Steepletone Memphis 5-in-1 Music System – DAB & Analogue FM Radio / 3 Speed Turntable / CD Player / USB & SD MP3 Play Back / Cassette Player / Vinyl to MP3 Recording / Cassette to MP3 Recording / Radio to MP3 Recorder : Great customer service – CD part didn’t work

Great customer service – cd part didn’t work. All the functionality you could ask for in a music centre. Great customer service – cd part didn’t work, direct4 did a straight swap – thank you.

I have had my memphis for about 6 months and use the record deck and cd often. I think the pre set sound outputs are a good idea and suit the styles of music and material i listen to. I have checked the other functions and am pleased to be able to transfer things and play things via a stick. It has been good to play old cassettes that i have not heard for years. The speakers are neat as is the overall unit with its compact size. This is not hi-fi but then i knew that and so it is good value as far as i am concerned.

Steepletone SRP1R 15 3 Speed Retro Vinyl Record Player – : Record player itself is excellent, but legs next to useless very wonky and

Brilliant radiogram, brings back memories of my youth.

Was slightly dubious about buying it but i’m so glad i did. After reading the reviews on this i was slightly dubious about buying it but i’m so glad i did. It takes me right back to my youth. Please do not be put of by the reviews on sound. For anyone who had a record player like this in their teenage years, the sound will be just fine. Do not compare it to playing cd’s or digital music on top notch speakers. This replicates the sounds we listened to in our bedrooms all those years ago. Slightly smaller than the old original ones but great all the same.

Excellent retro look record player, slightly dissappointing radio. The record player works well and looks great with excellent sound quality. My only criticism is that the controls are hard to read. The radio is disappointing, we can’t receive radio 4 on it without interference even in the suburbs of nottingham.

Absolutely amazing glad i bought it sounds great even with my. Absolutely amazing glad i bought it sounds great even with my old vinyls 45 /lps looks great in the room.

Lovely sound and good value for money very pleased with my purchase. Bought this for my husbands 60th birthday. Lovely sound and good value for money very pleased with my purchase.

Brilliant little record player. Looks fab and has good sound too. Bought as a present for my husband and he loves it.

Toy-like, but all the better for it, ‘it’s so cute’. My wife was delighted with this gift and is looking forward to playing more of her old record collection on it. Teenage daughters were spellbound by music coming from a plastic disc. Works well playing vinyl (yet to try radio, usb connection, hdd), sounds lovely, volume fine for average size room.

3 replacements and still broke. Looks great, very good sound, flimsy mechanism: semi automatic didn’t work on one, lever stopped working on the other, actual disc felt cheap and fragile and on all 3 the record was jumping. Bought it from digitalis-diverse who handled it really well but very disappointed with steepletone as a make.

This was a gift and the recipient was really pleased.

Lovely sound and good value for money very pleased with my purchase. Bought this for my husbands 60th birthday. Lovely sound and good value for money very pleased with my purchase.

It’s a great player sounds great.

Was very dubious on how this would sound but when it was first used i was pleasantly surprised on the sound quality. It’s not as good as a decent turntable but it is definetly above average for this type of player. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Was very pleased with my purchase (a gift for my husband). Was very pleased with my purchase (a gift for my husband). I’ve marked it down a star as i wish the sound had slightly more bass tones.

Lenco L-90 Walnut Veneer Turntable – I am so pleased with it

My first turntable since by connoisseur bd1/ sme 3009 bit the dust. This isn’t in the same league, being semi automatic but having listened to my old vinyl, i’d say buy iti considered all the modern minimalist ‘highly recommended’ ones but apart from still not (yet) getting the computer download to work. Hence the 4 star marking, i’m very satisfied. It does exactly what it says. If your an old audiophile who’s idea of heaven is a linn or better, then ‘walk on by’ but if like me, you want to dip you toes into vinyl, you’ll not regret it.

