Lenco L-3867 Turntable – The hardware is fine, but the free software that it uses takes

Works pretty well, but the tracking force is way too. Works pretty well, but the tracking force is way too low, and the stylus skips and jumps a lot. There is no way to adjust the tracking force, other than putting weights on top of the arm.

Great sound at a true bargain price. . Super turntable for the price. I purchased it to connect to creative desktop speakers with subwoofer and all that was required was female rca leads with 3. 5mm jack for speaker connection and the result for around £100 is excellent. The software to archive music is of no interest to me so i cannot comment on that, but as a fuss free unit to play records it gets top marks. A minor point to mention is , contrary to the question and answer statement that all the turntables delivered in this country are fitted with a standard u. K plug, mine arrived fitted with a continental two pin. Instead of returning it to amazon for exchange, i plugged it into a good quality u. K adapter fitted with a 13 amp fuse. If you find yourself in a similar situation , and just want to put a record on, make sure that you use a quality adapter. Do not use a shaver adapter as these are small, flimsy affairs, not intended for anything else.

Just what you need when vinyls are becoming more popular now, especially for the generation that can’t remember them the first time round. Here are the specifications for the Lenco L-3867 Turntable:

  • Enter your model number
    to make sure this fits.
  • Midi turntable
  • USB connection
  • Semi automatic
  • Belt drive
  • Audacity software included

What more could you want for this price?. Recording through usb doesn’t sound good at all but if like me you’re only using it for listening through speakers/headphones it’s great.

This is a fantastic record player. This is a fantastic record player. Looks great and sounds great. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because it comes with a two pin continental power plug rather than a uk 3 pin. Also the built in audio cables are extremely short. Other than that this is a great vinyl player.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Wavering pitch, slipping belt?

Was a little unsure about ordering as there were no reviews posted and the item was coming from germany, but already have a lenco mp3 player which is fine so took the plunge. Arrived when advised, well packaged and secure. Looks good, unlike some cheaper items i have seen. Worked well first time out of the box, and i am very happy with the results. It may not be top of the range, but to me seems excellent value for money. Easy to operate, and i am very pleased with it.

What a great turntable for the very reasonable price. The only problem was that it came with a two pin european plug. I couldn’t be bothered to return it so bought an adaptor plug for a fiver. Also had to get cable adaptor to connect the red and white rcas to my speakers. When you compare this to the similarly priced turntables, it is so much better. . Looks stylish, my lps, 12 inchers and singles sound great too.

Wavering pitch, slipping belt?. Great sound, but belt seems to be slipping, wavering pitch, i’ve ordered a new belt, here’s hoping.

  1. A good entry in to the world of vinyl. If you are only starting to get in to vinyl, this is a great turntable to buy. It’s cheap and sounds good, even through my similarly cheap amp and speakers.

I linked it up with my m-audio av32 desktop speakers (as it needs to be joined with speakers or no sound) and the whole thing works perfectly. 100% would reccommend this to anyone looking for a turntable that doesnt want to spend hundreds of pounds or buy a crosley. It’s also a good beginner’s record player/turntable as it’s easy to set up and has no complicated details yet looks good.

One glaring issue though is that it has a non uk plug fitted – fortunately i had a suitable. Delivered quickly and works well. One glaring issue though is that it has a non uk plug fitted – fortunately i had a suitable adapter.

Good entry point into record listening, but if you are going to be using it regularly and not just to rip records to your pc then i’d recommend something a bit better. Get a cork mat and the sound is improved, more refined and less dead sounding bass. The rca cable is very short so if you are going to be using rca you should definitely include a extension cable with your purchase. Mine has a fault where the tone arm will automatically return when it is moved over the record, this can be solved with a few anti clockwise spins of the platter before moving the tone arm.

    1. Something to get in a spin about. Ideal for me to digitise my old collection of vinyl records it works a treat and looks to be well made. The cd shipped with the turntable is ‘audacity’ which is free to download from the internet anyway and is ideal for cleaning up your recordings. This unit costs a bit more than other similar models on the market but i feel it’s worth it.

Good sound, nice design and easy to connect. I bought this turntable as i had a nostalgia for vinyls, also because most of the new releases are coming back in this formar too. I done a lot research before to decide to buy the lenco l-3867 consulting my vinyl geek friends and visit a variety of shops around london too, in most of the cases everyone will advise or recommend to you a turntable in region of 200 pounds plus the will advise you to buy some good speakers and a good amplifier for a total price of 500 pounds. Well if you like the ideas to play your old vinyls and buy new ones like me without going too anal about it this is the turntable for you. The lenco-3867 despite the plastic and light, look and feel it sounds good and it comes a preamp which means that can be connected to a micro stereo or an amplifier via aux without a phone input, which usually cost around 50 pounds. I have my lenco attached to a 16 years old panasonic micro system and it sounds just great a lot better than expected. I haven’t tried the usb yet as i bought the turntable to play vinyls.
