Bose WAVE Music System Home Audio System : Best Audio Sound I have heard

Simply the best best bedside sytem you can ever buy. Simply the best best bedside sytem you can ever buy,not only this but you also can connect it to tv or any other media player.

Excellent musichavent found anything more life life. Let me start by saying this music system is not for everyones choice. Choose the music system based on the music you like. I love classical and realism of the life like instruments (like in jazz). So i took my music with me while testing out various systems available. After 3 months of testing on all the available speakers and sound systems (from the cheapest to ones that cost 20x the cost of bose wave). I found nothing that could produce more life like realism and spaciousness of instruments other than the wave music systems of bose(not even the other bose systems using other technology). The other speakers and systems had punchier base or better treble but could not produce the spaciousness and realism that the wave could. If you like rock or pop or want a home theatre system or like listening to synthethic instruments. I don’t think you will like this as much as there are better systems that produce base or treble better(althought the wave does quite a good job).

I cannot rate this home audio system highly enough. It maybe small and compact but the sound is brilliant. It somes with an example cd, take the time to sit down and listen to it – even at the volume level it says – and you will be amazed. There are no extra speakers, its all built in and the ariel for the radio is in the power cord so no cables or wires on view.

Ok, i’ve always thought bose were over-priced & apple-like in their monoply dealings, but buying this one just changed my mindset completely. Just how can you get such bass & brilliance out of this sized machine?. My whole life has been music, this let’s me live it to the max.

Small it maybe but this system is excellent add the multi cd changer and you have a excellent system plays mp3 as well hours of ex music sound is superb build quialty is excellent buy one i did.

Bose WAVE Music System Home Audio System : Great music system – when it works. I purchased this bose wave system to replace my ageing bose radio / with a separate cd player, plugged into auxiliary. I’m familiar with bose’s high quality sound. When i unpackaged the used bose wave music system, my first thoughts were that it looked to be in the “very good condition” described by the seller. In fact, when i put on my first cd, my favourable impressions were reinforced. Good base, crystal clear sound, and a wide dynamic range, with a powerful volume that belies the unit’s compact size. Then 10-15 minutes into the cd, it stopped playing, and restarting, or skipping tracks, had no effect. I referred to bose’s own troubleshooting website for advice, and acted on it. The cd reader seems to have failed. It refused to play every subsequent cd i loaded. I emailed the seller who, to be fair, was quick to reply, and very apologetic. The seller had no problem with me arranging to return the music system, which i did the next day. On the third day, amazon informed me that my refund was on its way.

It’s still working fine & is still confounding people who listen to it but can’t believe the sound isn’t being reinforced by a hidden bass woofer somewherefor more years than i care to admit, i was the archetypal british hi-fi nut. If it didn’t need a mortgage to pay for it, & wouldn’t fit into the room without having to kick granny out, then it wasn’t proper hi-fi. Well, that was fine until i downsized my house & needed to pacify the new neighbours with more ‘realistic’ listening levels. So, out went the snobby (expensive) hi-fi & in came the bose. Now i have to admit, it isn’t going to please everyone: i could criticise the bass for being a bit ‘plummy’, or the top registers for being strident, but that just misses the whole point of this system. It is designed to produce pleasing sounds from a small box that is unobtrusive (to say the least). Bose use what they call a waveguide to produce the bass: this is basically a tunnel that winds its way around the inside of the small case. It gives the bass frequencies the length they need to be realistic, & does a reasonable job, too.