After packing my vinyl away many years ago after my kids wrote off one too many stylus and tone arms, and going on to collect hundreds of cd’s and an ipod, i suddenly felt the urge to play records again. The who, the jam, the kinks, the pistols have all now come out of their boxes. It’s amazing how different they sound after getting conditioned to cd’s and ipods over the last twenty five years, somehow they sound much better, or am i just being an old fart?.Anyway, this record deck not only sounds brilliant, it looks good too – which made it a little more acceptable to the wife when it magically appeared in the dining room the other day. Seriously, this is a great piece of kit, it plugs into the amp aux and off it goes – m m my generation.

Convert your vinyl collection. Currently, there are quite a number of record players out there which not only play vinyl discs (via your stereo), but also provide built-in digital conversion. I choose this one because it has a wood finish which looks better that the cheap silver plastic used on other brands and leaves out the cd slot & radio which create too many design compromises. When connected to a laptop via usb, the player creates mp3 files suitable for pcs or digital music players. The two important additions not found in conventional turntables are: the pre-amp, which boosts and equalises the weak signal from the stylus cartridge and the digital converter which converts the analogue signal into a digital bitstream. Unfortunately this group of turntables seem to be very much budget quality, and barely qualify as hi-fi. If you need the highest quality noise-free conversion then you should probably look elsewhere. Setup is a bid fiddly, but relatively quick. Anyone unfamiliar with turntable setup should note that the tone-arm and especially the cartridge are delicate items which you can easily damage with careless handling. I recommend that you keep the stylus guard on until you have completely finished assembly. Here are the specifications for the Lenco L-90 Walnut Veneer Turntable:

  • Enter your model number
    to make sure this fits.
  • Semi-automatic turntable with walnut wood veneer casing and removable aluminium headshell
  • USB port to convert vinyl to digital formats. Integrated switchable stereo pre-amplifier
  • Compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista Home and higher, Windows 7 Home and higher, Windows 7
  • Moving Magnetic Cartridge (MMC), adjustable counterweight, anti-skating and auto-stop
  • Balanced aluminium platter (332 mm diameter) with 33 and 45 RPM speed settings

Well engineered and good-looking usb turntable. I’ve owned the l-90 for about a year now, following a recommendation on the bleep (warp records) website that made it look pretty cool. I had been after a decent, cheap-ish turntable with usb conversion for a while but the problem with low-end models i’d owned previously was that the tracking was very poor. I own a lot of quirky us vinyl pressings of techno records so i really needed something that was capable of playing anything that a technics sl1210 can play – and i’m happy to report that it does the job. Setup: the l-90 is easy to set up although as it is a quasi-audiophile product it does require some assembly but the instructions are very clear on this. Use: the l-90 plays just about anything – inside out pressings, off-centre pressings, records with tracks cut very near to the label, warped records. A real bugbear of mine with non-audiophile turntables is the auto-return function which kicks in too early and doesn’t let you put the needle on the record near the centre of an lp and can’t be disabled. Fortunately then the l-90 doesn’t have this – it does have a quirky auto-stop to save the needle (for anyone with a non auto-stop turntable e. The sl1210 who’s ever fallen asleep before the record ends) which works fine (but is a bit odd – you’ll see what i mean if you buy this) and can be disabled anyway.

Good prompt delivery set up instructions not totally clear but easy enough.

Feels solid and well made, however, it doesn’t come with a uk plug fitted – only reason it got 4 stars not 5.

Well i’m no aficionado on hifi equipment but for me this (so fare) has done everything i requiredof it, simple to put together and was playing my rumours album within 10mins. It looks great and soundgreta toogiven my vinyls a new lease of life and prompted me to purchase 2 new ones over the weekend.

I have decks costing thousands. I only bought this to check out digitising lps from vinyl. This is the best packed and easiest to setup since the pioneer pl12d classic years ago well done excellent value for money. I have thorens 125 , systemdeck, mitchell gyro deck and pl12d , shure v15 etcall expensive & need extensive setting up but the lenco l 90 was so simple and with audacity i was recording 45 year old vinyl to mp3 this being the main reason for purchase – the deck handles the old vinyl well and nice bass response nice recordings so for the price its a steal and looks good too – buy one .

Love this record player – it looks fantastic next to my 40 year old sony amp.

