Kitsound Boom Evolution Link Multi-Room Audio Wireless Music Streaming System : I took a punt on these and I am so happy I did

This is an astounding piece of kit.  this is an astounding piece of package. If you are on the lookout for an inexpensive still trusted, superior sounding streaming system, then this is all you want to glimpse at. Indeed sonos and the other people are great (leaders even) but this not only retains up with them, it is rate tag smashing them out of the park. You can set up your complete house with these vs a value of a sonos bridgein get to assistance anybody looking at this products with fascination, i did a little bit of a box opening review. Remember to note i have not polished this other then lower out some unexciting bits. The relaxation was all on the fly as i made use of it and i assume it simply just exhibits how easy the set up and engage in again can be with these units.

Quality at a incredibly reduced selling price. I was searching for an additional kitsound link multiroom audio wireless enabler to include to my community when i cam across this ovation bundle at the value of sixty two quid. Supplied the best rate i can discover on the enabler by yourself is over thirty quid that would make it about 30 quid for the seem bar – extraordinary price. I have a number of allplay products – and they sync collectively to give multi space connectivity – with excellent high quality sound – far better than the chomecast audio. The soundbar alone is good – and properly well worth the the a hundred quid as well as you would generally pay out. It benefits from excellent connectivity – hdmi, optical, aux and bluetooth. It is very heavy and shiny black, but it sits very well on the rubber ft – and arrives with a wall mounting package. The draw back of the wall mount possibility is that it will limit the outcome of the rear bass ports – but that mentioned it puts out a powerfull complete vary audio – with a stereo music and vitual expanded moreover a silent choice which seems to clear away all the bottom stop. It will be a great deal loud enough for most medium to significant dimensions rooms. I suspect that the value of these signifies the finish of line clearance – but at the time of writing there are four left in stock.

Large excellent, quite functional – extremely amazed. . Having examined these out, i’ve now purchased four of these ‘links’ and have them up and jogging in my property. I have had a full house audio system working for in excess of 12 many years but the driving element (a personal computer by way of a superior high quality soundcard) is having decidedly very long in the tooth and it was time to change. I might been tempted a quantity of moments by sonos but the price for the connect units of almost £300 was prohibitive when looking at four-6 zones. Plus, i did not like it that they experienced dropped their distinct controllers in favour of phones/tablet apps. So a couple of things have improved. With fingerprint recognition on the iphone, the velocity of unlocking to alter a location or quantity is a lot much less of an problem, so i was well prepared to go with the circulation on that. Sensible cost to experiment with, open normal. They are very easy to configure. I just switched on, linked by tablet to their have community and then followed the prompts to give the box a zone title (e. Kitchen area) and then picked the residence wireless community and entered the password. I have a nas box that runs a dlna server that supplies streaming of all mp3 tracks on the nas but also world wide web radio. This receives picked up by the link application as ‘network media’ and just perform seamlessly. The link boxes are plugged via phono cables to a multi-channel electric power amp that distributes music to the wired in speakers close to the house. The jukebox app then acts as the controller around wifi with music being streamed direct from the nas to the link units.

I’m glad i uncovered these minimal packing containers. I was contemplating investing into sonos, but due to owning existing large quality hifi devices throughout my home i was wanting at 4 of the sonos connect models at £279 a time, which is a lot to pay to get a electronic output from a electronic systemthese models do specifically the same occupation for all around a quarter of the rate. To be totally fair to sonos, their app is outstanding, but for a 75% saving i was joyful to set up with the slightly clunky character of the allplay jukebox app. I subsequently learned that the musaic application supports these gamers, which is a a lot a lot more person-helpful expertise than the jukebox application. I only hope this to strengthen in time. The packaging the boxes arrive in is extra like something you’d hope to obtain an iphone in. My variations arrived with a usb electric power source, as well as a usb to mini usb cable and a 3. The unit by itself is quite very well developed and has a quality experience to it.

From computer to any speaker in the house – brill. Brilliant piece of package that will allow you to enjoy music from your computer system to any speaker in the home that has a three. Easy to use, simple to connect, and pretty very good value for income, as you will not have to purchase a complete new bunch of speakers.

