After a few days with this tv i am very impressed. Setup was simple, i attached my sky q box to hdmi 1 and it recognised it and integrated it with it’s own smart tv hub, meaning i can control everything from the samsung remote. Launching apps such as netflix is very fast compared to my samsung f8000.
Amazing tv features and beautiful 4k quality.
Great set, value for money is awesome. Not close to a oled in terms of black picture quality and there is some light leak out of the box, but overall for the money it is perfect for casual netflixing and gaming on an xbox. Will keep for as long as it runs, but going oled next.
One of the best budget smart 4k tvs you can get right now, brilliant for gaming even without game mode there is little input lag. I got this for my xbox one x, there is a little light bleed from corner but it doesn’t bother me, very nice build quality, screw’s were difficult to screw in but it’s very secure, the tv does not swivel or tilt. The latest update had to be downloaded manually becuase of congestion when rolling out the updates (it will say the latest version but it’s not)motion blur is not a problem so don’t worry about that unless your watching football. It connects to my bose mini soundlink ii speaker just fine but the speakers on this tv on amplify mode are good enough without it. The smart tv is very easy to use (tv plus is actual television)hdr actually makes the tv worse, i’ve ran tests, it’s not wide colour gamet so it’s useless to have on, unless you want more vibrant colours. Most of the features are best turned off, all of them. The best settings for the best brightness and colour are standard picture mode with backlight at max, all features including hdr turned off and it’s just fine. Tips you should know:hdr without game mode increases input lag on some games such as rise of the tomb raider to a point where hdr needs turning off. Do not use the features unless your watching a hd 24fps movie/videoyou have to manually go into settings and turn game mode on each time if you want less input lag (19ms) compared to my 1ms gaming monitor there’s a little difference, it will hinder competitive gaming such as call of duty but im sure it’s not that bad. The thin screws go into the bottom of the base not the thick ones.

Great tv picture quality is brilliant.
Last week i bought a 43″ lg tv on offer, the picture quality was poor (better on my normal hd tv) and setting it up took forever, thankfully there was a lot of light bleed in the centre of the screen so i was able to return it and get my money back. So i went for this one and oh my god im so glad i did,the picture is awsome (4k upscaling only no 4k product to test. . Yet) and setting up is really easy too, the tv knew what was attached and straight away the samsung remotes work for everything attached. My only niggle is that all the connecters (apart from the power plug) are on one side and can get a bit fiddly as you move up.
Great picture, crystal clear. Very easy to set up – worked with sky hd and xbox straightaway. Worth fiddling with the sound settings a little and a sound bar is probably going to be better for movies but the optimised setting is good. Extremely pleased with purchase.

I purchased the tv in january 2018 all has been fine until recently when a fault occurred. A vertical colour banding has appeared on the left of the screen ; this shows from the top to the bottom of the screen and is around an inch wide. Having contacted the seller they suggested i contact samsung (due to the purchase being more than 30 days ago?)samsung have had me run screen diagnoses and send them photos showing the fault. I now await a response, meanwhile the side of the screen mimics the twilight zone opening shot. Update after several phone calls and emails to samsung customer care two engineer’s arrived pulled the tv apart and fitted a new screen. Hopefully this will last a bit longer than the first one.
There’s no other word for it, this tv is awesome. Colour is incredible, motion so smooth, 4k upscaling is so clear, dvds are like blurays, and blurays are like watching real life. Bought this after buying an lg 4k tv that ended up being returned as it couldn’t hold a candle to my old samsung hd. The bezel is thin and very smart in brushed stainless effect, and the bottom of the bezel is almost as thin as the rest, giving a real modern framed picture feel. The voice activated remote is a bit of a learning curve, but once you get used to it, really easy to use with or without voice command. Setup was a breeze and all my favourite streaming services were available (bbc, itv, c4, 5, netflix, mlb. Com, tune in)the unit is very slim for it’s size, but is quite a bit heavier than a 50″, so make sure you have a strong properly installed mount if mounting to the wall. Also, the connections are all provided in the recess, so everything can be hooked up without right angled connectors, except for the power lead (included)two little niggles: dlna servers are hit and miss, kodi has bugs if you have a large media library (works fine on my other samsung tv), but does pause rewind and forward, tversity won’t pause and rewind (even though it does on a ps3), but handles the whole library. And the sky shortcuts to channels on the home screen are entirely taken up by bbc1 regions, and nothing else, this is also not customizable.
Picture quality is fantastic and also the sound quality is brilliant.
See impressive brightness, shadow detail and authentic colour.
Excellent picture and good for sport. A very smart tv which is easy to set up and at a sensible price.
. Had issues yesterday initially with the screen going black every few minutes, but fixed this buy purchase in a new 4k hdmi lead.
Fab tv does everything you could want.
Experience Certified Ultra HD for true colour and clarity.
Only had tv for a few days but blown away by the picture quality for the price excellent tv.
Decent smart colour tv from the samsung range which is always good and reliable.
The item went ‘missing’ on its way to me so i bought elsewhere in the end. However i am very pleased with this tv. The picture looks great when viewing hd content, especially on a blu-ray as it up-scales too. The smart tv interface is great too.It uses web os so it nice and quick to navigate through the various menus. All the usual apps & on-demand services are available, netflix, bbc iplayer, itv, channel 4, 5, youtube etc. The tv also works well with my sony surround sound system, detecting devices connected to it and out putting the tv sound through it as well. At this price point you wont be disappointed.
Control all of your compatible devices and content with the One Remote Control.
Very satisfied with the picture and value. Easily fixed to my front room wall with a suitable bracket and bolts – you will need four m8 x 45mm bolts to attach the bracket to the tv if your bracket does not have them already.
I hate leaving a 3-star review for this tv but that, unfortunately, is all i can give it. Value for money is excellent, and picture quality is fantastic. The operating system’s smart features are brilliant and quick – so why the loss of 2 stars?. Basically this tv is very poorly manufactured in my opinion. The main thing i purchased this for (apart from the obvious watching tv) was for watching streaming movies and for gaming. Gaming-wise i was stumped for a while because what samsung don’t tell you (unless of course this was a fault) is that not all of the hdmi inputs support hdr – i was scratching my head for a while until i realised that i needed to swap the inputs to another port. Since this tv only has 3 hdmi inputs that pretty much limits you to two hdr input sources – pretty poor i think. Anyway, the major issue i had was that the edge backlight has terrible light bleeding along the bottom edge. I received this tv from one supplier, and it was like mini torches being shined at the bottom of the screen so i had to return it and get a replacement. The replacement is better in that the bleeding is much less pronounced, but it’s still there and if anything it’s more patchy than the first.
There is so much jargon and misinformation written about tvs that i thought i should write a review to help people make an informed choice when purchasing a tv. Here is what to look for and why. I will centre my review around picture quality. Debating the sound quality of inbuilt tv speakers which are about one inch thick is like discussing whether you would rather be punched by mike tyson or george foreman. Both are going to be unpleasant so what is the point?if you are interested in sound quality, connect your tv to your hifi system via the tv’s optical output. If your hifi does not accept digital inputs then purchase a fiio d03k dac from amazon for £22. You won’t get a better dac for less than £100. If you can’t connect your hifi to your tv, then purchase a sound bar from a decent hifi brand such as q acoustics or better still active speakers such as the q acoustics bt3’s or ruark mr1s. Also, i won’t waste time describing the smart features of a tv when you can buy an amazon fire stick with alexa voice control for £25 in the sales. It is comfortably the fastest, most intuitive, most comprehensive smart interface widely available and it comes with voice activation and alexa.
