LG Electronics LG OLED65B7V 65 inch Premium 4K Ultra HD HDR Smart OLED TV – Amazing image quality

I have only had mine for a small though, but i can already say without having hesitation that this tv has produced the most outstanding visuals i have at any time observed on a display of any dimension, irrespective of whether in the cinema or at residence. It is not simply just a make a difference of resolution, which is almost certainly the the very least critical variable in generating a distinction, but the contrast, saturation and remarkable color gamut when viewing correct hdr material. Often a person basically receives the sensation that a single is only certainly looking at the globe obviously for the 1st time, that is just how insanely excellent the picture high quality can be. As oled selling prices continue their gradual once-a-year decrease, i foresee a time in the near long run when it will develop into tricky to justify getting just about anything else except just one is on a severely constrained price range.

Oled is the to start with time that tvs have surpassed plasma. Soon after decades of viewing blotchy unpleasant led screens all about the area (basically liquid crystal display – none of them are anything to do with led), i have at last changed my outdated panasonic plasma. If you do get it, make certain you adjust the picture method to cinema (or one particular of the skilled modes). The default is blue and just mistaken. Also if you use it with a first rate exterior resource (like sky q), make certain you empower ten bit colour manner on the hdmi port its connected to). There is not a huge quantity of 4k material around, and even less hdr / dolbyvision which is the additional spectacular action up. But even uprated hd seems to be great on this display.

Dear but a fantastic high-quality display screen. The colours are incredible and placing up the tv is incredibly quick. Normally takes some receiving employed to with some of the essential options concealed away in various menus but at the time its established up its a beautiful wanting piece of package. I have some worries about burn off in but will have to see how that goes, primarily applying it for viewing films and reveals alternatively than gaming so it should not be much of a risk issue anyway. Here are the specifications for the LG Electronics LG OLED65B7V 65 inch Premium 4K Ultra HD HDR Smart OLED TV:

I acquired this tv following bagging a lot of challenges with sony led sets. Was finding unwell of the concerns they have which ate inerrant in the tech. This is a breath of fresh new air. Right after 20 of so garbage tvs i’m last but not least there with this onesuperb worth too. Attractive pop as i come across professional reviewers a little bit dull. Reviews from purchasers :

  • Excellent TV apart from a few niggles
  • Simply the best!
  • Amazing T.V. Incredible picture

An wonderful 4k tv, so pleased i expended the more and got this a single.

We have the oled55e7n model of this tv, with the developed-in seem bar at the base of the monitor. Nonetheless apart from that, it really is equivalent to the b7v. We bought it to replace our 6 calendar year old 50′ panasonic tx-p50vt30b plasma tv which experienced been the state of the art when we acquired it. I’d recommend you to invest in the b7v instead and invest the difference on a independent sound bar as despite the fact that it is all right, it is really not fantastic ample to be truly worth the further £400 or so. The image of this tv with a 4k or even upscaled hd supply is the finest i’ve at any time noticed. You can go through the other testimonials for far more facts about all the features and specifications. You can enjoy it at an oblique angle and it truly is even now excellent. Regular led sets are not able to deal with this. It’s value noting that with an sd source (eg your regional regional information station), the photo is alright but absolutely nothing specific as the tv is obtaining to dramatically upscale the source and there are also lots of pixels on the screen to fill, so it appears to be like somewhat fuzzy. One particular feature i uncovered genuinely excellent is that with a little bit of witchcraft (and the odd bit of button pressing.

This is the ideal photograph i have observed so far on a property tv fantastic amazing excellent.