Brilliant – small on the outside – massive on sound. . For anyone who’s not heard the bose wave music system and doesn’t believe all the hype in the glossy full page adverts of such publications as the radio times and innumerable colour supplements i suggest they hear one and then they will become believers. I wasn’t sure , four years ago, when i spent £500 on what was essentially a small clock-radio, when it arrived i was a bit dubious when i saw the size of the unit but when i plugged it in and tried their demonstration cd i was blown away, the depth of sound from full bass to sparkling treble was truly astounding and the output is enough for any normal room up to very loud listening levels what’s more it doesn’t seem to distort at all when on very loudly. After four years use, on the radio and using cd (it’ll play most formats including mp3s) i still wonder at how such a full sound can emanate from such a small unit. If you only have one music maker in your house you won’t be disappointed with it at all, it will surprise all who hear it from novices to hi-fi buffs alike. (and the fm reception is perfect). It may seem expensive but it’s worth it especially when you compare it to conventional systems that can’t match the audio performance and are much bulkier and inconvenient to place in a room environment.

Bought bose wave music system from bose shop. The cd works fine but i am disappointed with with t he digital reception. Compared to a cheap digital radio that my wife bought from tesco the performance is poor. The tesco radio (without extra aerial) picks up the signal immediately whilst the bose even with the extra aerial takes at least 3 or 4 goes before it settles on the signal. At times it is very limited in the number of digital stations it can recognise. The tesco radio cost about £30 the bose should obviously be performing at a higher standard but it doesn’t.

I was able to use some accumulated lufthansa ‘miles and more’ points to buy this from the lufthansa worldshop – and what an unbelievable surprise it was to experience the superb audio quality of the bose wave iii. Setting up dab was rather difficult as it took me a while to find the best site for the mains cable, which also doubles as the dab and fm antenna – although sockets for external antennae are provided. One small niggle – precise setting of the clock is absurdly difficult.By trial and error, i found that you have to set the next minute just before 6 sec to go, then release the button on the remote at exactly 5 sec to go. Neither does it correct itself for daylight saving time. I would have expected something better on such an expensive system. Hence 4 rather than 5 stars. Later models are now available, but i prefer the styling of the wave iii. There’s a ‘soundtouch’ version of the wave iv which includes internet radio if you have a wlan router and a suitable computer to use the necessary bose application.

Just love the bose system. . Love the sound of this equipment. Very happy with my purchase. Can listen to this system all day with great enjoyment.

Forget the price, just buy one. Been on amazon since it launched, never left a review. It’s either the wine kicking in whilst chilling out to a few tunes, or this is just an epic device with top quality sound. Reasons aside felt compelled to write this. Have a through lounge so was worried about chosing the 20 over the 30. Needent have worried as this thing fills the room with sound more crisp than all the packets in walkers factory. I just need to see if it’s going to reach the epic pinnacle of smoothness with the lionel ritchie tracks, at least enough to revitalise the love life with the mrs after two kids. Then i might give it 6 stars.

The sound quality from this speaker is astonishing. You can hear every tiny detail and discover sounds you didn’t know were there. My only complaint is not being able to use my bose blu tooth headphones with the speaker. For this price point you would have expected that they would be compatible but they’re not (you can only used them wired). This is because they are both ‘destination blu tooth’ devices that can only receive but not transmit. Still this speaker is too good to knock off a star because of that, so i haven’t. For those damning bose for not supporting amazon music, it’s not them. It’s amazon that don’t support it in the uk. You can always stream amazon music from your blu tooth device.

Great sound but not for a home theatre effect. Great sound, but not what you would purchase if you needed to enhance your home theater with some soundtouch 10 speakers. There is a considerable delay (about 2 sec) between this speaker and the soundtouch 10 speakers. It’s a good wireless/bluetooth speaker, though.

Originally purchased this to replace the bose sound link mini that was in my kitchen but found that it was too powerful so put it in the living room which was perfect. Rich, lovely sound that fills the room, bought the sound touch 10 for the kitchen and they work perfectly together.

After having my bose soundtouch 20 for the past 3 weeks, i can not fault it one bit. With out a doubt the best speaker i’ve ever used. Not just for the amazing quality but also for the pure accessibility. Easy to use with high quality music literally at the push of one button from any room in the houseanbsolutely amazing, debating buying more for the rest of the house.