KitSound Boom Evolution Link Multi-Room Audio Wireless Music Streaming System with Allplay and Spotify Connect – White : The device uses cheap plastic and doesn’t. Quite limited functionality – i bought it before having echo dot – it worked okay – setup is not overly complex, not very easy either. The device uses cheap plastic and doesn’t look well near the speaker. It often struggled with wifi connection. Not bad but for the similar price echo dot offers far wider functionality.

I took a punt on these and i am so happy i did. I have wanted a ‘sonos’ type system in my house for some time but have avoided buying sonos because i just didnt want to be chained into their system. I took a punt on these and i am so happy i did. I recognised kitsound from the pulse radio i have (still running great) so when i saw that they had come up with this solution it seemed like a good choice. I bought 2 so i could do the lounge and the kitchen. Set up – 9/10set up on this was a flipping dream. I downloaded the app to my phone. Then i powered up the first one, (had to use one of the many usb mains chargers i had lying around as there was not one in the box – i would take half a star off for that but i cant so i’m leaving it at 5 and taking a point off the 10 for set up) i waited a bit for it to boot up then pressed the wps key on it followed by the wps key on my router. By the time i had walked back into the lounge it had a solid white light on it.

Fantastic for multi-room, but make guaranteed you get at the very least 2. Anyone who reads my testimonials is familiar with that i am all about technological know-how that not only does a little something that i could never have imagined in advance of that it could ever do, but is also genuinely simple to use. I never want to be investing fifty percent of my lifestyle seeking to set up something, and odds are i will just leave it if i commit ages without having any luck. That is precisely why i was really hesitant when it came to this products. I could conveniently see why somebody would want it, but could anyone like me essentially use it?the packaging of the kitsound link is certainly lovely, and it offers a truly satisfying unboxing encounter. I liked the silver and the gray tones all in excess of, some thing that kitsound has performed for a several other items (i think) to highlight that they are really premium. There are tonnes of icons and bubbles and every thing, which is good but anything that you cannot definitely get from amazon (examine out my images for more specifics). I have to be honest nevertheless, and just as i have knowledgeable with other kitsound merchandise, it can be ridiculously tough to get into them. The real box was not so lousy, but simply because of the way the tag was fitted, i had to really wrench it to get it off.Make confident that you are satisfied with possibly destroying component of the packaging to really get to it.

Mutli-area audio to rival them all. I’m an avid fan of multi-room audio and have performed with a mixture of systems to attain what i genuinely want. The levels of competition in the past 12 months has ramped up as the other big corporate gamers have adorned us with their equivalent choices, which in my viewpoint are however participating in catch up with their unstable apps and flaky reliability. As with all new technologies there will generally be glitches and bugs in the starting so think about my shock when my two kitsound inbound links arrived, established up in ten minutes and not a glitch to communicate ofi’ve had this pair for a thirty day period now and i like them. They are extremely modest and light which some would say can make them feel low-cost but they are fundamentally a quite small product, gentle and compact is essentially what i want. Aesthetically incredibly pleasing, finished in a black piano substantial gloss with an illuminated large electricity button. I received two packing containers that had been approximately 15cm x 7cm, neatly packed inside of was the unit, usb cable, plug adapter and manuals. 5mm jacks involved but i believe that this was thrown in as an further and may not be regular. The back of the unit reveals a mini usb port (electric power), aux out (3.

Multiple zone tech without having to replace existing equipment. I’ve never really been a fan of sonos because of the limitations it brings in supported devices. The concept however is something i have desired for years, i have many zoned in my house all that i would have liked to have linked. Earlier this year i wired in my kef in ceiling system to a multi zone amp out to a custom garden installation, to which we connect via bluetooth. Where was the link when we installed this??. The saving i would have made by separating the zones would have more than paid for a couple of kitsound links but also would have made connecting more sleek, currently zones are controlled by a mixer built into the wall. Using the link i could have selected the zone on the app by a friendly name with no need for manual adjustment. But enough about that lets review the product at hand. I received two link boxes to hook up my marantz 7009 b&w cm9 system in the lounge and the custom installation at the rear of the house. Unboxingi received two boxes about 15cm x 7, tightly packed inside was the unit, usb cable, plug adapter and manuals.

Just a ideal bit of hardware. The allplay applications (not made by kitsound) could be superior, but the spotify connect integration is effective correctly. Truly amazed, thank you.

