Sony KD65XF7003BU 65 Inch 4K HDR Ultra HD Smart TV – 3 Hdmi’s not 4 is the only fall back.

Lovely tv but lacking in quality.

Not oled plus only came with 3 hdmi’s not 4 unlike its 2017 predecessor the kd55xd8005bu model which also came with a scart socket which is probabley useless now a days. Goid think about it the hdmi wires are not places next to eachother so does not mix yp the wires which also can be placed in a compartmrnt that hides the wires. Also i like how the remote synchs with the 4k bluray player even if it from a different manufacturer.

Picture and colour is set just right for me. I haven’t had to adjust anything.

Installing and setting up is fairly straightforward. They don’t mention that you’ll need a table bigger than the tv when you fit the stands, otherwise you risk damaging the screen. It has no bluetooth, and the headphone socket mutes the internal speakers, so you’ll need an external optical to bluetooth sender, otherwise to change between headphones and tv ‘speakers, you’ll have to keep plugging / unplugging the headphone jack. If you want to edit the channel list, and get rid of all the utter garbage channels, you should read their online support page for this before you buy – or maybe get a teenage kid to do it for you, as you have to move files between your tv and a pc / mac with a usb stick – and know whether you have an ‘android’ version. The 8 year old not-at-all-smart set this replaces let you do it quickly and easily on the tv itself, though it forgot everything whenever the channels needed retuning. I’m also a bit miffed that, to use the spotify app, i’d have to pay the monthly extra for spotify premium. I suppose i might be able to connect my iphone with a usb cable, and push it from there, but i don’t want to. It also refused to exit from the apps page, i had to switch it off, and back on again ( i have the mug, and the t shirt). All that said, the reception, sound, and picture are excellent, and it does have some nice redeeming features, which others have described, so i won’t repeat them here.

Excellent tv very easy and smooth to handle, easy to set up, awesome picture for ps4 also cheap price for 65” (£950 in the sale).

Didn’t see any detailed reviews so i wanted to throw in my own two cents for anyone considering getting it. I’m a filmmaker with camera/colour editing experience so the home cinema experience is very important to me. The picture on this screen is absolutely incredible. Once we had it set up, i put on a 4k video and my dad and i just sat there in awe. It completely blew away my expectations. If you told me that picture was coming from an oled screen i would’ve believed you. The colours and the depth of the blacks are just stunning. Just don’t forget that 4k content isn’t all that widely available yet and so you’ll most likely be watching hd most of the time, which isn’t bad, but it doesn’t have the jaw-dropping effect. Beware that watching standard definition video on a big screen will look poor, the huge canvas will just accentuate the shoddy quality of the picture.

Tv turned itself off and wont turn on again, even after removing all power sources to the thing, left over night, and powered back up the next morning. On turning it on again, the screen doesn’t switch on but the central, bottom standby light just blinks red. Not much more to say to be honest. Sony spend their entire lives making electronic products, so you’d have thought they’d get making a telly right.

  3. The tv arrived with the screen broken on the inside despite being perfectly packaged. So when you plugged it in you got a waterfall effect on the screen which did not work at all.