Great looks and great finish. Great looks and great finish. Sound was good – showed up the little niggles of scratches on my lps but that is part of the experiencedidn’t have it for long as i soon upgraded to the next lenco model that fitted in better with the rest of my system – black/silver. Setup was easy, connected to my yamaha av without any issues. I feel as though i needed to be extra careful given the wooden finish as i didn’t want to leave any marks on it. Having the cover was a bonus to keep the dusty away.

Can now listen to all my old vinyls. Great little stereo which can be taken anywhere.

A vinyl collection and i thought it would be great for their summer barbecues. I bought this turntable for my parents as they have a vinyl collection and i thought it would be great for their summer barbecues. I was so pleased with my purchasethe turntable came in good packaging so it was in immaculate condition when it reached me. Once i had helped my parents set it up it was so easy to use, i did not realise that you could even get portable turntables, i was a bit worried about what the quality of sound would be like, but i must say i was pleasantly surprised. It was perfect for background music. It works with 33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpm records so they could play their whole collection. It works just as well as the standard turntables, just with the added bonus of being easily stored away in a good looking ‘brief case’. I think this is a great product and definitely worth the price, so many of my parents friends have commented on how much of a great idea it is and they couldn’t believe how such a compact vinyl player with small speakers could sound as good as it does. Some of them have even purchased one themselves now. So overall i would highly recommend.

5* review ideal for listening to my rock n’ roll vinyl collection. Having read so many varied reviews i decided to add my own findings on the crosley executive briefcase style three speed turntable and it is exactly what i was after. This is purely for my rock & roll vinyl i was after the more authentic look and mono sound (it won’t upset the neighbours with the high setting on the volume control however, it’s still loud enough to enjoy listening to my music). I don’t have many vinyl records in my collection as replaced most with cd’s over the years but, given vinyl is making a come back added to the fact i held onto some of my vinyl it’s lovely to be able to hear them again in a more mono tone i associated with the rock n roll music. I am not after an expensive turntable at this time and this compact case can easily be stored away between use. So it’s a thumbs up from me.

He really enjoys listening to music so this was the perfect gift. Sound quality is fine for just regular use and would recommend it to anyone who would just like something to play vinyls on for everyday use without breaking the bank.

Nice looking thing but sounds rubbish. Hopefully will sound better with speakers.

Bought as present excellent value and quality.

The quality of sound is improved through auxillary speakers.

Jumps when i play certain records that play on other devices.

Nice compact record player. . Takes my back to the good old days of vinyl so had to get all my lps and 7inch singles out again to enjoy once again in their original state. Still puzzles youngsters of today how it all works and produces, music.

To start getting into vinyl and enjoy a basic sound with a compact player. 00 in the shops it aint worth that, £65. Before you buy this ask what you want from it and why you are buying it. To play some old vinyl you haven’t converted to cd or to buy and play vinyl only releases, convert via usb to computer (my reason) it will do. To start getting into vinyl and enjoy a basic sound with a compact player, then this may be for you. If you want to play your £25. 00 noel gallagher lp, this is not for you, get a hi. Fi deck with amp speakers etc.

After an initial problem with the arm returning before some records had finished, i contacted the manufacturer who was very prompt in replying, explaining how to adjust the arm. It now works very well and records long unheard are now being enjoyed once more.

Great sounding record player. . Brought for hubby’s birthday. The arm needed weighting down when in use as it was a bit jumpy but the sound quality is excellent from the internal features. I had spent weeks looking for the right player, in the end i know i made the right choice. The best bit is it folds away and fits neatly under the bed. Bought as a present for some with over 400 60’s vinyls. It seems to always be onthe sound is a bit on the thin side, but they tell me, thats how it was in their daysi plugged it into a powered speaker, and it sounds amazing for it is. As far as looks go, it is definitely something that looks real pretty.