I have often desired an oled tv, however the value was a little steep for me, so i shopped close to thoroughly in advance of settling for 2nd greatest. I opted for a 55′ samsung qled tv, it had a lovely photo and was wonderful for gaming. Nonetheless the black amounts and viewing angles were being inadequate, two points that seriously make a difference to me. I was happy ample with the tv but it formulated dead pixels immediately after just three weeks, so i returned it for a sony xe9005. This was yet another medium to large close tv, having said that the android os is dreadful, the recreation mode did not operate thoroughly, causing skipped frames and stuttering (established to recreation mode with all graphic processing functions turned off) and the backlight was also faulty, it pulsed like a coronary heart beat. These ended up the only other selections for me in my spending budget and i had been exceptionally unlucky, but i didn’t want to hazard finding the very same established again in circumstance they had the exact faults. I returned the sony and considered screw it, i am going to commit that little bit further and go for the oled like i originally wanted to. I consider it was just ‘meant to be’. I need to have just long gone for it in the 1st area as it really does blow the other two tvs out of the drinking water.

Superb image and sound.

Image top quality is unbelievable, you can see each depth. Uncomplicated to set up, and established up. I can’t give this any extra praise.

Wonderful picture and sound. Main dilemma with it is that they make it not possible to connect to wirelessly stream from other products – they want you to purchase an lg cellphone as effectively. For which they can severely go and fudge on their own. I compensated 4 grand for this very last yr and my 800 quid telly connects to everything.

Beautiful image but marginally flaky application (eg lost all the hd channels so experienced to rescan). Terrific interface and adore the point and click remote.

To get the most out of it you need to have to be capable to watch hd or 4k program’s. Anything in hd this sort of as blue earth or nat geo hd appear breathtaking. Also upgraded my netflix to get hd/4k and it was worth the more £3. Amazon primary in 4k this kind of as the grand tour appear great. Its not low-cost but you will be happy you acquired it.

Outstanding all round working experience: deep and wealthy colours, sharp as a diamond and superbly well balanced colours. Effortless to set up and navigate command procedure. This tv punches over its body weight and provides good value for funds.

Anything i study about this tv having a amazing picture is real. The up-scaling of a 1080p broadcast should be witnessed to be thought. Hated the magic controller at initial, but now i have got used to it it is really not as well bad. Interestingly the controller from our previous lg 47′ led tv also works with this tv, which will make the environment up a lot easier.

Very first off, this is a 2017 model. I paid £1999 for a 65 inch moreover a wall bracket. Wherever i appear from that’s a ton for a telly. But the potential of the photo leaves any other none oled screen in its wake. I say prospective as feeding it a typical definition picture will fail to illustrate what this package is able of. Fundamental 1080p seems to be ok but give it some 4k hdr demos from youtube or one particular of the shows ( at the moment limited alternative ) from netflix and your jaw will drop. The colors pop the black is genuinely black. In contrast to my outdated set ( a samsung 65 “ curved ) the audio is truly superior but plainly it can’t contend with a separate audio amp and speakers. It has dedicated netflix and primary buttons as well as you can allocate any of the numerical keys one – 9 as a quick lower to a different aspect. At the time assigned you get in touch with up the function by keeping the important down for a handful of seconds.

Upgraded my existing lg 3d tv to this product. Extremely straightforward to set up and set up. Like the crafted in wifi and amazon button on the remote. With 4k media or uhd 4k streaming the photo usually takes your breath away. Blue plant two can make you experience definitely immersed in the experience. Greatest quality construction with an alloy cast and machined stand instead than plastic. The 6 nations rugby seems astounding. Just can’t propose this tv very adequate.

Is just like searching by a window. So very clear and which is just in 3k just can’t wait to watch in 4k. The depth is amazing, the sharpness of the color is outstanding, no ghosting when viewing high speed athletics. Lightweight, appears to be like more compact than our previously more compact screened t. Simply because there is not a substantial frame all-around the screen.

Exceptional tv, valuable suggestions: unboxing and setting up it is incredibly complicated to do it alone, but not difficult, if you are obtaining complications with hdr make absolutely sure that hdmi ultra hd selection is on (tv common settings).

Can not fault the photograph – finest i have ever viewed. On the other hand, once in a while, with amazon key, i only get the surround seem (what should arrive out of rear speakers) from the tv. If i alter to one more video stream, it usually corrects itself. Also, the ‘all 4’ and itv hub are impossible to log in to due to the fact the magic pointer does not seem with these applications. I am guaranteed this will be corrected with a upcoming firmware/application update. Aside from these little niggles, it is a excellent tv. I would have presented it 5 stars had i not seasoned these challenges. Update: i have considering the fact that learned that navigating the all4 and itv hub application need the use of the ‘cursor ring’ buttons and not the magic pointer, so , all is great with individuals apps now.

