Crosley Nomad Three Speed USB Enabled Vinyl Turntable – Pretty turntable with amazing sound

Pretty turntable with amazing sound. I bought this turntable last week for my mother in law, as she has seen it online and it was her birthday. She got attracted to it as it just looks amazing with its beautiful cloth. I first thought it might look good but the sound will be bad – but when i got it and tried it out, i realized that it not only looked good, it also sounded amazing. I am really into turntables and normally (for myself) would only buy a direct driven turntable without built in speakers, but this was a present. And honestly, this sounds at least as good as my £ 249. 00 turntable from another well known manufacturer and i am seriously thinking of getting one of the crosley’s myself now. The other thing which she really loves is the fact that you can close the lid whenever you want and it just looks like a pretty suitcase. She closes the lid when she is out at work so her little cheeky cat cant step on it. The other cool little feature is the headphone jack which you can use if you want to listen to your music not via the speakers but through headphones.

Pleasantly surprised with sound quality as distinct from volume & toneb. Good cartridge from a respected manufacturerc. Unit has clean lines and is well assembledd. The unobtrusive cloth finish works well in most environmentsareas requiring improvement:a. A larger than 7” platter to better support 12” recordsb. A larger case so lid does not require removing to play 12” recordsc. A device for lowering & lifting needleand remember to switch off the auto stop button if you don’t want singles, that are more than circa 3 minutes, to end prematurely.

i have a slight obsession with all things retro, and after acquiring an extensive vinyl collection over the years, i felt i should bite the bullet and treat myself to a quality record player once and for all. I have always known that crosley are the brand to buy when shopping for a good player, but as it is a bit of an investment, i spent some time researching to find which player would be most suited to my needs. First off, the packaging was very practical; i had to carry my player quite far on my walk home and was pleased to see it come with a secure plastic handle making my walk a whole lot easieras soon as i got home i opened the box and set my player up, where i encountered a small problem with the crosley nomad record player- i am unable to keep the nice back/lid of the player on whilst listening to any of my 12” records. They have possibly made the portable turntable smaller than usual for ease of transportation, but it does not look as nice without the back onhowever, and more importantly, the sound it emits is incredible. The turntable is very easy to use, simply turning the dial to start a record and adjust the volume. Another nice touch is how crosley have cleverly placed the speakers on the sides of the record player, allowing for a more direct and clearer sound. The great thing about the player for a first time buyer like myself is that these built in speaker’s means it takes no time to set up, and is rather compact. I have attached a little video to show how good the sound quality is, shame about the video quality.

I bought this turntable for my dad’s birthday. He has a large collection of vinyls and often listens to them with the sound system in the lounge. I wanted to get him something a little bit more compact so that he can listen to them in his bedroom. He was over the moon with his gift and the design/colour matched the furnishings so it didn’t look out of place. But more importantly, it played his vinyls very well, even his full 12′ lps. The only thing i would mark down on is for the price i thought the in-built speakers would produce a better sound. You can link them to external speakers but going back to the whole ‘compact’ thing it made sense just to stick with the in-house speakers.