I generally have a pretty poor experience with most electrical items not matching up to expectations. I wasn’t expecting much of this product given the price. Surprised, this is an excellent product at a great price. Easy to setup, no latency on my pretty average internet connection between rooms. Does exactly what it says on the box. Sound quality i can’t fault either. I’ll be buying another couple.

Quality at a very low price. I was looking for another kitsound link multiroom audio wireless enabler to add to my network when i cam across this ovation bundle at the price of 62 quid. Given the best price i can find on the enabler alone is over 30 quid that makes it about 30 quid for the sound bar – remarkable value. I have a number of allplay devices – and they sync together to give multi room connectivity – with excellent quality sound – better than the chomecast audio. The soundbar itself is decent – and well worth the the 100 quid plus you would normally pay. It benefits from great connectivity – hdmi, optical, aux and bluetooth. It is quite heavy and shiny black, but it sits well on the rubber feet – and comes with a wall mounting kit. The downside of the wall mount option is that it will limit the effect of the rear bass ports – but that said it puts out a powerfull full range sound – with a stereo music and vitual expanded plus a quiet option which seems to remove all the bottom end. It will be plenty loud enough for most medium to large size rooms. I suspect that the price of these represents the end of line clearance – but at the time of writing there are 4 left in stock.

Does exactly what i hoped it would. Does exactly what i hoped it would. Finds my wifi signal, locks onto it first time and stays there, then takes the output from spotify connect and gives the option of an optical output. Optical option taken by adding in a suitable (fiio) dac with rca red/white outputs. . And hey presto, every song i ever wanted to hear streamed into my late-80’s hifi separates at 320kb/s near-cd quality.

A 5-star product but deserves only 3 star for this purchase. Setup:the device does what it claims to be. The setup is easy, except that i need to read the manual carefully in order to find out how to connect the device with my router via wps. Once connected and i downloaded the allplay app, the rest is super easy. Sound:the sound is very good even i use the analog output. It is very difficult for me to tell the difference between its analog output versus my usd1,500 streamer output. The device comes with a digital optical output so you can always use an external dac if you want. Why removed 2 stars:it did not look like a new device when i received it.

Excellent audio streaming client. A first-rate, stable audio streaming client with more capability than chrome audio at the audiophile end of users. Recommendation to the developer: the component should return to the previous state after a power interruption. In the current firmware, the user has to push the power button to get it running.

      1. I’m glad i found these little boxes. I was considering investing into sonos, but due to having existing high quality hifi systems throughout my house i was looking at four of the sonos connect units at £279 a time, which is a lot to pay to get a digital output from a digital systemthese units do exactly the same job for around a quarter of the price. To be completely fair to sonos, their app is brilliant, but for a 75% saving i was happy to put up with the slightly clunky nature of the allplay jukebox app. I subsequently discovered that the musaic app supports these players, which is a much more user-friendly experience than the jukebox app. I only expect this to improve in time. The packaging the boxes come in is more like something you’d expect to receive an iphone in. My versions came with a usb power supply, plus a usb to mini usb cable and a 3. The unit itself is very well built and has a quality feel to it.

The product itself is excellent. Easy to set up and a huge sound quality difference from bluetooth. Spotify sounds so much better than it did being sent over xptx. Unfortunately i purchased a pack of two units from amazon but the box only contained one. Trying to get the other one sent out felt like groundhog day when speaking with amazon’s customer service representative over their chat app. Great device, not great amazon.

High quality, very versatile – very impressed. . Having tested these out, i’ve now bought 4 of these ‘links’ and have them up and running in my house. I’ve had a whole house audio system running for over 12 years but the driving component (a pc through a high quality soundcard) is getting decidedly long in the tooth and it was time to change. I’d been tempted a number of times by sonos but the price for the connect units of nearly £300 was prohibitive when considering 4-6 zones. Plus, i didn’t like it that they had dropped their specific controllers in favour of phones/tablet apps. So a couple of things have changed. With fingerprint recognition on the iphone, the speed of unlocking to change a setting or volume is much less of an issue, so i was prepared to go with the flow on that. Reasonable price to experiment with, open standard. They are very easy to configure. I just switched on, connected by tablet to their own network and then followed the prompts to give the box a zone name (e. Kitchen) and then picked the house wireless network and entered the password. I have a nas box that runs a dlna server that provides streaming of all mp3 tracks on the nas but also internet radio. This gets picked up by the link app as ‘network media’ and just work seamlessly. The link boxes are plugged via phono cables to a multi-channel power amp that distributes music to the wired in speakers around the house. The jukebox app then acts as the controller over wifi with music being streamed direct from the nas to the link units.

