time being have it set up in living room as im avaiting my jamo s626 speakers for my home cinema set up. It is loud and not much else to be honest. Im fairly sure this kit would make any teenager happy with that bass (not very deep mind you but a lot of it) and one thing which does my head is that remote control is really unintuitive to operate (setting own eq means you have to check manual instruction) and speakers have really short cables so i would suggest to buy some extra cable unless you plan to keep speakers together with the unit in one place. Not great but not that bad either to tell the truth.

Bose WAVE Music System Home Audio System : Best Audio Sound I have heard

Simply the best best bedside sytem you can ever buy. Simply the best best bedside sytem you can ever buy,not only this but you also can connect it to tv or any other media player.

Excellent musichavent found anything more life life. Let me start by saying this music system is not for everyones choice. Choose the music system based on the music you like. I love classical and realism of the life like instruments (like in jazz). So i took my music with me while testing out various systems available. After 3 months of testing on all the available speakers and sound systems (from the cheapest to ones that cost 20x the cost of bose wave). I found nothing that could produce more life like realism and spaciousness of instruments other than the wave music systems of bose(not even the other bose systems using other technology). The other speakers and systems had punchier base or better treble but could not produce the spaciousness and realism that the wave could. If you like rock or pop or want a home theatre system or like listening to synthethic instruments. I don’t think you will like this as much as there are better systems that produce base or treble better(althought the wave does quite a good job).

I cannot rate this home audio system highly enough. It maybe small and compact but the sound is brilliant. It somes with an example cd, take the time to sit down and listen to it – even at the volume level it says – and you will be amazed. There are no extra speakers, its all built in and the ariel for the radio is in the power cord so no cables or wires on view.

Ok, i’ve always thought bose were over-priced & apple-like in their monoply dealings, but buying this one just changed my mindset completely. Just how can you get such bass & brilliance out of this sized machine?. My whole life has been music, this let’s me live it to the max.

Small it maybe but this system is excellent add the multi cd changer and you have a excellent system plays mp3 as well hours of ex music sound is superb build quialty is excellent buy one i did.

Bose WAVE Music System Home Audio System : Great music system – when it works. I purchased this bose wave system to replace my ageing bose radio / with a separate cd player, plugged into auxiliary. I’m familiar with bose’s high quality sound. When i unpackaged the used bose wave music system, my first thoughts were that it looked to be in the “very good condition” described by the seller. In fact, when i put on my first cd, my favourable impressions were reinforced. Good base, crystal clear sound, and a wide dynamic range, with a powerful volume that belies the unit’s compact size. Then 10-15 minutes into the cd, it stopped playing, and restarting, or skipping tracks, had no effect. I referred to bose’s own troubleshooting website for advice, and acted on it. The cd reader seems to have failed. It refused to play every subsequent cd i loaded. I emailed the seller who, to be fair, was quick to reply, and very apologetic. The seller had no problem with me arranging to return the music system, which i did the next day. On the third day, amazon informed me that my refund was on its way.

It’s still working fine & is still confounding people who listen to it but can’t believe the sound isn’t being reinforced by a hidden bass woofer somewherefor more years than i care to admit, i was the archetypal british hi-fi nut. If it didn’t need a mortgage to pay for it, & wouldn’t fit into the room without having to kick granny out, then it wasn’t proper hi-fi. Well, that was fine until i downsized my house & needed to pacify the new neighbours with more ‘realistic’ listening levels. So, out went the snobby (expensive) hi-fi & in came the bose. Now i have to admit, it isn’t going to please everyone: i could criticise the bass for being a bit ‘plummy’, or the top registers for being strident, but that just misses the whole point of this system. It is designed to produce pleasing sounds from a small box that is unobtrusive (to say the least). Bose use what they call a waveguide to produce the bass: this is basically a tunnel that winds its way around the inside of the small case. It gives the bass frequencies the length they need to be realistic, & does a reasonable job, too.