Great for our fitness studio. We bought this sound system for use in a small fitness studio of approximately 32m². It fills the room with sound loud enough so you can’t hear the person next to you albeit that’s on full volume. Sound is crystal clear to full volume and the bass is heavy which is good for training to. The bass might be too heavy for domestic use but i think you can alter this via the app. We only use it on auxiliary as several people use their phones on it using the 3. Lovely build quality and the remote is easy and responsive.

So far so good, very pleased with it. Videos on setting it up don;t quiet match what i had but hey ho. Excellent sound quality though.

Awesome for all music brilliant for accessing radio via the bose app.

Money well spent amazing sound and easy to set up.

It’s a bose so what i expected. However there have been some negative comments so my experience was great. Setting up and getting the app, taking the bass down slightly, etc quick and problem free. Personally i will only use the blue tooth so cannot see the value in the presets, wifi aspects. I spent a lot of time, in fact far too much researching umpteen blue tooth speakers for the ‘best’ sound quality. I am not an exoert but it sounds mighty fine to me, plenty of power for home listening do that time was wasted.

Love this speaker, i already had the sound touch 10 in my living room, but i thought it would be a better idea to buy the 20 for the living room and move the 10 upstairs to the bedroom. I’ve got my laptop and spotify connected to the system, i didn’t have any problems getting it connected up and working. The sound is great to my ears, although there is a bass reduction adjustment option in the app. The multi room sound option works well, you can walk from room to room and the sound transitions seamlessly which i really like. Small complaint is that the supplied remote doesn’t seem as responsive as the remote supplied with my sound touch 10, not sure if this is due to the sensor placement or change to design but the remote for the soundtouch 20 seems to need a much more direct line of sight with the speaker. The dpeth of sound is stunning. The dpeth of sound is stunning. I have the bose wave and this puts that to shame. I like the remote control and the ability to share my apple music via my iphone. I’ve not tried output from other sources yet, but if i can get it to work with my smart tv.

Bose soundtouch 20 series iii – the pain and the glory. This is a substantial piece of kit as you would expect from the company whose shares are majority owned by the massachusetts institute of technology (mit). This reviewer has an old bose cd player which sounds as good as the day it was purchased 10 years ago. As a piece of technology, it is simple. You put in a cd and it plays, wonderfully filling the room with sound. To get to this desired state with the bose sound touch 20 series is not so straightforward. Part of the problem are the instructions which tend to optimistically suggest that you link up any bluetooth on a product like an i-phone and it will connect. While it may register on your phone or tablet ‘settings’ do not waste your time trying to pair. You have to download the sound touch app which as other reviewers have indicated is a right royal pain in the jacksy. The bose boast that this ‘takes just minutes to configure and establish a wi-fi connection’ is being economical with the truth.

Amazing sound and seamless spotify integration. This is a fabulous wi-fi / bluetooth speaker from bose and my only regret is that i waited so long before buying it. I’ve been using a bose soundlink mini bluetooth speaker for the past four years but having recently subscribed to spotify premium, i decided that i needed an upgrade to something more powerful and after doing some testing, the soundtouch 20 proved to be the best option for me. Being bose, the sound to my ears is perfect and there is the option to reduce the bass if you find it too heavy. It goes very loud and it’s so clear and it’s more than capable of filling a room and a massive upgrade from the already impressive soundlink mini. Setting it up and connecting it to my wi-fi was very straightforward. There is no battery – it needs to be plugged in to work. It has a handy remote control. The integration with spotify premium is seamless and you can assign playlists or individual albums to the six pre-sets buttons on top of the speaker. All you then need to do is press the button and without the need for any devices whatsoever, whatever you assigned to the button from spotify will play.

Fantastic piece of kit fills my kitchen with great sound.

Super quality as you would expect from bose. Great base, more volume than needed and looks super.

Bose Solo TV Sound System – : surpassed expectations

Overpriced but thats bosebut it’s great. I was very happy with this item, the sound is great. First of all i would like to make clear i do not work for bose. I was almost put off by some of the reviews but glad i did not listen to them. Yes the bose is more expensive than perhaps it should but it looks great and has a nice refined sound. Overpriced maybe but its a bit like buying designer clothes, you dont buy them for value. Some reviews have moaned about the bass, i was worried it would be like a boom box after reading some comments, its not at all. Infact the bass on it is great in my opinion. If you have the money i would def recommend this item.

