This is a great tv – good on terrestrial tv and internet services.
. Had issues yesterday initially with the screen going black every few minutes, but fixed this buy purchase in a new 4k hdmi lead.
This tv replaced a pin dot curved 4k tv that went back for light bleed issues. I picked this up on prime day for a fantastic price and the bleed is a lot less (not perfect but for the price it’s fine). The tv itself is superb, the smart functions on the 2017 models are a cut above and they seem smoother than the 9000 2016 model it replaced. The revamped 2017 remote is also a lot better than the 2016. It has a better weight and the button press is a lot nicer. The picture quality from all sources is lovely and the sound is as good as you’ll get from this sort of tv. It is one hdmi short of being perfect for me but i’m giving it 5 stars for my prime day bargain.
Great set, value for money is awesome. Not close to a oled in terms of black picture quality and there is some light leak out of the box, but overall for the money it is perfect for casual netflixing and gaming on an xbox. Will keep for as long as it runs, but going oled next.
Great picture, crystal clear. Very easy to set up – worked with sky hd and xbox straightaway. Worth fiddling with the sound settings a little and a sound bar is probably going to be better for movies but the optimised setting is good. Extremely pleased with purchase.
Bright picture and great functionality especially the built in apps like amazon. Have now ordered a second one as so pleased.
There is so much jargon and misinformation written about tvs that i thought i should write a review to help people make an informed choice when purchasing a tv. Here is what to look for and why. I will centre my review around picture quality. Debating the sound quality of inbuilt tv speakers which are about one inch thick is like discussing whether you would rather be punched by mike tyson or george foreman. Both are going to be unpleasant so what is the point?if you are interested in sound quality, connect your tv to your hifi system via the tv’s optical output. If your hifi does not accept digital inputs then purchase a fiio d03k dac from amazon for £22. You won’t get a better dac for less than £100. If you can’t connect your hifi to your tv, then purchase a sound bar from a decent hifi brand such as q acoustics or better still active speakers such as the q acoustics bt3’s or ruark mr1s. Also, i won’t waste time describing the smart features of a tv when you can buy an amazon fire stick with alexa voice control for £25 in the sales. It is comfortably the fastest, most intuitive, most comprehensive smart interface widely available and it comes with voice activation and alexa.

The item went ‘missing’ on its way to me so i bought elsewhere in the end. However i am very pleased with this tv. The picture looks great when viewing hd content, especially on a blu-ray as it up-scales too. The smart tv interface is great too.It uses web os so it nice and quick to navigate through the various menus. All the usual apps & on-demand services are available, netflix, bbc iplayer, itv, channel 4, 5, youtube etc. The tv also works well with my sony surround sound system, detecting devices connected to it and out putting the tv sound through it as well. At this price point you wont be disappointed.
Only had tv for a few days but blown away by the picture quality for the price excellent tv.
Great tv picture quality is brilliant.

Excellent product and good value. It was pretty much “plug and play”. We are not critical viewers but we enjoy the bright colours and it looks wonderful in hdtv. We would recommended this tv.
The tv is well packaged and easy to set up. It looks great and performs extremely well. I can only highly recommend this company and product.
In the context of a sub-£500 tv, this is a very, very good product. However, due to the few cons i cannot justify five stars. Firstly, the picture quality: stunning. It did require a little adjustment as the factory settings are designed to wow the viewer (shopper). I reduced the overall colour a little to stop the reds and blues being too loud, and switched the colour temperature to neutral. I also switched the contrast enhancement from ‘high’ to ‘low’ which brought all the detail into the picture and calmed everything down very naturally. I also checked out the hdr function, but honestly with this tv the image is better with it turned off; as with the contrast enhancement, it gives an exaggerated contrast at the expense of detail, and also significantly softens the image. This is one of the few indications that it is not a more expensive ‘local dimming’ tv, and is to be expected. Once the picture adjustments are sorted, prepare to be blown away, as the image of a good quality 2160p source really is like looking through a window. It’s absolutely uncannily realistic.
See impressive brightness, shadow detail and authentic colour.
Delivered quickly & works well.
Picture quality is fantastic and also the sound quality is brilliant.
Decent smart colour tv from the samsung range which is always good and reliable.
Excellent picture and good for sport. A very smart tv which is easy to set up and at a sensible price.
Experience Certified Ultra HD for true colour and clarity.
Amazing tv features and beautiful 4k quality.
Good tv, picture is a bit hard to see during bright days.
Superb picture quality, easy to set up and operate. Voice command device is brilliant.

I found the tv easy to setup also easy to navigate through the programming, and i admit i am not the best with technology.
I hate leaving a 3-star review for this tv but that, unfortunately, is all i can give it. Value for money is excellent, and picture quality is fantastic. The operating system’s smart features are brilliant and quick – so why the loss of 2 stars?. Basically this tv is very poorly manufactured in my opinion. The main thing i purchased this for (apart from the obvious watching tv) was for watching streaming movies and for gaming. Gaming-wise i was stumped for a while because what samsung don’t tell you (unless of course this was a fault) is that not all of the hdmi inputs support hdr – i was scratching my head for a while until i realised that i needed to swap the inputs to another port. Since this tv only has 3 hdmi inputs that pretty much limits you to two hdr input sources – pretty poor i think. Anyway, the major issue i had was that the edge backlight has terrible light bleeding along the bottom edge. I received this tv from one supplier, and it was like mini torches being shined at the bottom of the screen so i had to return it and get a replacement. The replacement is better in that the bleeding is much less pronounced, but it’s still there and if anything it’s more patchy than the first.
