Numark TTUSB 3-Speed DJ Turntable : Easy peasy dusty cover me.

My daughter had been after a good record player for a while,(at 21 she likes the sound),and asked around for good manufacturers. This has lived up to it’s reputation and gives good performance when linked up to her ipod speakers. One trip to a music shop to get the right cable and she has been thoroughly enjoying her record collection.

Easy peasy dusty cover me. . Within half an hour i’d recorded the first vinyl single to mp3. The software is a freebie that you can update from the internet. That’s not a criticism at all. It’s damn fine software and better than some of the stuff people are charging for. No, the only criticism is the lack of lid/cover for which it loses a star.

Usb levels too low for some recording software. This is a ‘plastic’ piece of equipment, not really sure if it’s worth the money. However, it does what it says on the box. Plug into your pc via usb and record your vinyl. One thing to look out for though is that you cannot adjust the input levels coming through the usb audio codec. This was a big problem for me when recording some classical lp’s. The level was too low and the recording software thought there was no audio feed. For this reason alone you may want to think about using a turntable in conjunction with a pre-amp that plugs in to your sound card. You’ll have a lot more control over the input levels then. The supplied ez vinyl software is very basic and one that had trouble recognising the low levels.

Haven’t used the product after buying it several years ago, because, i discovered and downloaded spotify,,,,, all my albums are on there, so, no need for vinyl any more,,,.

After trying to record my vinyl collection using leads from my stereo to my computer (and not having a lot of success), i saw an advert for this and bought it. It was one of the best purchases i’ve ever made. Just plug it into a usb port, click on the recording software that comes with it, and turn the turntable on. Excellent results that can be saved to several different formats. With a good set of speakers you could do away with the stereo system and just use your computer.

Numark TTUSB 3-Speed DJ Turntable with Adjustable Pitch and Anti-Skate Controls and USB Audio Interface for Vinyl Conversion : User friendly, but where is the dust cover?. I’ve had this for a few years now and i really like it. It is simple to use and comes with software that is both good, and free, so there are no problems with the software being out of date. I have a rather large vinyl collection, both inherited from my parents and a combination of old and new of my own. I love the look and feel of vinyl, but at the risk of annoying all the vinyl purists out there, i don’t think it necessarily has better audio quality. At the very least you need both a very good player and excellent speakers to hear the difference between a high quality audio file and a record. The quality that this transfers over to my computer gives me lossless files that hold a very high standard, and i can chose to edit out most cracks and pops. It isn’t very expensive, which i appreciated as i was 16 at the time of purchase, and most certainly worth the price. The only real criticism i have is that it doesn’t come with a dust cover, which everyone really should have, and it isn’t sold at a lot of the places that sell the turntable itself. Amazon lists the dust cover at 179 pounds, i’m not sure what that is about, i bought mine for 20-odd i think, and i suggest everyone get one to avoid getting it all over your vinyl collection.

Nice usb turn table, easy to use and easy to record from. Doesn’t come with a cover so beware of dust.

Have to agree with a previous reviewer, god knows how someone managed to break the needle and usb cable in 20 minutes of buying it. The needle is no different than any other you would find on a record player and the usb cable the same as the one you would have to connect your printer. The whole thing took about 5 minutes to set up, it does come complete with cables to plug into the back of your stereo but i couldn’t get a very good output from my hifi system (probably works better with a stack system) plugging it into the computer though was no problem. Simply insert the cd that comes with the record player into your computer to download the software you need, plug in the usb cable and that’s about it. The sound quality i have found has been excellent and you don’t even need decent speakers for your computer (mine are from asda)very easy to record onto a blank cd and the playback i have found on a half decent system is great. Only problem i have with this (and why i only give it 4 stars) is that it comes with no dust cover.

I havent yet set up this turntable as it is a present but the 5 stars are for the fact that when l ordered it said it would be dispatched before 24 dec and it came the next day, by standard post, fantastic.

This deck is like using my old deck in size. The software works incredibly well and is very easy to use.

The software could be better though.

Great price, amazing product.

Five stars for ease of set up, quietness in operation, flexibility in connectivity. Preamble: for some reason, amazon are posting reviews of the numark tt usb turntable into the numark tt250 turntable as well. They are different products: the former is belt drive and the latter is direct drive. For the avoidance of doubt, this review is of the ttusb belt-drive turntable. Back in my university days i had hundreds of vinyl lps and a lot of them have been rebought as cds. Nevertheless, there are many happy memories stored in boxes which i haven’t been able to play, till now. This turntable, bought for me as a present, gives me access to many, many memories and it is a great asset. It isn’t a hi-fi, direct drive, up-market piece of kit. It is, instead a reasonably well-made, easy-to-use and functional turntable, designed to enable people like me to listen to vinyl recordings either through the two phono plugs into a hifi unit or, as in my case, through a usb plug into a pc.

  1. A firmer rubber mat would give more clarity to the sound. There is no detectable rumble even at high volume making it worth replacing the cartridge with a better one if you use this deck primarily for classical music.

Numark, you need to do this with a dust cover. Selling it separately for £30 is not acceptable.

Quality turntable both for archiving and listening. This is a great turntable, i use it both for converting my vinyl collection to mp3 and for day to day listening of records. Very easy to set up via usb – i simply plug it into my macbook, install audacity (available to download for free), and you’re ready to go. Digitising vinyl takes time and patience – if you want to do it properly, you need to cut out the gaps between tracks in audacity and tag the files properly when saving them. But this turntable keep frustrations to a minimum with it’s nice big play/stop buttons and easy to lift and control needle/stylus. Only minor negatives are lack of cover and for some reason they decided to put the gain level control at the back underneath, making it almost inaccessible. But i find i never really need to change the level anyway – this can all be adjusted from audacity or the sound input settings on your computer.

Everything seems to work well – unlike some of the reviews i read, i didn’t have to download any special software, only use the numark software on a cd-rom that they supplied. It was reasonably easy to use, and the results are very acceptable. The only big drawback is the lack of a lid that would protect it from dust, i can’t think why they didn’t think to include one.

Numark ttusb turntable (record deck). Had this item for over a year now and use it all the time to transfer my record collection onto cd first, then onto my computer. I do cd first because if i use cdrw then any mistakes i make i can delete and reuse over and over again. Then it goes onto my computer into itunes to transfer onto apple ipod/ipad. Great product have had no problems with it, would suggest you also buy the dust cover for it.

Put the needle on the record – if it lasts. Got this for christmas, looking forward to playing classic house tracks from the 90’s. Needle broke after four tracks. It basically just disintegrated into two bits. Managed to get this for under £49. 95 from richer sounds so can’t really complain. Build is plasticy and feels like barbie’s first deckthe slip mat is so thin it’s like a hanky shared between a bunch of low paid chinese workersthe needle breaks in under 20 minutesbut it works out the box, software is easy to use and with a mac just put the record on, hit record and boom – those classic toons are in my itunes. It’s cheap and nasty but for under £50 can’t complain. Just need to buy a lid and pay some degree student £3 per hour to digitize my 2000 pieces of vinyl.