I spent 2 weeks, every day debating which soundbar to get. Went to currys to listen, watched numerous youtube vidoes and read numerous reviews. An optical lead and a power lead and your away to go, simple to set up. Havent tried connecting everything through the remote, not sure i will bother. I purely bought this for a louder sound with more clarity and extra bass when watching films, playing ps4 or listening to music through an iphone. It does all 3 brilliantly and im very glad i picked this one. I bought mine for £299 but if you aint sure what to buy, then just buy this one cause it will tick all the boxes. I have a samsung ku600 50 inch which too wide to sit ontop of the box, so ive put this under the shelf of the tv unit instead.

Huge improvement in sound quality. Around three months ago i purchased a panasonic 32 inch veira smart tv. Superb picture quality but tinny sound with hardly any depth of bass at all. I did not want the clutter of surround sound and boom boxes and having had bose headphones for a year and been very satisfied with them, i auditioned the bose solo unit. In the shop it sounded good so i opted for 30 day free home trial. Installation was simple, took about 10 minutes to unpack, install and start listening. Tv sits on top of the unit, looks very neat yet unobtrusive. Some friends came round and we decided to watch a dvd of the whitechapel tv series. They had not noticed the bose box under the tv and when the dvd started one of them said straight away ‘god, what an awesome sound from such a small tv’.That says it all about this product.

I love this product so much i cannot begin to tell you. I’m not going to get all technical because other reviewers before me have already done a great job so i am merely commenting on the sheer pleasure of it all. The sound quality is second to none and i love the fact that whatever film i am watching it somehow comes alive. Viewing the tv is good too all i need to do is make a few adjustments and hey presto it’s perfect, it makes me smile with delight. I have noticed that the bose solo is getting mixed reviews to which i say ‘to each his own’, there are complaints out there mainly about there being too much base, you do have an option to turn it down. Me, i love at bit of base too much perhaps and that may be the reason why i love it so. There will be lovers and haters of the bose solo, which one are you?.

Bought my ‘solo’ system a month ago with the bass reduction ‘option’ now installed, for those who want, or need, to reduce it (as some reviewers have stated, although i disagree). My wife and i are in our 60’s and were having trouble picking up the speech on many programs. The clarity through this system is just incredible, as well as the other background sounds that we realised we had been missing. We have connected it via the sky system and the optical lead as there was no optical port on our tv and this was so simple. I would recommend this system to anyone who has difficulty listening to their tv programsabsolutely perfect.

Bose Solo TV Sound System – Black : I purchased the bose solo as it was a very simple and beautiful design. The bose solo was installed onto a glass tv stand with my samsung 40 inch tv placed on top. I connected the bose solo to the tv via the supplied optical cable. When switching the bose solo on for the first time it was apparent that there was far to much bass responsefor my living room. I guess this was partly due to the fact that the glass tv stand was positioned in one corner of the roomand maybe if it was possible for me to move the tv and stand to a central location in the living room this may have reduced the bass, but in my case the layout of the living room this was just not possible. So i went on line to look for anyone who had the same problem and there was a number of people around the world that did have this problembut had no answer. I then went on the official bose usa web site and found that there was a software upgrade for the bose solo to reduce the bass level. Please use following link for software upgrade; [. ]after the software upgrade i was able to switch between the original bass level and the new reduced bass level via the mute button on the remote handset supplied with the bose solo.

Be very careful (updated; now no need to be careful). We have now owned a bose solo for two weeks. As described set up is really simple. Choose your cable connection of choice (three are provided, optical, co-axle & rca). Plug the mains lead in and turn off or fully reduce the volume of the tv speakers. Our tv is a panasonic tx-l37dt30b. The initial impression was wow. But this was based on chosen scenes from dramatic blockbusting dvd’s such as saving private ryan, black hawk down, jurassic park etc. Gun fire, a tiger tank shaking the ground, t-rex roaring and thudding by are all absolutely amazing compared to the tv’s own speakers. However the initial excitement has turned a little sour.