It does what it says on the tin. If you have the space for and money to buy a stacked stereo with a £200 turntable sat on top you really don’t want this. If you are an audiophile for whom bose is a benchmark, don’t buy this. If, however, like me you live in a small house with a partner and a couple of kids all vying for what little space there is and have your vinyl collection stashed away in an upstairs cupboard unplayed but not unloved, it might be for you. So, the pros:sturdy construction, reasonably good looks. Even if it doesn’t leave the house you can drop the lid and stash it out of the way. Line out jacks (but if you had an amp to plug it in to you’d have a ‘proper’ turntable instead?)usb port so you can rip your albums with supporting software (not used yet and unlikely to). Plays 33s, 45s and 78s (but you need a 78 needle). Cons:there is only one (so far) and that is sound quality. Having read many of the amazon. Com reviews it was this subject that devided opinion. So, the sound is, er, uncomplicated.

Bought as a gift for my husband, he is very pleased that he can now play his record collection again. It certainly met all my expectations as a portable, easily storable record player and happily we could easily connect it to the sound bar on our tv to give better sound quality. My husband loves the look and the sheer novelty of this player. Would definitely recommend it but be prepared for portable sound quality if you rely on the inbuilt speakers alone.

The quality of sound is improved through auxillary speakers.

Amazing record player works perfectly. The only thing is the list clasp that holds the needle fell out once not happened since.

Teac MC-D800-CH FM/AM Radio – Good product and service

Quality record player i have had many hours of enjoyment out of it playing my old records sound quality very good would reccomend.

Looks nice but poor quality. . Looks nice but overall the quality i would judge as poor. The pick up arm has developed a buzz, the cd player skips some of my cd. Just kind of feel disappointed with the product. I desired to get back to vinyl on a limited budget. Probably should have waited a little longer and bought something more substantial.

Pleased with this teac hi-fi. . Well i did fret for some time whether to buy this teac but once i unpacked and set it up i was quite pleased and surprised with it. Of course i didn’t use the rather small speakers that came with it as i used a set of large sony speakers. No doubt those smaller speakers that came with it would have disappointed me. But the reason i went for this teac unit is because it is all now part of a console cabinet with tv, hi-fi, cd, dvd and radio. I can even watch youtube on it. It’s what i believe we brits used to call radiogrames. And i’ve just spent the last 3 months building one, and i’m thrilled with it. And i will be doing a second review of this product along with a youtube video of it. So why did i choose the teac hi-fi?.

Not over-loud, but great sound reproduction. Ideal for an environment where space is limited. . Quality product, great sound equalisation straight out of the box>bought for use in a small box room.

This music centre has turned out better than expected. This music centre has turned out better than expected. It’s a competent starter unit. There was initially a problem with the turntable running fast but this was successfully adjusted after advice from teac support. The speed adjustment is not difficult to do but raises concerns over product quality control, why was it not checked at the factory?.

I decided that the cruiser was very poor in quality and not to my taste. For xmas i was bought some vinyl records and a crosley cruiser. I decided that the cruiser was very poor in quality and not to my taste. After a good deal of time spent looking for a reasonably priced record player and hi fi system , i saw the teac system a good entry level system to start with. After reading the reviews i was a little sceptical. I soon realised it was a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a lot of expensive hi fi separates that at the moment i could not afford. I decided to take a leap of faith and buy the teac. It is far better quality than the crosley machine. Admittedly i am a vinyl novice but although the turntable is plastic looking it sounds very good in my opinion. The speed seems fine to me and ‘ heart shaped box ‘ by nirvana is currently being played very loudly in my kitchen.

Very pleased with this purchase, plays my old records really well.

I made an error on my previous review and it recorded a 1 rather than a 5. There was a difficulty with the original order that affected the original delivery date. However the product and service from peter tysons has been spot on.

Feels solidly built and came well packaged. Purchased this item mainly to play my old vinyl records, the radio and cd player were just a bonus. Performance so far is exactly what i would expect for a hi fi system in this price range.

Excellent systemvery little set up required. Connect the speakers, plug in and away you go. Blutooth connected instantly and vinyl sounds great. It’s not overly loud but loud enough for my needs. Couldn’t run a house party on it but is great none the less.

Great find on amazon, i love being able to play my old vinyl records through the sound bar.

