LG Electronics LG 65UK6500PLA 65-Inch UHD 4K HDR Smart LED TV – Great picture

Brilliant tv, looks great, great sound, obviously there are much much better out there but for the money, i am happy.

Great tv – easy to use and the remote control makes this purchase even better as it has a button for netflix and another for amazonaprime.

One off the best tvs i ever bought i love this.

Awesome and easy to use menu, love the way i can switch between live tv, netflix and gaming on my xbox all under the same button. Supports now tv and prime also all in one place. Am happy with the quality of the picture and sound. Had the toshiba for a week then sent it back as it kept freezing. This one was worth the extra 70gbp. Really was weary at first and was going to plunge for the samsung.

Very good instructions to set up tv. Had to alter colour on picture as it was a bit basic. Very happy with my purchase.

After a few hours the menu’s are incredibly easy to a navigate and the netflix and amazon buttons on the remote are a life saver. I found the colour to be a bit dark and even after trying to adjust it, it kept going back to the original setting. You should also double check your tv stand is wide enough and the tv’s legs are right at the edge of the tv.

Perfect picture and sound quality. Perfect for gaming because a great hdr+.

Love this tv just what we wanted. Easy to set up, almost plug in & play.

Superb new tv, bit with limited instructions i am still trying to sort out all options and facilities.

Very easy to use tv with a great picture, it was purchased for my 80yr old mum and she loves it.

Only flaws are remote for typing as despite the size (75 inch tv), the keyboard for searching for films and tv is tiny and the letters are configured oddly, not a qwerty keyboard layout. It is good the remote has button for amazon and seperation button for netflix. Picture quality is second to none in performance. The stand looks great on top of ikea furniture. I view the tv from about 20 feet away which i think is about right for a 75 inch screen. There is alot of internet functionality.

For the price brilliant tv very happy indeed easy to set up. I use it with shy q in the bedroom.

Dislike nothing, lg are the best tv’s, i have 6 in my house. Here are the specifications for the LG Electronics LG 65UK6500PLA 65-Inch UHD 4K HDR Smart LED TV:

I’m very pleased with the tv and service i got form amazon, picture quality is awesome , i have to say the user interface is extremely simple to use and easy to set up you can effortlessly switch between prime, netflix sky ect. We have also connected the tv to our alexa which was fine once we downloaded the app on our phone. What i have to mention is my first unit was faulty and amazon went the extra mile and had a replacement out to me before the faulty unit was picked up, this was the first time i have ever gone through the process of returning anything and like i said can’t believe how easy and quick it was to deal with the complaints team.

She loves the picture quality & ease of using alexa to control volume & channels.

Lovely tv great quality pictures. Realised you needed to buy a 4k ultimate hdm1 cable made a huge difference on picture quality very pleased. My only issue is i wish it had a central stand the feet at each end make it difficult to manage while setting up and they are flimsy. But saying that the tv it self is great.

Delivered quickly setup was easy.

After a couple of months of use, all the family really enjoy the tv. Excellent integration with netflix and amazon prime video. Good image and sound quality (but could be better). Freeview play is not working at all.

Very nice tv sound can be better but otherwise very nice.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Amazing!
  • Really good TV for living room
  • Great TV

Delighted with this purchase. Still getting used to all the features it has but feel it is a 5* product.

Takes too long to load each and every item u wanna watch. Partly coz of the internet but because of the tv too as we have another one that works fine.

Very quick to start and navigate round. Screen is clear and crisp with a little reflection, but not too bad. Sound is very good even for internal speakers. Check the package before accepting from delivery driver – first tv was smashed.

I love it, it has all the apps including nowtv, netflix and prime, no need for boxes of dongels.

The tv is great, it’s a nice picture and good quality. My biggest issue was with the stand – it was very difficult to put in place (very small screw-fastenings) the stand is also rather small and flimsy for the size of the tv.

Good picture great for sports and movies.

Very good tv with lots of good apps and good sound and picture quality.

And couldn’t have asked for more. But it’s not a smart remote with it, it’s a normal remote i had to buy the smart remotes separately.

Great picture quality and decent sound for inbuilt speakers.

Never owned a smart tvs before this is so good.

Easy to use ans easy to setup on the feet.

Update: after using the tv for a week, i have noticed the image burn getting worse. If i pause a film for just 2 minutes, bright areas of the screen get burned in and persist for any amount of time between 5 to 30 minutes. I do not know if this is a one off issue or a wider problem with lg panels, but i will definitely be seeking a return or replacement. Picture quality is very good, but definitely looks better in a darker room as the brightness can suffer somewhat when in a brighter room. For built in speakers, the sound quality is surprisingly good, if lacking a little bass. Hdr isn’t automatically enabled, so make sure you check the settings and enable ‘hdmi ultra hd deep colour’ (lg’s over complicated name for hdr). The user interface seems unnecessarily complicated (and slow. Despite lg’s boasting of “a fast powerful brain. “) at least compared to the tv this one is replacing. For picture settings, for example, you have to press the setting button which brings up a mini menu from the right of the screen, but from there you can only change presets. To adjust individual settings, you then have to scroll to the bottom of the menu to bring up the full settings menu. Lg appears to have just added unnecessary steps to what should be a simple process.

      1. Seen the adverts about alexa and how you can control the tv with alexa. I had the 2017 version of this tv which doesn’t have alexa integration. I wanted alexa to control my tv as she controls everything else in my home, so i sold my 2017 tv and bought this 2018 model. Upon setting it up (which was not straight forward), i started using the alexa controls. The voice commands don’t always work, but the one that really annoyed me is that once you turn the tv off, you can’t turn it back on with alexa. I thought this was a problem with the tv and contacted lg, they got back in touch advising that none of their tvs able to switch on the tv with alexa, as the wireless adapter is not powered up in standby mode. My intention was to get rid of the remote or to be able to stop digging down the sides of the sofa. This obviously will not be the case and i spent £160 upgrading my tv for this feature alone. Furthermore, lg were rude and said they never advertised the ability to turn on the tv with alexa.

    1. So this tv is pretty nice, looks great in 4k and has a decent price. One of the hdmi ports on the back of the tv has stopped working meaning i’m down to 3 of 4. Thankfully i only need 3 but i hope this is not a sign of things to come. A lot of reviews seem to suggest the tv is prone to faults so i’m gonna pay close attention to mine.

    1. Terrible loud noise had no choice but to return the item. Unusable even at a max distance. Picture quality ok for this price point but trying to watch a movie with a terribly loud noise being emitted from from the projector makes it a frustrating and unenjoyable experience even having sound at a loud volume. Cannot understand the positive reviews, perplexing.

    1. Had the 43″ prior to this one and it was fantastic. Thought i’d upgrade to the 50″. Tried all the picture settings but after 6 weeks still can’t get the picture quality (focus/contrast) right. Would not recommend this tv.

You spend a decent amount of money on a tv only to find they supply 2 of the same feet supports meaning you can’t have the tv set up for the weekend. Then you find out the manufacturer support isn’t around to complain to. 😡 how hard is it to put the right items in a box.