Brilliant – small on the outside – massive on sound. . For anyone who’s not heard the bose wave music system and doesn’t believe all the hype in the glossy full page adverts of such publications as the radio times and innumerable colour supplements i suggest they hear one and then they will become believers. I wasn’t sure , four years ago, when i spent £500 on what was essentially a small clock-radio, when it arrived i was a bit dubious when i saw the size of the unit but when i plugged it in and tried their demonstration cd i was blown away, the depth of sound from full bass to sparkling treble was truly astounding and the output is enough for any normal room up to very loud listening levels what’s more it doesn’t seem to distort at all when on very loudly. After four years use, on the radio and using cd (it’ll play most formats including mp3s) i still wonder at how such a full sound can emanate from such a small unit. If you only have one music maker in your house you won’t be disappointed with it at all, it will surprise all who hear it from novices to hi-fi buffs alike. (and the fm reception is perfect). It may seem expensive but it’s worth it especially when you compare it to conventional systems that can’t match the audio performance and are much bulkier and inconvenient to place in a room environment.

The seller had no problem with me arranging to return the music system, which i did the next day. On the third day, amazon informed me that my refund was on its way.

Best audio sound i have heard. I have had the bose wave for about 18 months. Set-up; piece of cakesound: i reckon this is the sound of the godsease of use; a 5 year old could do itvalue for money; quality costsverdict; years of audio pleasure’nuff said.

Yamaha MusicCast CRXN470D Compact Audio System – App brilliant, Amp a bit disappointing.

Very enjoyable compact system. Got this to replace an aging but quite expensive cd player. It sounds brilliant and the radio and streaming are great too. Has prompted me to rediscover my music collection (now mostly cds stored lossless on a networked computer). And the airplay is very good too, as we often end up quickly putting something on from a streaming app on one of our phones). I have the cheaper of the two matched yamaha amps and it is paired with neat iota speakers.

Neat compact and versatile unit. . This is a very versatile and compact piece of kit which i have enjoyed using. I have used cd, dab, network music, bluetooth, airplay and internet radio. All of it works pretty easily. I’d only mark it down for a relative lack of connections, it would be great if it had an optical input so it could run output from a tv or dvd player etc. The remote is not particularly responsive but i prefer the music cast app on my phone or tablet. I’ve just got a new pair of q acoustics speakers and also use a yamaha subwoofer and i am pleased with the sound. Don’t expect massive impact from the sound, it’s only 22w per channel and isn’t exactly pure audiophile equipment but overall i am really enjoying the unit which has allowed me easy access to all my music and other sources.

Versatile with a quality sound. This yamaha musiccast mcrn470d network hi-fi system offers lots of options in terms of musical input and output. For the more traditional you choose from playing cds, fm/dab radio plus internet radio, spotify, auxiliary input from an existing source like a tv, however, the crx-n470d can also play files from a pc or nas or mobile device including an usb stick (most file types are supported), plus, you can connect a phone or tablet using bluetooth. In addition, the n470d can transmit via bluetooth to powered speakers etc. The unit uses yamaha’s musiccast app (available for android and ios) to deliver multi room functionality and there’s a good range of add-on speaker options. The first decision you have to make is whether you buy the crx-n470d packaged with yamaha’s ns-bp150 speakers or choose your own speakers although they’ll need to be reasonably efficient as the rated output is around 22w per channel. Once you’ve opened the box you’ll find the n470d is a well finished device with a minimalist metal control panel and remote (batteries are supplied). Physically both the unit and speakers exude quality in their build. After you’ve installed the app on a mobile device you can connect the unit to the internet and i suggest the first thing is to check for a firmware upgrade. I found setting up the media server function etc.