I’ve not listened to vinyl since i sold my 1210’s about 5 yrs ago. To compare this to them or any other high end turntable would be silly. My lovely girlfriend surprised me with this at 6am on my birthday yesterday. 6amas i had been talking about purchasing a turntable, it gave her the idea to get me one. She knew it wasn’t quite the price range i was shopping for but i’m more than happy as she had put thought in to it and it’s from her 😊. It worked straight out the box. Pressed the bluetooth button and alexa immediately shouted ‘now connected to dongle so on and forth’. I threw on my nils frahm – spaces album (also given to me that same morning).

Great bit of kit, after several attempts at getting the right turntable this finally ticks all the boxes. Have mine linked to a psyc monic speaker and the sound quality is great. It looks sleek and modern and would fit in with pretty much any decor. It is extremely easy to use, haven’t used the taping the vinyl facility but i just want to listen to all my old lps.

It’s ‘normal’ size turntable for those of us of a certain age it’s great to hear the crackle of a vinyl album. If i had to find a fault it would that you have to lift the needle arm on and off the record. It does however have a lever to lift the arm up. Recording to your pc is easy with the enclosed software and cables. And it is totally portable just requiring power. For us oldies to be able to play our long lost and lonely vinyl that has been stuck in the garage or the attic for many years. I’m going to guess that as soon as ion realise how cheap it is they will increase the price. Only time will tell how durable it is.

New ones only play one side speed slows down.

Excellent sound and bluetooth convenience (he plays it through a. Bought as present for my son. For; excellent sound and bluetooth convenience (he plays it through a bose bluetooth speaker). Against : he keeps borrowing my old l p’s and not returning them.

Very pleased with this item. Connects to bluetooth soundbar easily nb bluetooth 4. Sound is good, look is very good and modern. Old lps sound as good as new. Software is ok but a bit limited for transferring to pc but i mainly bought it for playing old records and it does that well.

ION Audio Air LP tooth Streaming Vinyl Record Player Turntable – Great bit of kit

Able to plug in to our bose speaker and blue tooth to a speaker in another room all at the same time if you want to.

Great sound when paired with some nice speakers.

Problems connecting to amazon echo dot. . I bought this on recent prime day for a £60 – bargain – but, i couldn’t get it to connect to any bluetooth devices initially. I was on the verge of returning this but after 2 calls to uk support (the 1st of which they told me it was faulty and 2 return it). I’ve managed to get this to work. Top tip here is if that you are connecting to a speaker / device that has others stored in it’s memory – wipe the memory and connect only this (to start with). The turntable uses up a lot of memory on amazon echo or other speakers and so you will need to do this or it won’t work. I was connecting to an echo dot (in turn connected to powered speakers) and had to wipe previous connections to phones, headphones etc. The bt name to look for when searching for the turntable is ‘csr audio dongle’ – hardly straightforward and a sign of how much effort / money has been put into this product. Once set up the sound is tinny yes, i’m sure a more expensive turntable would provide a ‘richer’ sound – but this has maintained the life of my old dads record collection and my dodgy 80’s & 90’s 7′ singles and my 5 year old now has the wonder of vinyl johnny morris stories and crackly records to dance to – so – job done. Decent quality for a decent price but flaky bluetooth. Quality is fine, it looks quite nice but the bluetooth function is pretty poor. It often doesn’t connect and when it does, it often cuts out. It could be just the particular bluetooth speaker i’m using (a sony one) and overall i think you get what you paid for, so i can’t really complain too much. I just use a cable to connect to the speaker now.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Vinyl revisited.
  • great quality sounds great
  • Fantastic with AirPods too!

Arm a bit plastic-y but i guess most are now. I was spoilt with the balanced steel s arm of yesteryear. Sound not fantastic, but to be fair it will depend on the speakers/amp you connect to. Invest in tidy speakers and i’m sure it’ll sound great – that’ll be our next step.

So easy to install and sounds brilliant played through the soundbar.

Great quality sounds great, connects easy.

Nicest design i could find and is perfect for everyday vinyl listening – only downside is you have to use bluetooth to play via speakers and it needs to be in close range. I’d go for the one with built in speakers if i had the choice again but it doesnt look as nice.

