A great introduction to internet radio. A great little piece of kit, easy to set up, it found our network without problem and the reception and sound quality are fine for the price – if you’re looking for an entry level internet radio, based on my experience so far, i can highly recommend this unit.
Excellent audio reception and ample favourite presets. Excellent audio reception and ample favourite presets. Casing, however, is rather ‘tinny’ and whilst some persons may appreciate the very light weight, i personally prefer something heavier. It does not have as many loaded stations as my roberts stream 107 portable and i was disappointed that my own local bbc channel and its neighbouring one were not installed.

First class piece of equipment – buy it . First class piece of equipment, compact, stylish, efficient, does exactly as described, easy to set up and covers a multitude of worldwide stations as well as local. Reception is excellent and sound is good without the addition of extra speakers, although i have added. Design is good and sits well in any surroundings.
This is a class piece of kit. It’s small so will fit on a small table, ledge, or wherever you want it. All i need to focus on now is how to make sure i can receive radio stradbroke to it. The sound quality, too, for such a small piece of kit, is superb. I love it, the family loves it. Although we were very fond of our 10-year-old reciva, this is definitely a better radio.
It is relatively easy to set up and. For the price, this device is excellent. It is relatively easy to set up and you soon have 50 or 60 interesting stations saved in your favourite list. Then comes the problem – it is virtually impossible to re-order the list. If you want to move a station from position 56, say, to position 16 then you have to make 160 button presses on the remote control. I gave up and simply printed myself out a list of the stations. The first 5 ‘favourites’, nos 1-5, for some reason, can’t easily have any programme saved into them (the instruction booklet doesn’t help here). If you try to move a programme from say position 8 into this special favourites place, you can do it but then you have a gap in position 8?.The sound quality is good from the in-built loudspeaker but unless your ear is within a foot or two of the set, it is not loud enough – but would be ok with external speakers connected to the 3.
Ocean Digital WR282 WiFi Internet Radio with Music Streaming Wooden Cabinet -black : Great product, a few minor problems with wifi network connection but nothing i couldnt resolve. Would recommend the product to others who dont have a great dab/fm reception in the area. Audio quality was clear, but lacks a bit of bass.
Decent radio for the price. . Purchase arrived quickly and well packaged, i’m not computer tech savvy but found setting up radio simple, only downside, as posted by others, remote had no batteries supplied, still, for the price not a problem.
I connected up to my old aiwa stack system with it’s very powerful speakers. I now, in addition to vinyl and cassette, i have internet radio, bluetooth connection, home network connection as well as dab through the same system. Easy connection to all, instructions very clear. I often wondered why bothered about internet radio. The difference is quite pronounced. Listening to a certain genre from different countries means there are different play lists and you dont have to listen to the same old tracks played by stations in this country. To find the stations, you download the app (mine onto a laptop) you then search the list, and try the stations. Add them to your favourites and they appear on the ocean digital system.
Thousands of stations which makes selection somewhat tedious. Screen will dim completely but complicated. I don’t understand why these boxes are so expensive but this is at the bottom end (around £60) and seems ok. As listed, thousands of stations which makes selection somewhat tedious. Screen will dim completely but complicated.
Easy to use and superb quality. I was surprised at how small this radio is but it works perfectly for our needs. Connecting to wifi was super simple and gave us so many digital options we were spoilt for choice. We haven’t had a problem with the signal on analogue channels either. Setting up the bluetooth was also insanely easy, as was saving favourite channels. In fact everything about this is really easy to use and streamlined. We couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
It compliments my old bose wave radio beautifully equipping it with dab, internet radio and bluetooth capabilities. I love the colour display and it also features a proper external antenna connection so i can connect it to my external aerial. There is a similar product to this on the market which only has a built-in telescopic antenna and no aerial socket which would be no use to me. Fast response when buttons are pushed on the included decent sized remote control with zero lag. This unit is very slim so i can place it at the front of a shelf and still store items behind it. It sounds great also (via my bose wave radio used as an amplifier) as the unit does not have any built in speaker(s). Fills a gap in the market particularly for users who prefer to still use their vintage or favourite audio equipment and gain the additional benefits this unit has to offer. It gets a thumbs up from me.
My third internet radio – and so far this one’s still working. Quite a neat little piece of kit, once you fight your way through the log-on instructions, and re-set the battery in the remote so it works properly. Note that at the end of entering the wifi password you should not press the ‘right’ button to enter the final letter, but go straight to the central button which enters the entire password; when you have a french router with an un-alterable 26 character password which fails to register after the third attempt, you learn these things. Shame the instructions didn’t make this clear. Still haven’t got the ‘switch back on to the last station listened’ working, despite switching that setting that on several times, but we’ll get there. Just wonder why all internet radios have to be so complex to set-up and tune in, when it’s so easy on an iphone.
Early morning in uk can be a bit temperamental with receiving north american channels. In all other respects this is a great wee gizmo; easy to set up and well worth the price. If you like slick looking tech then avoid this. It’s a black brick with little going for it in the looks department. But it’s reliable with very secure wifi link up. The only thing i don’t like is that unlike dab this has no rolling on screen programme info. I would have thought internet radio would have more info but apparently not. So-so sound (mono tinny speaker). But it is a good radio if you want to listen in to radio botswana. Or for that matter any other channel on the planet.
Very good, works in sweden no problems at all. Very good, works in sweden no problems at all. One thing we did find was that the code to register it on the web site was a little hard to find but other than that excellent.