Reviews from purchasers :

Excellent sound with good speakers and very versatile and flexible. . This is an excellent system; it works very well with my kef stand mount speakers in the dining room. The sound quality is first class with fm radio, cd and music files (wav and flac). It was easy to set up, even though the quick manual was virtually useless. I set up the music cast app first on my android ‘phone. From then on everything was easy. By the time i found the full manual on the web i was up and running. The only problem was windows media player (wmp) on my pc – i had to fiddle around with the parameters in the ‘custom navigation pane’ and tick the ‘folders’ box before everything started working. I haven’t figured out how this fix worked. The cd player works fine but i rarely use a cd these days since all of my music is now on a music file on my pc in wav or flac format and mp3.

With all the connectivity options that can be. With all the connectivity options that can be asked for today and impeccable sound quality. I have bought yamaha and denon microcomponents. The quality of yamaha has made me fall in love with it over the rest. Very agree with the product.

Compact in size but big in capability. . Excellent, now with the additional bluetooth speakers we’ve music from all of our audio equipment through out the house.

I am very impressed with this yamaha music system, its the business, does it all, just what i have been looking for in a quality audio system. It will stream from my nas, streams on line, musiccast, cd player, usb and aux input, wifi and ethernet. Got the yst-fsw050 subwoofer to go with it, the whole system sounds great and it’s easy to use, i am very happy with it.

With ma bronze 2 speakers it is a very good system, lovely sound with the right amount of. Matched with ma bronze 2 speakers it is a very good system, lovely sound with the right amount of bass, the music cast app is good, had it 2 months and no probs at all.

Steepletone SMC386r BT – 8 in 1 Music System NEW Model with Bluetooth* – 3 Speed Record Turntable – CD Player – FM & MW Radio – Playback & Encode RECORDING to USB Stick / SD Memory Card – TWIN Cassette Player & RECORDER – Retro Nostalgic Music Centre System (*Plays music to the music centre large speakers from a Mobile Phone, iPhone, iPod, MP3 player, Computer etc) – (Standard, Silver / Black) : It does everything it said it would. Speakers are only fair, using my old speakers.

Product back-up first rate – read on. . Bought this 06dec16 especially to listen to ancient well-loved vinyls. Initially was pleased – use through the year has been daily, primarily cd function and radio. Sound quality acceptable for price. However today wanted to air some christmas lp’s only to find the blue light didn’t come on when ‘phono’ selected. Posted negative review and then found the paperwork, phoned the national number and had a really helpful technician who solved the problem – a press button needed to be released. So great back-up and one very happy listener. Faith in product completely restored.

No equaliser but for the price – awesome bit of kit.

Quick delivery and as described. I am delighted with the system.

Finally we have taken this out of its box and set it up – been nearly a year but no where to put it before. The sound is fantastic and we have tried out each of the three functions we bought it for. Cds lovely and clear; cassettes the same and it is so good to be able to hear our old records again, a bit old and scratchy in places but with some being really ancient it is a miracle they still play and so well, some are 78rpm and this is the first time we have had all three speeds very, very, happy with every function.

Am extremely pleased with this purchase. Am extremely pleased with this purchase. Does exactly what i hoped for. Received as and when stated so good experience all round.

Volume not great but ideal for home use. Smaller and neater than our previous music centre. Still able to use our cassettes and vinyl records along with cds and radio,. Volume not great but ideal for home use.

Speakers could have more bass but decent sound for a small or medium lounge.

Sony CMT-X5CDBW Hi-Fi/CD System 40W O/P – Design, user expirience, sound and quality are well

Just received this unit after highly praised recommendations. Sturdy build, and feels solid, not `plasticy` (although the case is obviously). Great sound, including wide stereo and eq. Setup is simple with comprehensive instructions. Bluetooth connection is simple, and although it says its optimised for apple stuff like iphone and tablets, its connects faultlessly to android devices as well, without problems,at least for me. Have successfully connected a hudl 1 via bluetooth using `spotify` music download system, and a andoid smartphone, and the reprduction is great. Music already on the hudl/smartphone also plays back without any `jitter`. Should be possible to connect my laptop to it too, trying that next. If you do the same, make sure your device is `discoverable` by all bluetooth enabled devices, otherwise the x5 will not link up at all. Its a bit pricey, but good value for money.

