Lenco L-3807 Professional Turntable Record Player – Good record player

So far i am really pleased with this turntable. I have only gave it 4 stars as i have only had this a day. So far i am really pleased with this turntable. I am actually ‘downsizing’ as i had a pro-ject carbon rpm1, it was too esoteric for me. I could never get it sounding right, and yearned for a simpler turntable. This is just the ticket, set up in 20 minutes, and already listening to lana del rey – lust for life album, and some electronic music afterwards, and all have sounded warm. The deck is pretty heavy, and looks the part. I am going to investigate further any other adjustments i can make (as the manual is pretty basic). Hopefully it will be 5 stars after a while.

As good as those twice the price. . If you can get it at £129, it’s a bargain. Direct drive with quartz lock, torque ok (1/4 turn start), dampened target light popup, pitch bend, remote start jack on back. Note, however, the turntable has hard-wired phono and earth cables and no usb or line out, so requires turntable preamp to get it to line level or a mixer / amp that allows direct connection of turntable. Nice solid bit of kit very similar to my soundlab dlp-1r belt drives it’s replacing. Only downside i can see is anti-skating doesn’t turn past 3g. Replaced the supplied cartridges also. Otherwise, very impressed at this price and easily as good as those similar ones in the the £200-£300 bracket.

It arrived quickly very pleased with assembly great sound didnt know light wasnt supplied so would advise purchasing this the flexible goose neck lamp. Here are the specifications for the Lenco L-3807 Professional Turntable Record Player:

  • Enter your model number
    to make sure this fits.
  • Direct drive
  • Quartz-Stabilised
  • Quickstart 0.4 seconds
  • External lamp connection
  • Stroboscope

Brilliant turntable easy to set up.

Good turntable let down by a poor manual. This was a replacement for the original one i ordered which went missing in transit before christmas. The company were excellent in sending another very quickly even once they’d checked with the carrier concerning the missing one so top marks to them. I’ve only just got round to setting this up due to building work going on round the house. The deck was very well packed and in pristine condition. It’s very solid feeling and was easy to set up in the most part but the manual is a bit sketchy. Whilst it tells you how to connect it to an amp, put the platter on the spindle, fit the lid etc. The most important thing is left out and that is the tracking weight for the cartridge. Without this the whole process grinds to a halt. So it was on to the internet where i found this out from a couple of helpful websites.

Great turntable but check spec first. . Great turntable but conflicting information on web. Unless there is another version of this model out there, my one is direct drive; no preamp, no usb and is nearer 450 mm width rather than 445 stated. As i wanted as the only spare input on my amp is the phono input. If you don’t have a phono stage on your amp you’ll need to buy a separate phono preamp. Even the lenco website helpline didn’t seem to know the correct output level on the turntable but superfii did – thanks.

Lenco turntable excellent, well up to my expectations. Lenco turntableexcellent , well up to my expectations.

This is a lovely turntable but it does not have a usb port and it does not record vinyl to digital formatif you want it to listen to vinyl, buy it. If you want to record from vinyl, don’t.

My technics turntable started to play up after nearly 40 years service. To find a replacement was difficult, i did not want a pre amp, did not want a usb connection, did not want a light weight piece of kit or spend more than £200. This absolutely fills my bill, easy to assemble, plays great, not lightweight, and sounds great.

I knew the product so was not fooled by the inaccurate listing which described it as ‘auto’ and ‘usb’ it is a superb direct drive t/t and as i bought the ‘seconds’ or ‘returns’ model they offered at £150-00 i consider i got a fantastic bargain. No scratches or faults at all.

Unfortunately i discovered after delivery my very expensive pioneer 7. 1 amp with a hundred inputs didn’t have a phono input so i needed to buy a pre-amp. Not a great problem, but worth checking first. Purchased this for nostalgia reasons only, and it highlights how bad records actually are as a format.

Good value but not fantastic. Lenco l-3807 turntableis this a good turntable for its price?. Over the last ten years there have been some pretty impressive entry level turntables appear on the market. Overall i think it’s good value but really depends what you want or what your expectations are. If this is your first turntable then it’s probably a good place to start. Unless you want to pay more for a stanton or reloop (direct drive). My short list of likes and dislikes:likes:classic design with lid looks very cool and tidy. Base is sturdy and plastic casing feels solid. Rubber turntable mat (nice feature).

      1. Delighted with this turntable. Solid & dependable, easy set-up, decent cartridge & headshell. All in all better than i expected for the price. I must add that there isn’t a usb port as described in the product information but i deliberately sought a turntable without one.

    1. It came well packed and was easy to assemble. I needed to replace my turntable and the reviews for this were positive, so i purchased it. It came well packed and was easy to assemble. Kashmir was used to try it and the sound was wonderful. I can recommend this product.
