Q ACOUSTICS Q Acoustics 3010 Compact Bookshelf Speaker – Gloss : high end speakers very reasonable price

Great speakers for computer setup. Using with a laptop and topping vx2 dac / amp. Using wav fiels ripped from cd and usb connection, the sound quality is crisp and clean. Nice balance of sound and able to deliver more volume than my smallish room will allow.

On the positive side, sound is very clean and not overly bright but unfortunately low and low mid range is virtually non existent. I can honestly only recommend these speakers for use as rear surrounds. They’re not really up to the job of main left and right in a medium to large sized room. Overall i am rather disappointed and wish i had gone for the 3020s.

Great speakers but what a feet. Having had many decent speakers over decades, which my wife hated due to obtrusive size, i finally gave in to some small bookshelf speakers that came with a marantz hi-fi and have regretted it ever since. Chose these on basis of size and reviews of earlier models. Whilst not the deepest base, overall they are clear and mid-range and treble excellent. I don’t see how you could make better speakers any smaller?. Only one small grumble, they are provided with 8 little rubber feet which are inserted into the holes provided for the speaker stands in the event you are using them on bookshelves. I found it almost impossible to push these in the holes. I managed to get a couple half-in but mainly they just fall out. I even put them in the fridge for a day to make them harder rather than just bend – didn’t work – still too bendy. In the end i got a stanley knife with a new blade and shaved the edges off the feet to make them very slightly pointed, they then screwed in fine.

Awesome, loud and crispy clear. The amp will reveal loud and clear bass hidden behind crystal clear medium and ever so slightly slightly too high highs.

Great speakers for the price. Purchased as wanted to reduce size of my old speakers in my very small office. Great sound and they look great. Most reviews say bass is great but i feel it’s a little mid range for me. Put small foam pads in baffle hole and as they were against the wall and are great. Was going to buy wall brackets but at nearly £40 a pair to expensive. Would have given 5 stars but as other reviewers say, rubber feet are a pain to get in. You need to screw them in slowly not just push them in,i did have one of the pins on the feet break off so a touch off double sided tape sorted that. Thinking of buying the 3020’s for sitting room.

Incredible quality for the price, ideal for a small room. I’ve got a pair of these for desktop use. They’re either side of a couple of 27′ screens so maybe arm widths apart and maybe 40cm in front of me on a fairly sturdy ikea desk and they sound great. I’m using a topping vx1 2x25w hi-fi power stereo subwoofer amplifier 24bit/96khz digital usb dac headphone amp to drive them and some amazon basic speaker wire and some 20 year old banana plugs i had lying around so nothing exotic. I predominantly listen to music or podcasts the odd film and they’ll easily dominate a small room. The sound is well focussed, there’s enough low end for me and vocals are impressively clear considering my not ideal configuration. I’d say for a home office or bedroom they’d be ideal paired up with a small amp or maybe to breathe life into and older amp. For around £120 the sound is really impressive particularly when i think what that money would have got you 20 years ago when those banana plugs of mine were new. The speakers themselves look great; cabinets are well finished and nicely designed lines.

I consider them good value-i use them with an onkyo amp and cambridge. A solid pair of speakers which fit well in a small space. Well defined bass with a sprightly treble which should appeal to many. I consider them good value-i use them with an onkyo amp and cambridge cd.

Insanely cheap for it’s premium build quality & sounding. A perfect choice for small spaces. An ideal pick for those who into jazz or electronica. Still gives a great punch for rock or metal genre. Best describes as a compact speakers that’s doesn’t screams but crisps.

As good a sound quality as can be had by speakers of this genre.

I bought these as a short term fix as i have no space for my tannoy dc’s. Paired with audiolab q dac and m-pwr these positively shine. Fantastic detail and strong clear bass. May we leave the tannoy’s boxed up.

Awesome, loud and crispy clear. The amp will reveal loud and clear bass hidden behind crystal clear medium and ever so slightly slightly too high highs.

As l & r speakers these are crystal. I have always used small lifestyle speakers for my receiver, this is the 1st time i have tried something larger & i cannot believe the difference, just amazing. As l & r speakers these are crystal clear & just right for the small room i have set up for my media needs.

    1. The speaker that delivers. . After a week researching speakers that suited my need, i chose these as they are compact, really well constructed and not overly priced. I don’t want powerful speakers anymore, just one that is a good all round sounding speaker that delivers. You can go on forever reading about the good and the bad but these are top notch and will sound well on any system.

  3. Great sounding & looking speakers. . The balance between high, middle & bass is spot on. They are well made & finished to a high standard. I use mine connected to a brennan b2 & are ideal for it. They are larger than i expected. If these are classed as compact & i would like to see what they would call large. I can highly reccomend them. You well not get a better set of speakers unless you pay much more. The sizes very from web site to web site, so the actual size is 150mm wide, 235mm high & 200mm deep. Update if you use them close to a wall, use the supplied foam bungs in the rear ports. This gives a much crisper & less boomy base.

Good quality little speakers. Would of given five stars except one of the speakers has a 1 cm mark on the top of the cabinet.

Powerful and refined – why spend more?. A clear evolution from the 2010s – i own both – the 3010s belie their modest price tag with expressive, dynamic and clear performance. Paired with a denon pma520ae amp and audio technica turntable (so, nothing budget-blowing) they sound superb, revealing previously unheard depths and richness in old favourites. Match with some decent qed cable to finish the job off – then sit back and rediscover some vinyl.