Poor dab ; good cd player ; remote slow. . Very impressed with the build quality. No dab reception despite my cheap dab radio picking up lots of stations from the same positions in my house. Does it need a retractable telescopic aerial like my cheap radio ?.Come on sony, i can’t believe you are selling this product. Cd sound was tremendous for such a small piece of kit. Worth buying for cd only if you can buy it cheaply enough but that is not on, is it sony ?i am a sony buff.

Good size for on the kitchen worksurface. . Plain looking (didn’t want anything too fancy / gimicky). Fm radio – goodusb port – goodcd player – gooddab radio – works at timesbluetooth – goodsimple to use. . Remote control has to be directed / aiming at the radio, or else it doesn’t work. Here are the specifications for the Sony CMT-X5CDBW Hi-Fi/CD System 40W O/P:

  • Enter your model number

  • DSEE upscaling restores quality to compressed files
  • S-Master digital amplifier for pure sound quality

  • Easy Bluetooth connectivity with NFC one-touch
  • Stream and control right from your smartphone with SongPal

The sony cmt-x5 is a wonderful audio device. The sony cmt-x5 is a wonderful audio device, ideal for listening to radio, cds or for playing music from your phone or ipod. You can play music from your phone, or any other music player, if you have a nfc compatible device or if you simply connect it with a 3. The sound quality is very clear, and the bass is pretty strong for a bluetooth speaker.

Great piece of home audio kit. Great piece of home audio kit. It is small enough to fit in almost any place, yet still loud enough to fill the whole house. Bluetooth connection is strong enough to be able to walk around the house with your phone and still have clear audio. Fm radio reception is also great. I had trouble with the dab reception initially, however i managed to fix the issue by extending the arial cable all the way and it works great now. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a compact hi-fi system, which is capable of producing loud and clear sound.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Stylish with great sound.
  • Entertaining, versatile, and a little bit magic!
  • Brilliant sound.

The good, the bad and the not very ugly. A solid, good quality item – at least as far as the sound quality of cd player is concerned. The dab radio, however, was hopeless – i tried several rooms in the house and failed to get more than half a dozen stations, but was not successful. My roberts dab radio works fine throughout. Amazon was excellent at replacing it (without the first one being returned), but the second one was no better and so i have obtained a refund. Other reviews have commented on the inadequate aerial wire being the culprit. I can’t recommend it for that reason.

We bought the cmt-x5 as we needed a speaker to plus phones etc in and we also had a stack of cds we wanted to play. This is a very sleek and stylish solution with a whole stack of functions. Build quality is excellent, very solid. I live in a dab free area but i knew this so not an issue. All other inputs play without fuss and the sound quality is exceptional, with deep bass and fine treble. It can also be loudi really love this device and don’t regret spending the money at all. It is going to get a lot of use.

Definitely a step-up from a radio alarm clock. Absolutely love this sony product. Definitely a major step-up from the radio alarm clock it replaced. Sound quality is crystal whether it is cd, fm, dab or bluetooth. Toggling the pre-set ‘sound’ to enhance the type of music you’re listening to. I did not have the dab/fm reception issues that other experienced. But i did make sure the dab antenna ‘clicked’ in properly as per installation instruction. Also being on the first floor (bedroom), the elevation may have aided with the reception. Songpal is a must, especially when you misplaced the remote. Nfc make connecting even easier.