This has been a welcome addition to the house. My mum is having difficulty hearing the tv and the volume tends to be about 45 (maximum is 50). The problem seems to be the clarity of the vocal performance combined with the background noise/music – do actors really mutter instead of articulating their words. I have a dread of electrical equipment (i still remember setting up our first video recorder and its awful indecipherable ‘how to’ instructions) so i was incredibly relieved to discover that connection was very simple. This isn’t one of those fancy surround sound home cinema packages but an expansion speaker which adds to the existing speaker(s) which came with your tv. Did it make it easier for my mother to hear what was being said?.Over the weekend she has watched tv without having to have the volume shaking the walls and without saying ‘what did they say’.

I had this unit on a few weeks trial (you can have it for 1 month’s trial) and i have to say it does what it says on the box. I have a 47′ samsung and the tv sound is crap after plugging in the optical lead and selecting external speakers on the tv menu it was working a treat. 00 is well over priced and i have now returned it to bose. The sound was better with this unit but not £350. If you have plenty of money then is for you.

Better than my samsung tv speakers, but was not blown away by the sound for the cost. . The speaker unit is neat, easy to use and definitely better than the samsung tv speakers, but for the price i was expecting something with a little more ‘oomph’. This is no substitute for a full surround sound system or sound bar, but is better than tv speakers so i will keep the unit. I have always bought bose speakers and always found them excellent, this unit is the first that has dissapointed me slightly and it’s not cheap for what you get.

I normally think bose items are overpriced. But if you have money to spend you aren’t going far wrong by buying this for your tv system. It regulates volume so adverts don’t blast out anymore and movies/games/music sound great. You can blast out the sound if you want and it’ll still sound really clear. Problem is a lot of tv channel signals are quite bad and you don’t really notice until you turn them up with this unit. It highlights flaws in audio that you otherwise wouldn’t otherwise notice. However this is simply nitpicking. The unit is fantastic albeit expensive as hell.

After reading a good few of the customer reviews i was put off slightly by some of the negative ones. Especially the coustomer who complained about the base on the product and also on the replacement unit. Needless to say i decided to go ahead and purchase bose solo tv sound system. I am so glad i did, as the unit has perfect sound quality and really is as good as advertised. I actually have the unit on a shelf below the tv and connected to my tv via the satellite system. Would strongly recommend anybody to purchse if they are looking for a good sound system.

Bose SoundTouch Wireless – Just what we needed

I bought this from john lewis (i had vouchers) and i really like it. It is small enough to fit anywhere. I have connected it to my bose wave iv and it sounds great. I like that not only can i stream bluetooth but also play music from my nas drive. However it drops a star because soundtouch doesn’t allow me to connect to amazon music -now if i lived in the usa it would.

This was bought for my 17 year old son, he loves gadgets and easily worked out what to do with it and set up, he’s happy.

This is a great device for adding bose soundtouch capabilities to a set of stand alone speakers or anything else you could wire into these, you have a choice of phono, 3. 5mm headphone style jack or optical, device was a breeze to set up adding to my wifi network and existing soundtouch account, the only negative with device is the price. The streaming music services, itunes and bluetooth all work flawlessly on their own on multi room playing. Here are the specifications for the Bose SoundTouch Wireless:

  • Connects to your existing stereo or home theatre system to stream music wirelessly
  • Uses your home Wi-Fi network or Bluetooth devices for easy access to your preferred music
  • Easily expands with other SoundTouch speakers to stream music throughout your home
  • Easy setup and all necessary cables are provided
  • SoundTouch app makes it easy to control your music through your phone or tablet
  • Compatible with any computer speakers, stereo systems or home cinema with 3.5 mm mini-stereo or RCA port

I’m really pleased with this. I’ve plugged it into the aux-in of my blu-ray player/surround sound. Adds a whole new room to my sound touch network.

