Philips 24PFT5603/05 24-Inch Full HD LED TV, Fine for a small room.

There are not lots of 24′ full hd tvs out there so this is welcome. Out of the box the image high quality did not look at very well with my 21′ sony but there are a pile of options to modify and right after adjustment photo good quality is rather appropriate. When compared with the sony the programme information disappoints starting with the remote guide button not currently being clearly differentiated from other buttons even however its probably the most usually made use of. Particularly disappointing that the manual overview doesn’t show data about the picked programme. I could go on, you should not get me commenced on the offered documentation, specifically the program update guidelines. I have the tv wall mounted and can choose my angle but i agree with the other comment about the ‘lean-back’ if employing the (mounted) ft. ‘lean-back’ appears to be to be a phillips issue and would not match everyone. A good feature that not all tvs i thought of had, a future programme can be reserved and the tv switched off.

This philips 24 inch tv is light, compact and on the scaled-down aspect, so best suited as a second television for the kitchen area, a bed room or review. I observed it difficult to screw the toes in spot, which remaining me worried about its steadiness, primarily as the electrical power guide was shorter than i would have favored. The photo good quality was superior, but the seem was fairly tinny, regardless of sound selections like ‘news’ and ‘music’ which appear to have been created to enchantment to diverse varieties of viewers, but in reality designed minimal difference. I was unable to exam the freeview purpose as i had to use my existing sky box to entry the usual assortment of channels. As the tv is white in color, it may be a lot less obtrusive in distinct elements of the home compared with a traditional black solution. For the rate, i think this would be a acceptable next or 3rd tv, but i would somewhat spend the additional for larger, clever television for my dwelling place.

Lovely tv,specifically what i wished.

Comments from buyers

“Eventually a good wall mounted TV, Great picture and sound for small tv, Works well, good picture. Bad HDMI & aerial port location.”

It is really usually excellent to have a spare tv in the property just in situation one more breaks down and this will fit that objective and it will also do the job as a servicable laptop watch which is an extra reward.

Wanted to bend, drill and hammer my tv wall bracket make it fit this tv. Thanks hdmi and aerial sockets being quite considerably where the bracket is meant to go. Not wonderful for a flush mounted wall end but tv looks to do the job perfectly.

This modern and classy television from phillips appears smaller in the world of 65’+ screens but was actually amazingly even larger than i predicted, but the white plastic surround would make it appear far much less dominating in the place than a black surround and as this kind of is a good choice for a smaller sized space irrespective of whether in the kitchen area or a bed room, or for a university student accommodation without the need of compromising on high-quality of vision. The built-in freeview is effective by way of terrestrial/aerial antennae cable so you wouldn’t have to stress about a university student if they just want a fireplace stick/chromecast but if you want to hook up a settop box or more there is a array of connectivity other than aerial such as usb, ethernet, hdmi, scart and a memory card. This is great for situations exactly where you may just be viewing streaming services say netflix/amazon prime and actively playing game titles instead than observing are living tv. We connected this up to regular aerial to examine the basic freeview picture and on hd channels it is crystal clear ideal, like you could arrive at in and contact sensible, but the standard definition channels ended up a minor tender concentration, some a lot more than other individuals ranging from a bit delicate to like an aging starlet in a tv motion picture and occasional pixelation but this is almost certainly much more due to the signal excellent than the tv by itself. Plugging in an apple tv or usb based tv adhere is straightforward even if the telly is wall mounted as the usb entry is available from the aspect rather than from the rear and the image was attractive. I can’t give specialized know how of how this telly perhaps outstanding or inferior to other individuals, i am speaking from a user standpoint, it is a excellent compact telly for limited areas that won’t compromise on top quality of image (based on the input resource) so you never have to pick a monster of a telly for your place just to get a excellent impression and the white surround will help it mix a little more into neutral backgrounds. As these it can be a fantastic selection for kitchens, dens/more mature playrooms, bedrooms (i know not everyone likes this but bear with) or pupil/home renting conditions, the latter is excellent since you will find a headphone jack but no wifi/bluetooth which would’ve been a clincher as a terrific telly for the latter conditions.

Fantastic picture and on the lookout tv for kitchen. If wall mounting vesa mounts are likely to obscure hdmi , aerial and other folks if not thorough. Phillips need to have move them even further away from mounting points. Best information is to go for a smaller mount rather than 1 that supports a lot of tv measurements as most probably will block ports.

Only concern is possibly it’s a little bit way too leaned back again but i’ve obtained applied to it. Looks crystal clear and great audio and seems to be very thoroughly clean in my space in white.

  1. Needed to bend, drill and hammer my tv wall bracket make it fit this tv. Due hdmi and aerial sockets being pretty much where the bracket is supposed to go. Not great for a flush mounted wall finish but tv seems to work well.

Great picture and looking tv for kitchen. If wall mounting vesa mounts are likely to obscure hdmi , aerial and others if not careful. Phillips should have move them further away from mounting points. Best advice is to go for a smaller mount rather than one that supports many tv sizes as most likely will block ports.

    1. It’s always good to have a spare tv in the house just in case another breaks down and this will suit that purpose and it will also work as a servicable pc monitor which is an added bonus.

This philips 24 inch tv is light, compact and on the smaller side, so best suited as a second television for the kitchen, a bedroom or study. I found it difficult to screw the feet in place, which left me worried about its stability, especially as the power lead was shorter than i would have liked. The picture quality was good, but the sound was rather tinny, despite sound options like ‘news’ and ‘music’ which seem to have been developed to appeal to different types of viewers, but in reality made little difference. I was unable to test the freeview function as i had to use my existing sky box to access the usual range of channels. As the tv is white in colour, it might be less obtrusive in different parts of the house compared with a traditional black product. For the price, i think this would be a reasonable second or third tv, but i would rather pay the extra for larger, smart television for my living room.