Entertaining, versatile, and a little bit magic. This is one of a range of sony bluetooth speakers i looked at before making a choice – this seems to be the same (in sound quality specs) as the slightly more expensive x7 and i decided that i could live without airplay and wifi, so bought this one. Out of the box it’s very easy to set up and get your music playing. First up i put a couple of cd’s through their paces. Initially i thought that primal scream’s movin on up sounded a bit tinny to my ears, so i dug in to the songplay app and started fiddling around with the equaliser, which helped a lot – seemed to free everything up a bit. There is a bass repsponse, obviously nothing quite as booming as a system including a subwoofer, but instead more subtle and nuanced. I then listened to hans zimmer’s excellent interstellar soundtrack over bluetooth from my iphone. This soundtrack is particularly dynamic and enough to rattle the best speakers out there, but the sony cmt-x5 held it together with aplomb. The ambience is quite clever and the balance between the frequency range is rich, with impressive timing. Sony’s ‘clear audio+’ really does a great job here – there’s little to no distortion and plenty of room to breathe.

Volume could be better and satellite radio needs another ariel.

Sony all-in-one compact audio system with bluetooth/nfc – black. This is nice bit of kit with a few flaws that i’ve found so far. To be honest i’ve only really used this to listen to cds as radio doesn’t work well in the room i have it in (my fault not that of the device). I also have to say i’ve only had this for about one month so i have no idea about the longevity of the device. To my uncultured ears the sound is really good, nice and clear etc. It looks very nice sat on my kitchen work surface, very minimal and it only takes up a little bit of space. Down sides so far are that the nice shiny top with all the controls on and also the cd slot does tend to get dirt quickly as it’s the top of the device. I’m also worried that having the cd entry slot as merely a little slot in the top might mean that dust and dirt drops into it and i have no idea how to get it out once it has made its way inside. I also find that the remote is so tiny it gets easily lost amongst the normal surface detritus in my kitchen, that and the fact that sometimes when i try to get it to do things it completely ignores me is a little annoying. One final thing that i’ve discovered is that when you put a cd on shuffle it then shuffles the cd in exactly the same way each time you play it.

Brilliant retro style system. I bought to fit in a hifi cupboard with smoke glass front. It replaced an old sharp’s system which was not working. I also did the bluetooth pairing from my smartphone. Make sure you read setup instructions through first and familiarise yourself with the control panel and functions.

Panasonic SC-ALL5CDEBK 40 W Wireless Multi-Room Speaker : Good looking and sound quality better than expected.

Excellent device and panasonic all series in general. Excellent device and panasonic all series in general. All series has wide connectivity options from app and radio, spotify connect and bluetooth. Very well designed, good bass, clean sound. Works well with other wifi products.

Frankly superb, worth every penny. Have to say that when i was considering buying this unit i was also looking at its cheaper cousin the sc-hc29dbebk. So glad i went for this unit instead, the flexibility of being able to connect an additional all speaker unit and the sheer quality of the unit and the sound make it well worth the extra investment. The bass quality is astounding for such a thin unit and the range of connectivity options make this unit unbeatable in its range. If i had a gripe (and it would only be a minor one) it would be the look and feel of the ios app for streaming music – it doesn’t quite have the intuitive layout and attractive feel of your average ios app, and really does feel like an android app ported over. That’s not to say it doesn’t work because it works fine but it doesn’t look like an ios app and i don’t find it particularly easy to use.

Just what i was looking for.

Panasonic SC-ALL5CDEBK 40 W Wireless Multi-Room Speaker : Mainly good but with some frustrations. It looks and sounds good and is obviously a sophisticated piece of kit but it proved difficult to set up and it’s not particularly intuitive to use – especially the radio. In fact the radio is my main gripe. Admittedly i live in a poor reception area but it took a lot of adjustment to get the dab working properly and i find the antenna incapable of picking up fm stations. However, i bought it together with an all2 speaker and once set up they work together well. The free smartphone app is essential for pairing and was initially a source of much frustration, but this has recently been updated and now works smoothly and effortlessly. In addition i can stream music from my pc, tablet and smartphone and find that bluetooth and usb work well. Overall, not the most intuitive of systems to use, although as a stand-alone it would be easier, but it gives me good quality sound where i want and i’m glad that i didn’t give up and send it back initially because perseverance has proved it to be a good investment.