Slow to connect, but good sound quality. It takes an age to connect to my bose bluetooth speaker, i have to reset it several times to get it to connect (don;t have similar problems connecting other devices to the speaker, so can only assume it’s the record player. In fact i got so frustrated that i ended up buying an amp and speakers, and now it works well. The sound quality is good- although i needed to connect it to the aux input on the amp, not the phono input.

Steepletone SRP1R-11 Retro Style 3 Speed Record Player – For what it is the sound is amazing especially for my 7″ Ska collection

Have not used it much but very happy with results so far. Sound is fine and able to listen to my lps now.

The initial item delivered was faulty as the amp did not work. However, it was fairly easy to make a return and the second item delivered worked. The player is easily portable and i love the fact that all i have to do is plug it in anywhere around the house or even someone else’s house. The sound is better than i thought it would be (even my son thinks it’s ok)and it is easy to operate. I am pleased with the purchase.

Gift ‘ i have to say i just love’love love it’ he has made a childhood dream come true. I got this record player today form my son as a birthday gift ‘ i have to say i just love’love love it’ he has made a childhood dream come true exactly what i always wanted and more’ play’s like a dream sound’s great take’s me back to the good old day’s sound’s just right not to loud but well and good enough to play my beloved record’s on i give this 10 stars better than i thought ‘ get one and have has much joy as i am having. Here are the specifications for the Steepletone SRP1R-11 Retro Style 3 Speed Record Player:

  • Enter your model number
    to make sure this fits.
  • Plays 7, 10 and 12 inch records
  • USB / SD MP3 Playback Function – Upto 4GB Max
  • Stereo speakers with front facing large speaker grill
  • AM/MW – FM Manual Tune Radio
  • 3 Speed 33/45/78 RPM Semi Automatic Record Player

I have enjoyed several hours playing my records. Looks great and a decent volume.

Sadly that’s about all i can say positively about the product. The sound quality is poor and lacks in bass. The lack of audio output restricting you to the inbuilt speakers is its greatest flaw. Radio function is good although does not have dab capability. The usb slot is usefull ( i use it to charge my phone) and reads music files adequately, that is if the file is a crappy mp3.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Looks great but sounds?
  • RETRO RECORD PLAYER
  • Good nostalgic and heartwarming sound and simple to use

This steepletone record player really looks the business. Of all the ones that are currently on the market this is the closest to what record players used to look like in the 60’s. For nostalgia in looks this really does do it as a talking point in your living room. However i do question the quality of sound. To me the sound is very ‘boxy’ and lacks the richness of the good record players of years gone by. The price on even amazon seems to vary from £100 to £180. For that price i would have expected a lot better sound than what is produced here. If you are interested there are extra bits that come with it (but no centre spindle to allow stacking of several records – probably a good idea because that did cause damage to records). There is an adaptor for singles that have had their centres punched out for juke boxes.

Steepletone have always been the go to guys for me in terms of vinyl players. This player is absolutely stunning. The dials all feel really sturdy, and also look nice. Nothing feels cheap on this. There is a little slot for a usb stick or lead so that you can play mp3’s. But if i have a vinyl player, the only thing i want to play are vinyls. The sound is immense, right up to the crackle as a record starts. This really is a vinyl player worth getting.

Everyone who see’s and hear’s this retro player love’s it as much as i do, ok it’s not got the best turntable and tone arm but your not buying a do it all hi-fi system, for me it’s a step back in time to when i had my first record player all the great singles i’d buy and i get as much fun know playing them all over again now ,.

We wanted a record player with in-built speakers to play our old lps on. Easy to use and the sound is pretty good considering the size of the speaker.

I was after a modern retro ‘dansette’- style record player and this fitted the bill. It’s a neat, compact player with radio and digital facilities for downloading which is handy. The sound is fine for a player of this genre (don’t expect high end) and serves its purpose i. E revisiting my dusty old vinyls. My one negative comment is that the build quality falls short of the original sixties models, so i don’t expect it to have the same longevity of the older players.