Works well with my bose cd/radio player.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Super little box
  • Great addition to soundtouch house
  • Bose at its best.

Connects up with our bluetooth connection without fuss.

Expand your bose soundtouch system. A great addition to your soundtouch system. Added to my existing soundbar as the soundtouch soundbar is seriously costly. Works with alexa too, so the dot in the room will play music through it, with a simple ‘connect’ command.

Great item, i’ve used it to upgrade my old bose wave system and i’m very pleased, would recommend 👍.

Fabulous product to bring your old stereo to the streaming world. There are other less expensive solutions in the market, but if you want bose quality and/or you already own a soundtouch speaker, this is absolutely the product to chose. I already had a soundtouch10 speaker i use in the kitchen but i’m a bit of an audiophile, so managed to keep my current system in the living room but still take advantage of streaming capabilities and get a multi-room system at the same time. Very happy with this purchase.- specially now that the soundtouch app has received a much-waited update/upgrade.

A perfect product will bring life to your old system steaming music from your new music apps. Finally i can connect my old bose 3. 1 glx to my soundtouch network and hear my old songs stored all over the house. I had asked the bose store guys since years if they would come up with something like this. Thank you guys at the bose labs.

Very good product just always on optical link that dont allow my system to rest.

Awesome product – can connect to anything.

Bose SoundTouch 10 and 20 Series III Wireless Music System Bundle – – and of course never disappoint. Sound quality is exceptional and clear

Lovely sound small enough to move around and app easy to set up, just allow for updates.

Great item, very clear sound.

Great speaker but it’s not portable which is what i wanted. Have returned this one but when i update my houses sound system i will definitely get the soundtouch speakers.

What a great speaker, works great with my soundwave. Can use together or separately.

Excellent speaker – my son loves it – for his so called music – the bass is amazing. So impressed with the quality i bought a soundwave for the bedroom.

Reviews from purchasers :

Great speaker but it’s not portable which is what i wanted. Have returned this one but when i update my houses sound system i will definitely get the soundtouch speakers.

Great sound, fits my interior, but the remote is not really working well.

Great sound, easy to work & with the app can get radio as well.

Bought for hubby as he has wanted a decent speaker for years.

To set up but support from bose was very good and we got it installed. Proved to be difficult to set up but support from bose was very good and we got it installed. The software is a bit tricky and could be improved but sound quality is very good.

Neighbors called the cops on me cause my music was too loud. Refused to ‘turn it down’ when cops came, went to jail for a bit, worked out like hell, got a face tattoo and now unemployable.

Fabulous sound and a tiny footprint. First impressions:unboxing the unit, i was surprised by how tiny it really is. My first thought was that something so tiny couldn’t possibly live up to the bose brand and fill a room with sound. The build quality is excellent and the rubberised buttons on both the remote and the unit itself mean that it’s ideal to use in the kitchen without worrying about steam compromising the integrity of the switches beneath. I was surprised to find no mention anywhere of a graphic equaliser beyond the basic bass control, but soon found that it wasn’t necessary. Setting it up:the instructions were pretty clear and easy to understand and it only took a few minutes to download the app to my phone and connect the unit to wifi. Once set up, i signed up to the free trial of deezer included with the unit and started playing some music. My first impression based on the size of the unit could not have been more wrongthe music:the first track i chose to play was ‘nights in white satin’ by the moody blues. From the very first bass notes in the intro, through to the haunting vocals and iconic strings and flutes in the instrumental break, the clarity of the sound was out of this world. The bass response rivals that of my wife’s marantz setup with huge tannoy speakers on sand-filled stands that used to fill half of our living room.

