I was amazed at the speed of delivery from the supplier, and thrilled with the product. Transfer of old records to cd so simple and the results superb.

So far i have found the teac lp-r500 to do all that i had hoped for. I spent a great deal of time checking all the alterative machines before deciding on this one. I bought it mainly to record my collection of 78rpm and 45rpm records. Although my linn lp 12 turntable can be adapted to play 45s i prefer to keep it for my lp colection which are in much better condition. After recording to cd i then transfer to hard disc through my akurate ds player. The tone arm is rather light and flimsy but i expected it to be considering the fairly low price paid, with reasonable care i dont expect any problems. Over all i am glad i decided to pay a little extra.

Brilliant copy station, arrived on time, well made not cheap looking. It copies cassettes and vinyl records to cds easily, instructions easy to understand.

LPR500 Vinyl & Cassette Copystation in Wood Finish : Worth every penny teac lp-r500. After pondering wether to buy or not to buy for about a month i finally decided to purchase this teac lp-r500. It seemed a lot of money to lay out but as i have got numerous cassette tapes & lp’s i decided after reading other reviews to buy it. It came with a fast delivery and was soon set up. I was stunned by the quality of the built in speakers, expecting them to be a bit tinny, but far from it. They are better than my pioneer speakers. As for operating it the book of instructions is quite clear, a bit like going back to when you had your first record player i found, but it was fun. I did wonder why i couldn’t get my cassette tape to play, but found i had not pressed the button twice (read the instructions instead of going straight in). I also didn’t twig the recording set up from cassette to cd until i read the instructions again, doh.Having tried it out in every department i was extremely pleased with it, and it is worth every penny.

May cost a little more but worth that extra cost. This item costs more that other products i considered buying but that additional cost shows in the ease of use and quality of reproduction and playback. It plays records on all 3 speeds – 78, 33, 45. A tip for ripping is that it transfers as a single track but this can be broken down into individual track by the press of a button whilst transferring. It took a couple of practices in order to get started but is now so easy to do. I highly recommend this product.

Wonderful way to listen to the classics. After a lot of research on what vinyl system to buy, this seemed to tick all the boxes. Plays all the old records in great clarity without having to take the space of a separates system, goes great in the kitchen and i’ve used to tape deck, and radio much more than i anticipated. The option of recording to a cd is nice, but was not a key feature for the sale of the system for me. The system is well built, and looks like it will stand the test of time. Only minor downside is that it doesn’t have dab, which i can’t mark it down for as it isn’t advertised with it. Great system, definitely recommend for this price bracket.

Superb recordings from this machine, highly recommended.

Its compact, versatile, provides a good sound and is good value. I’m still exploring its functions and not tried recording etc yet. Only disappointment is the requirement for an external vhf aerial for the radio.

So worth the money- great recording features. So worth the money- great recording features, great sound, love how it can play both vinyls and tapes. It was exactly what i wanted and very aesthetically pleasing as well.

Bought this after reading reviews on amazon and on the web. I have awarded the unit four stars, would have been five if the turntable had been a better quality. People have criticised the quality of the turntable, yes it is very plasticy and there are no adjustments that can be made but, it does produce a good sound. In fact the sound through the internal speakers is very good and through a stand alone external amp the sound is even better. Recordings from vinyl to cd-rw are really good with a good tonal range as are recordings from cassette tapes. The instruction manual is first class and the recording process is quite straightforward. The turntable speed seems to be accurate as the vinyl playback and recording sounds faultless. The unit itself isn’t very pretty, in fact i think it is ugly but, it does a great job of copying your vinyl and tape collections so you can digitise them. I wouldn’t use this as my primary sound system, and wouldn’t use it as my main deck for playing vinyl.

Brilliant thank you have made an old hippy so happy love it.
    1. After many weeks of hesitation i decided to buy this ‘copy station’ which also serves as a vinyl record player which is the main reason i had for buying it. It arrived within 4 days and was well packed and protected. After unpacking it carefully , taking care with the clear plastic cover and things like the cover hinges, i unscrewed the turntable support screws using a screw driver (not my fingers) and inserted the fm antenna. It was then time to test two of its functions. Firstly, the radio facility which i aligned to our local bbc radio station with an excellent result. Then it was time to test the record player function which operated exactly as the video guide stated. The result was excellent reproduction of long unplayed lps. Cd playing produced equally good quality sound. I’ve yet to try the cd recording aspect but don’t doubt that the result will be as good as everything else so far rested.

This is a cd recorder with turntable, cassette deck and am/fm radio. It doesn’t make or play mp3s although there is an aux socketwhich can be used to connect an mp3 player. It reminds me of the old steteograms our parents used to have in the 70s and the turntable and cassette deck are probably of similar specification; basic but functional. What earns it five stars is the build quality, the styling and the quality of the sound. The cd player sounds way better than it should for the size of machine. True, it won’t do for dubstep or bassline but jazz, rock and classical are reproduced to a quality which sits well in most middle and working class living rooms. The aux out channel will serve to connect it to external speakers for when you really want to rock the house. It looks good and is solidly built. Not state of the art hi fidelity but a good system for old hippies with lots of old media to play with.

All systems appear to be working fine but haven’t tried to record anything yet. All systems appear to be working fine but haven’t tried to record anything yet. Sound acceptable for the price, only negative comment would be lack of usb connection. The extra money involved for the model that gives this is not good value.