  1. Had this tv for a few weeks now, so far really happy with the quality of this tv, 1080p content usually looks just as good as 4k, brightness is good and the tv doesn’t feel too big while watching it just from a few meters away. Apps on the tv are also good, i also have a fire tv but now only use it to watch crunchyroll, all other apps i need are already on this tv.

    1. Coming from an older non 4k tv (samsung 48″) i was expecting a great tv seeing all the top rated awards and reviews it has but i was blown away by the picture quality. 4k games from the xbox x are amazing. Hdr is fantastic and the picture is so sharp and immersive. Blacks and colours are vivid. However, i would recommend adjusting the out of box colours as they are too over saturated especially the reds and yellows. I used sites like avforums and rltings to get a mixture of best settings. Its big tv but it does not look that much bigger than our previous tv due to the ridiculous thin bezel and frame. ** just a tip if you get issues setting up your gaming console or other devices and it keeps loosing inputs then change the 4k cable. I had a 4k existing working cable but for some reason the lg didn’t like it and after a while it keep loosing inputs and saying it was not detected when using the xbox x.

This replaced a top of the range, if slightly aged, 50″ plasma. This was the top reviewed tv set in its class according to the homework i’d done before buying. Funnily enough i wasn’t massively impressed when i saw a demo model in the john lewis store (the demo images looked great but then they switched it to a broadcast source there were a number of odd effects i could see when close to the screen) but once i’d bought one, installed the latest firmware, set it up and adjusted the picture settings it it has been faultless. I’d really recommend changing the colour settings in line with the recommendations on the avforum website. Mine is set to the picture mode “isf bright room” and adjusted in line with their recommendations. I actually don’t have any 4k sources, all my tv is watched either over satellite, on bluray or on amazon/netflix. Images are great, motion is handled well and the overall picture quality is fantastic. It even does a pretty good job with sd images. The tv itself looks very smart. All usual the catch up/on demand apps work fine and its easy to install new ones.

I recieved this as a wedding present, and it is simply breathtaking. I dont have anything that is 4k so i upgraded my netflix to be 4k and even streaming, it is absolutely insane to look at. The remote is great, the software is great. But its all about the picture quality which is simply stunning.

We bought ours in jan 2018 and just fell in love with it. Such a big luxury tv for us and most def way pasts our initial 500 quid budget. The other half saw it and gave me that look, i mean how could you disagree with “the look”. Anyway, after being utterly confused by the million options, which can only be a good thing, i settled on a refined tweak on one of the preset screen types. It looks and sounds amazing. . We had a mysterious screen burn in ours last month, (june 2018), so basically 6 months in and we have a screen issue. Despite a ton of common sense and care, not letting hard and stark colour images or contrasts to stay on the screen ,we dont pause the tv or let a game dwell, we had this screen burn. It was a very light opaque 10x 10 inch square. Some colours would show this up really clearly, like a footie pitch green or burning orange colours.

  12. I’ve only had mine for a short while, but i can already say without hesitation that this tv has produced the most incredible images i have ever seen on a screen of any size, whether in the cinema or at home. It isn’t simply a matter of resolution, which is probably the least important factor in making a difference, but the contrast, saturation and incredible colour gamut when viewing true hdr content. Sometimes one actually gets the feeling that one is only truly seeing the world clearly for the first time, that’s just how insanely good the image quality can be. As oled prices continue their gradual annual decline, i foresee a time in the near future when it will become difficult to justify buying anything else unless one is on a severely constrained budget.

      1. I’ve had a panasonic plasma and have resisted an lcd tv as i find the plasma so much richer and more life-like than any lcd tvs i’ve seen. This lg oled is really a step above – delivering amazingly clear and deep images, with much better brightness than my old plasma. The tv menus are more of a faff but are still much better than most other manufacturers’ clunky and over-complicated tv menus nowadays (looking at you in particular, sony). Can’t recommend this tv enough – brilliant picture, all the necessary connections, and looks great in the living room with almost borderless frame.