Mutli-room audio to rival them all. I’m an avid fan of multi-room audio and have played with a combination of technologies to achieve what i really want. The competition in the last year has ramped up as the other big corporate players have adorned us with their equivalent offerings, which in my opinion are still playing catch up with their unstable apps and flaky reliability. As with all new technologies there will always be glitches and bugs in the beginning so imagine my surprise when my two kitsound links arrived, set up in 10 minutes and not a glitch to speak ofi’ve had this pair for a month now and i love them. They are very small and light which some would say makes them feel cheap but they are essentially a very small device, light and small is actually what i need. This is an amazing piece of kit.  this is an amazing piece of kit. If you are looking for an affordable yet reliable, good sounding streaming system, then this is all you need to look at. Yes sonos and the others are good (leaders even) but this not only keeps up with them, it’s price tag smashing them out of the park. You can set up your whole house with these vs a price of a sonos bridgein order to help anyone looking at this product with interest, i did a bit of a box opening review. Please note i have not polished this other then cut out some boring bits. The rest was all on the fly as i used it and i think it simply shows how simple the set up and play back can be with these units.

I was surprised how much i like these. I’ve had this pair for a month now and i like them more than i thought i would. They are very small and light. Some may say they haven’t got much “substance” to them, but it’s electronics. Being powered by usb is very nice. I have recently installed several socket faces with 2 usb ports and devices like this allow me to plug in 4 devices before needing to resort to extension leads. Their small footprint means they can be tucked into small available spaces. Setup was quite simple, although i did have to change the wifi password encryption type, but that’s no bad thing as i had to make it more secure. Even without the convenient wps button it’s just a case of connecting to the devices wifi, setting up things on the page, then back to your normal wifi. The quality of the music is flawless as far as my average ears can tell, and the app is very responsive. A change of volume, a pause, skip; all are immediately actioned. I haven’t used the two at once as of yet, but with mine placed in the garage and the living room, there will be (warmer) days when projects have me running to and from the garage, and being able to continue listening to my music as i move around will be great. Talking of moving around, when i used to have my phone plugged into my stereo to listen to music i would have to keep going back to it to change track, skip a dud, or queue up something i just thought of. Having the music control in your pocket makes that so much easier.

1. A sound piece of kit from kitsound.  as someone who is quite heavily invested in multi-room audio from another manufacturer, i was interested to learn about allplay software as a viable, cross-platform alternative. Competition is a good thing, and as much as i like the kit i currently have, it doesn’t really play well with the existing speaker systems and stereos i have in my home. Or rather it does (with the use of a sonos connect), but whilst that is an excellent piece of kit, it is now old and quite expensive for what it does. So i was interested to learn about the kitsound link as a product which could easily link my existing hifi and speakers to both the music i have on a nas, and also the streaming services i use (spotify being the main one). The cost of the link units is incredible for the functionality they provide, so i was keen to give them a go. My office hifi is not hooked up to any other zone, so the link was an opportunity to be able to easily add multi-room between there and my main hifi room. Hardware and setupthe link units are packaged very well, and upon removing them from their packaging they appear well made and a smart design. They are light in weight, but well finished plastics and could easily be hidden or left on display, depending on your preference. Mine were packaged with usb power adapters and 3. 5mm audio leads, but as i already had these in place with my hi-fi, i simply swapped them in and completed the very simple setup procedure as per the instructions. I must confess to leaping straight in to setup without reading the instructions, and whilst i got something playing very quickly, i later realised that i was in the direct connection mode which hooks up the device (my phone) and link directly, rather than via the network. Realising this wasn’t exactly what i wanted at the time as i was more keen to stream music from my nas, i started again reading the manual to make sure i got it right. After a brief scan of the manual, i used the wps feature of my router and the link to make it’s wireless connection, and it worked perfectly.