Bose SoundTouch 10 Wireless : to set up but support from was very good and we got it installed

A very polished and accomplished speaker – top marks. . Sonos play 1 or bose soundtouch 10, a decision i had to make did a lot of research on the subject and fouls to be the best, i’m not disappointed one bit – the sound coming from the speaker is incredible, it works nicely with an echo dot via bluetooth. Amazon music uk currently does not work with the speaker, hopefully thats a matter of time and in the meantime its easy to bluetooth my phone and play amazon music from that or via the echo dot.

If you want to use this speakers to watch a movie – avoid at all cost. . This product would receive a 5 start if there wasn’t just a minor problem. Sounds perfect works perfect but has a really big problem with an almost 0. 5s lag in audio streaming when you want to connect it to your laptop to watch a movie with nice sound. If you have no other speaker(s) and need to use them (i got a pair of st10) to hear audio connected to a video – forget it and but for example sound blaster roar (the first model) that will serve the purpose perfectly. I have expected bose to deliver in bluetooth connectivity but it failed miserably. If you search forums you will find a lot of people complaining about the lag because such a lag no matter what bose support is trying to tell you is unprecedented and is not experienced with any other major brand. Bose tries to tell to everyone this is a normal thing and that any audio device that connects thru bluetooth will experience similar lag. Well dear bose support i own bose qc35 really near bluetooth headset that expeiences no lag at all. I own a crappy bluedio bluetooth speaker that have no problems eaither.

Just received this speaker from amazon five minutes ago. It’s fantastic, set up only took a couple of minutes and twenty mins for the speaker to set itself up. Can’t believe how good the sound is from just one speaker. I’ve just ordered another two from amazon for other rooms in the house. Only bad thing i can find is it doesn’t recognise amazon music app which is a bit disappointing as i have loads of my music on itruss.

Great with spotify, just in time for the christmas carols.

My son has this attached to an amazon dot to use spotify and loves it. For its size you will not be disappointed.

Amazing clarity and depth of base.

Google play or anything which streams over bluetooth works absolutely fine. . Lovely rich sound; works flawlessly over bluetooth or wifi. I listen to a lot of classical music and this provides a lovely rich tone throughout the room with no distortion. No need to use the bose app to play to the speaker; google play or anything which streams over bluetooth works absolutely fine.

Bose SoundTouch 10 Wireless – Just little speaker

Excellent sound and easy to use.

I wanted a discreet powered speaker for the spare bedroom that had a line-in, bluetooth, physical buttons for quick selection of radio stations and a remote; this speaker from bose ticked all the boxes. Soundwise it’s pretty much what you would expect from bose, extremely good given its size and every bit as good (if slightly better) than the sonos 1. In terms of features i know bose market the soundtouch range as a multi-room solution with streaming capability however i own only one unit and 90% of the time it’s playing audio from the line-in or one of the preset radio stations (accessible by 6 keys on the top). That said i am able to browse and play music from the twonky media (dlna) server on my home network without issues. Unfortunately it doesn’t support amazon prime music (in the uk) nor does it support google play (it does support spotify i believe but i don’t have a sub with spotify). One of the things i really like about the unit is that (when listening to the line-in source at least) it powers up in a split second. Most amplifiers take a second or two to get going but this thing bursts into life as soon as you press the power button. One thing to note on the line-in, there’s a fraction of a delay introduced into the signal, presumably because the bose has to convert the audio to a stream for the purposes of broadcasting it to other speakers that you might own, which for the vast majority of people won’t be an issue, however if you’ve got other speakers in your home hard wired to the same source you’ll hear a bit of an echo (this behaviour is also evident in sonos products that carry a line-in port). I really like the remote (sonos take note), its just the right size with excellent responsiveness.

Bose SoundTouch 30 Series III Wireless : If like me you have music via Amazon prime then simply

This speaker works non stop if you download the soundtouch app on your laptop and transfer your wmp songs there. Then everytime you go into it and play songs, it switches on the bose automatically. I have only just recently found this out. It used to drop out of the bluetooth everytime i played it directly from my wmp but now that’s a past problem. When i reshuffle songs on the wmp it automatically syncs the app. If you love deep bass in music, this is for you. Reggae lovers will enjoy this system very well cos it brings out every detail in the reggae and makes it heavenly.