Beautiful picture and sound. Major problem with it is that they make it impossible to connect to wirelessly stream from other devices – they want you to buy an lg phone as well. For which they can seriously go and fudge themselves. I paid four grand for this last year and my 800 quid telly connects to everything.

I’m sure this will be corrected with a future firmware/software update. Apart from these little niggles, it is a fantastic tv. I would have given it 5 stars had i not experienced these problems. Update: i have since discovered that navigating the all4 and itv hub app require the use of the ‘cursor ring’ buttons and not the magic pointer, so , all is good with those apps now.
  20. Stunning picture but slightly flaky software (eg lost all the hd channels so had to rescan). Great interface and love the point and click remote.

Upgraded my existing lg 3d tv to this model. Very easy to install and setup. Like the built in wifi and amazon button on the remote. With 4k media or uhd 4k streaming the picture takes your breath away. Blue plant 2 makes you feel really immersed in the experience. Highest quality construction with an alloy cast and machined stand rather than plastic. The six nations rugby looks amazing. Can’t recommend this tv highly enough.

      1. I have always wanted an oled tv, however the price was a little steep for me, so i shopped around extensively before settling for second best. I opted for a 55″ samsung qled tv, it had a lovely picture and was great for gaming. However the black levels and viewing angles were poor, 2 things that really matter to me. I was happy enough with the tv but it developed dead pixels after just 3 weeks, so i returned it for a sony xe9005. This was another medium to high end tv, however the android os is dreadful, the game mode didn’t work properly, causing skipped frames and stuttering (set to game mode with all image processing features turned off) and the backlight was also faulty, it pulsed like a heart beat. These were the only other options for me in my budget and i had been exceptionally unlucky, but i didn’t want to risk getting the same set again in case they had the same faults. I returned the sony and thought screw it, i’ll spend that bit extra and go for the oled like i originally wanted to. I think it was just ‘meant to be’. I should have just gone for it in the first place as it really does blow the other two tvs out of the water.

    1. To get the most out of it you need to be able to watch hd or 4k program’s. Anything in hd such as blue planet or nat geo hd look stunning. Also upgraded my netflix to get hd/4k and it was worth the extra £3. Amazon prime in 4k such as the grand tour look fantastic. Its not cheap but you will be glad you bought it.

No complaints about the tv itself, it’s phenomenal. The remote on the other hand doesn’t feel premium, it’s cheap and plasticy, creaks while being used, and there’s no lights on the buttons for viewing in the dark, in fact it’s the same magic remote i got with a cheaper 40″ led model.

  27. As many people have said the picture on this tv is staggeringly good. I had a 4 year old 4k set but it does not come close to this one in terms of definition. If you want to see something truly spectacular that fully justifies my comments catch the blue planet in uhd on bbc i player (which is included as an app on the set) while it is still available.

So i have this tv and i found picture settings “oled55b7v best tv picture settings” (in google) they made a big difference to the picture, only think i changed was the oled light as i like it a little brighter than these settings give. Picture is out of this world when watching 4k hdr and i do love this tv and would recommend it to anyone. I was also surprised by the sound on the tv. For such a thin the tv the sound if good. Now i do use a sound system but i was still surprised. The use of the tv is easy, bad points (if you want to nit pick)the power cable is connected to the tv and is very short. The cable can be removed but you have to take of a cover off and it has a strange connection to the tv so would not be able to replace the power cable for a longer unless lg supply one (which they don’t). This means i need to run a power extension code (as don’t want to cut the power cable and invalidate any warranty). Also you may find this model b7 with this stand make the tv lean back a slit bit(1-2cm) where the c7 is straight not a big issue for me as the tv is going to be wall mounted. Some apps do not support the magic remote mouse cursor (mainly the catch up apps, bbc, ch5 itv hub and so on) so have to user the arrow keys.