Eaisy to install and vers good sound.

Bose are the way to go i have this and the mini link.

Fantastic speakers but let down by the horrific app that controls them. . Fantastic speakers but let down by the horrific app that controls them. The speakers are really great with amazing sound for the size and once you get it working the internet radio is very good using the presets. The music library really does not work well with wifi and to save yourself constant frustration it is best to select your library on your phone and use the bluetooth connection which works well. If you try and use the presets via the wifi it will keep telling you it cannot find your music, this is due to your computer going into sleep mode or every time you shut it down the library is gonebut, be warned, unless you are quite good with tech stuff you will probably throw the whole thing out through the window after you have restarted your computer/router/device/soundtouch multiple times and gone through 7 different setup scenarios. Plus having some lengthy conversations with the very nice and helpful folk at bose tech help. In all took me about 5 hours to get it set up plus having to return the first one i bought back to the store, (it was a series 2 without bluetooth had to give up and admit defeat after 6 hours). Once set up and running it is excellent and i love it. The question is why does a big reputable company that makes excellent high end products produce an app written by a demented monkey?.Come on bose pay a couple of proper programmers to do a proper job.

Bose SoundTouch 30 Series III Wireless (Bluetooth/Wi-Fi) Speaker System – Black : Amazing sound, appalling app and user interface. I bought this thinking it would be even better than sonos, which i had experienced at a friend’s house. The sound is superb, yes, and connecting viablue tooth is easy. You can’t play music stored on your iphone or in the cloud, which is the whole point of these apps. I wish i had just bought sonos in the first place.

This bose speaker is the best sound i have ever heard. The speaker or system offer a fair few ways for you to connect too and access music. It connects to your wifi network or can be bluetooth paired with phones or non wireless devices via a mini jack auxiliary input. You can also if you like hardwire connect into your network via a cable. The instructions are fairly straight forward, displayed on large sheets of paper bigger than a3 size. Installing the bose app to your smartphone/tablet or computer couldn’t be easier. The step by step instructions guide that the app runs through show how to connect to your wireless network.

Bought it for my husband who thinks it’s great. We really rocked the foundations of the house when we turned the volume right up. Recommended by our son in law so great job.

The sound from this thing is amazing, i already own 2 series iii 20’s and 1 series iii 10 which sound very good, but compared to this there nothing. The base and overall sound is so natural sounding. I have also connected this to smartthings and my logitech harmony hub, so have even more options to control it and automate it. When i was looking to buy other speaker for my dining room, i was looking at another series iii 20, as the price of this was really putting me off, however i took the plunge and bought this for my lounge and moved the series ii into the dining room, i did get this was £50 off which did ease the pain, however i would say hand on heart, for the extra £150 the series iii cost compare to the series ii, its money well spent.

I bought 2 bose soundtouch 10s they are great but they needed something else to go with them so i got the bose sound touch 30 and dam it’s great very very loud in fact to loud works great with my amazon dot.

Amazing speakers, well built, excellent sound. I received bose soundtouch 30 series iii wireless speakers last week with amazon’s next daydelivery. As usual no issues in delivery and packaging. The outer box was amazon cardboard boxwith paper cushioning inside and a very sturdy inner bose original box. Inside the box, there is a speaker unit, usb to microusb cable, power lead and manuals invarious languages. Set-up: it is quite easy to get speaker out of the box, connect the power lead (you do notneed to connect the usb cable unless you want to get the system connected to a pc and set itup) and start. An amber flashing wi-fi symbol appeared on the screen. I downloaded bose appfrom itunes (free) and after installation, i connected my iphone to the home wifi network.

Fantastic sound as expected from bose, but so compact too.

Eaisy to install and vers good sound.

Speaker i love, application is just a like. . The bose application needs a bit if tweaking to match up to sonos, but the speaker itself is undoubtedly superior from a sound quality perspective.
